Cancer: I'm struggling with the uncertainty of my wife's stage 4 cancer. We can't plan anything and we're only late 20s. Is leaving cowardly and selfish?
Sickness can be one of the greatest challenges in life. It can drain resources. It can absorb all of your time. It can be frightening both for the person who has the illness and their loved ones.I would imagine that your wife right now is very scared. Scared of dying, yes. However, research shows that people in terminal illnesses are less afraid of dying than of being alone and uncared for during their final days.In marriage vows, it's commonly stated, "in sickness or in health." In other words, what makes marriage special, one aspect that gives a marriage relationship its unique strength, is that it's a promise to stay by someone's side not only when times are good, but when they are hard.Try to imagine your positions are switched. It is you who has the terminal illness, are undergoing regular medical treatments, wondering what will happen, and your spouse is frustrated, impatient, and is considering leaving you to pursue her goals. How would you feel? What would you want her to do?Look deep within yourself. This is the opportunity for you to give someone a gift of love of a lifetime. You can help your wife feel loved and comfortable as she leaves her life. It is perhaps one of the greatest gifts we can give- a sacrifice of our time and comfort to serve another in their hour of greatest need.I promise you that if you do this for your wife, you will learn things you cannot learn any other way. You will experience things that will be powerful, profound, and beautiful. You will never forget this experience, and emerge from it wiser, more empathetic, and with greater emotional strength. You will never regret remaining faithful and committed to your wife.
How to get away from my controlling boyfriend?
My boyfriend of three years is jealous, controlling, and possesive. I am to the point I can't stand it, and have tried to end it.(We live together). He will not take no for an answer....he cries, begs, and pleads, promising that he will change...I have already taken him back once because of this. How can I move out without him bothering me? He just wont accept that it is over,he gets extremely mad...and then he cries. I don't know what to do. i just want to move on. I have two children in the home also. When I try to end it, he calls me 100 times at work trying to plead with me. Help!!!
My brother-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 of laryngeal cancer?
He will have radiation and chemotherapy. Chemo makes people nausius(sp). He will lose his hair and will get weak.He will need alot of mental support as well as physical. He will get depressed and go through stages. Be there to support him. Someone needs to go with him to his treatments and his doctor visits. When he gets sad let him talk.Mainly show him support. Also doctors don't know what a persons life expectancy is. They said my husband had maybe 6 months if he was lucky. He is going on 3 years. He has stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer that went to his brain. He may also doubt God. Help him keep his faith.
