I Want To Start An Education Club In My College. What Activities Should We Do All I Can Think Of

What kind of activities should a weekly high school math club do?

That's really cool that you organized a math club for extra help on your school's math curriculum! From what I've heard/experienced, most school have math clubs that are specifically for students who want to study and prepare for math competitions, and from those math clubs, teams are formed to represent the school. Perhaps you could consider math competitions. There are many kinds, from a somewhat SAT multiple choice format with AMC to a team effort with Purple Comet. If you like all the different formats, perhaps see how you could qualify for ARML!Fun activities like Pie on Pi day are always a good idea! Perhaps you could look up some stuff that Vihart covers in her videos, like hexaflexagons. Numberphile also brings up many interesting concepts in his videos. The possibilities are endless!Good luck and have fun!

How can I start a film club in my college and what kind of activities it should include?

Most colleges have film clubs. The biggest argument for opening a film club is the education you get from watching films. Films inspire college students highly. There are lot of good documentaries that show you the actual reality. I don't think opening a film club will be hard. Now I would suggest you to do the following things.1. Screen classics which are not much watched.2. Screen movies on topics like you can show the good world war 2 in a given month.3. Screen documentaries, short films.4. It is bit of ambitious but you can organize workshops on screen writing or direction.Good luck :)

I need ideas for business club activities!?

Often there are state competitions you can be in. If you can't travel, do them on line. Winning these makes the school look good.
Perhaps you could get partnerships or something with local businesses. They could come and talk to you. Board of education would probably approve of that.
The teacher who sponsors your group also will have ideas.
There are also people in your community who will come and talk to you about business plans, etc..

Also, see about working with the business teachers to set up a job or career fair. Your school might like to have one or already have one that you could help with. You can make suggestions about who to invite, help write invitations, help set up, etc. If this is too big a job, you could have several come during lunch.

Can you get permission to have some kind of business at school. I have know FBLA groups who ran school supply stores, etc., on campus. They kept all the records, scheduled, planned orders, researched venders, polled to get ideas about what would sell, etc.
Can your group organize some kind of charity drive?
The main thing you need to do is to talk to your sponsor for ideas. You don't want to promise something and then be not allowed to do it.

What club/extra-curricular activity should I join/start in high school?

It is an excellent question. It is based on your interests. It could be drawing, music, oration on the fine arts side. It could a choice of one sitting indoor game (Chess/ Carrom board) and another active game (Table Tennis/Shuttle badminton). In addition to this, select one field game, either foot ball/hockey. A question will arise as to why select one item from each. The idea is to equip to enjoy the engaging activity suitable for the time/ environment of the day. When the outdoor situation is harsh, select the indoor game to enjoy and vice-versa.The right path to the true education is about moving into the core curricular activities from the extra-curricular activities through the co-curricular activities. The real education does not happen inside the four walls of the classrooms. It can happen anywhere. The best way to get ready for the core curricular activities is by doing extra-curricular activities and co-curricular activities. It can be understood from: “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”.

Do colleges and universities really care that much about extracurricular activities?

In a few days I'll be starting my junior year of high school, and I'm kind of worried that when it comes time for me to apply to colleges in my senior year, I'll be rejected from a lot of the schools I might want to go to because I don't do enough "Gettin' Involved" in my school and community (because people are constantly telling students that it's really important to do sports and clubs and community service and so on). But how important, really, is stuff like that when it comes to college entrance?

So far I've taken every AP and honors course available to me. In ninth grade my year-end GPA was 4.36, and in tenth grade my year-end GPA was 4.43. In tenth grade I took the only AP class offered to most sophomores (AP US History) and I got a 5 on the exam. This year (11th grade) I plan on taking all honors classes and AP Language & composition, AP Psychology, and AP world history. I did "Student Government Association" in ninth grade but dropped it because I thought it was pointless and I came to realise that I really could not care less about school spirit and things of that nature. In tenth grade I did the school newspaper, and in junior/senior year I plan on continuing with newspaper, joining the "world culture club," world language honors society, and starting a writing club with a friend. The only community service I've done so far is helping at the humane society (cats and dogs). I play the piano very well and play the violin in the school orchestra, I'm good with foreign languages, and I'm a good writer, but I've yet to use any of these "talents" to join extracurricular activities because I'm pretty lazy and find many school clubs (key club, SGA, National Honors Society) to be too much effort and kind of unnecessary to be honest. I'm not one of those kids who feels the need to join fifteen different clubs, but I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

From what I've given so far, do I sound like I'm not doing enough to get into a lot of good colleges and universities? So far I've considered schools like these:
-Boston University
-Northeastern University
-NYU
-Tulane University

And other schools like these. With the credentials I have grad-wise, etc., do I sound like a student who would have no trouble getting into these colleges? Or do I not have enough extra-curriculars to get into the colleges I listed?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I want to start a chemistry club at my school. What are some good activities to do?

I would recommend the experiment where you crush a can by creating a vacuum within the can.You start by putting some water into a soda can, then you put it on a heat source for some amount of time so that it starts boiling. Then, you quickly flip the can over into a bowl of cold water. The can crushes. It’s pretty basic but it also amusing.I would also highly recommend supersaturating a solution and using it to create pillars. The solution crystallizes when it hits a “seed” which creates cave-esque structures. Also, for more things to do, I would look for kid or chemistry lab experiments/demonstrations. There are a lot of cool things to do, some more complicated that others, obviously.
