I Was Fired Today And Have An Unemployment Question Help

May lose job at walmart... Unemployment question?

I am a temporary associate at walmart. When I swiped my badge today, the clock said "your badge will expire in 10 days". I am worried this means I will be fired.

I am only 17, but I turn 18 in a month. I don't live with my parents, so I really need the job or unemployment. Will I be able to get it? Is there a way to file for it a month after
I lose the job? Also. Can you receive unemployment if you have two jobs but were fired from one?

What am I going to do... I'm so scared. Please help?

Fired for not being a good sales person. Can I get unemployment?

I live in the state of Illinois. I was wondering if:
a) I am fired for not have great sales numbers am I still eligible for unemployment security benefits?
and b) if my employer makes me sign a letter saying they can fire me for not selling at a certain percentage and they do, will I be eligible? Will my employer fight?

How do I answer my Unemployment claims questionnaire?

I was let go two days ago because my boss just didnt feel like i was a good fit. He said that i did all the right things but that they will go a different direction. So since ive been there for a little over 6 months i am now filling out a claim. My question is that when i chose the discharge/let go option in the form it is now asking me to fill out a questionnaire as to why i was fired. I wasnt technically fired. I didnt do anything wrong other than they felt my performance wasnt up to par. I had only missed one day of work also. So why do I have to fill out this questionnaire? Has my employer already contacted unemployment and said i was fired? Also should I choose the laid off option or stick with the discharge/let go. I know in NY that these are the only two options that you can collect with. Being fired would not give me any benefits. Please answer asap....i need this filled out yesterday

Unemployment: Fired for attendance?

You might be able to collect. Your company will likely decline it and you will have the opportunity to appeal. If you have the emergency room receipts, et cetera, to show that you were absent for a valid medical reason, you MAY be able to get it.

Can I get unemployment still for being fired for attendance?

I just got fired today for attendance. I had two written warnings. I asked HR when I was fired if I would be able to collect and she said they wouldn't fight it. I am wondering if the state of Utah will deny it on their own. Please help.

If I get fired from my job, am I eligible for unemployment?

Typically, yes.Apply for the unemployment. If your employer does not fight it, and most won’t, you will get your unemployment. When they ask you at the unemployment office why you were asked to leave, simply indicate that your manager told you there was no more work. The unemployment office will validate it with your former employer, but it is typically not an issue.

Can I get unemployment if I was fired for being absent to attend a funeral?

I was fired today because I refused to come into work because I had to attend a funeral. I asked everyone I could to cover my shift, and even offered people extra money as an incentive. I discussed my issue with my 2 assistant managers all the way from last week, up until it happened, and I told them I needed the day off. I called today to tell the head manager and she attempted to guilt trip me, over and over again, and yelled at me continuously and told me I was a terrible employee, I told her I wasn't coming in and said that's all there was to it and hung up. I became homeless 2 years ago, and my friend and his family took me in for almost a year, and I grew very attached to them, and I consider them more family than my current family, and the person who died was the father, and it was his funeral I was attending. I was there both to support my friend and mourn the loss of the man myself. Can my work really get away with this? He wasn't immediate family but I was extremely close to him and emotionally attached, and has I gone into work, I would have been a miserable, irritable wreck.

If you resign do you qualify for unemployment?

Like most things. It depends. In the US if you resigned because you had good reasons it is possible to resign and claim unemployment.  Example your employer switches your hours to another shift and you cannot get childcare (or is cost prohibitive).  You may be able to claim unemployment however you will likely be asked to prove the situation. If you believe you were forced out or needed to leave your job for medical or other reasons you should seek legal assistance to see if you should file/likelihood of success.  But the quick answer is if you don't like your job and quit you are not likely going to be able to claim unemployment.
