Is my mom controlling? What do I do?
Here's a list of things I'm concerned about: (I am a 16 year old girl) -mom is always in the room during doctor appointments and won't leave -locks on the tv and computer (my dad doesn't even know the password) - I'm not allowed to wear any shirt that touches my stomach or brings ANY attention to my boobs -she takes my phone at 8 PM unless she forgets -she has to approve all my friends which she has unrealistically high standards for (Ex. Has to be an A/B student, no family problems, can't be gay, etc) -seems to try to take me away from my dad -won't let me express myself -scrutinizes my size (I'm 96 lbs) and the fact that I don't wear makeup or dresses -pushes me to sign up for clubs that I hate in school -told me that she won't help pay for college if I go to school to become a psychologist (my passion) -forces me to eat after I'm full (to make me gain weight) -complains about my mental illness -won't let me get my drivers license until 18 (we get them at age 16 here in NC, U.S.) -won't allow me to go off campus for lunch at school or ride in a friends car -won't let me see a real therapist for my mental illness because she doesn't like that she doesn't know everything I tell the therapist -she researches every book I want to read and only lets me read about 5% of the books i show her (literally) -won't let me be by myself in my room for a long time PLEASE HELP
How do i tell my mom i want to start wearing makeup?
so i am 12.5 and im in 6th grade. all of the girls in my class wear just a little mascara and mabe a little blush and eyeshdow. alot of kids call me a nerd even though i dont look like one just because im really smart. so how do i tell my mom i want to start wearing a little bit of makeup maybe just for special events. i have really hinted to my mom by at home i ask her if i can put some makeup on just for fun i watch makeup videos on youtube whenever we go to the mall and she gets her makeup i look at the samples and try them on but she still hasnt even slightly asked me and im not really a girly girl but i want to look a little more i guess more put together for school and im really interested in skin care and stuff. also my mom is always on me about my dry skin and i think wearing makeup would be a way for me to taske care of my skin better. What do you think? honest opinions please..
My mom is taking my stuff and giving it away?
I'm 17. I have a job. And I pay for all my own things. I'm also the only one who cooks and cleans in my house. So. No. I'm not just being whiny. I buy higher end make up, like urban decay. My mom will go out of town and take my eyeshadow and bronzer and come back with it broken. I don't care if she uses it! But she drops it, the eyeshadow and stuff breaks and then she throws away my make up because it's broken and gets mad at me for it! She'll take my clothes (I'm an XS to an XXS and she's a M) and wear them, so they get stretched out and I can't wear them so I let her have them. If she sees something that is mine, that I bought and paid for, and she thinks someone in her family can use it. She gives it to them. She just gave away my TV! She's given away two of my laptops and my tablet this year alone. I have a couple horses, which I bought and pay for their care. They are fairly nice horses with a good show record, and when my cousin decided she wanted a horse to keep in their yard (It's about 1/2 an acre and they live in the country so no zoning restrictions) She tried to give away my horse! She couldn't because I got the horse's ownership papers in my dad's name because I knew she'd pull something like this. Then she called me selfish and spoiled and didn't talk to me for 2 days when I told her that she couldn't give away my horse. She's seriously starting to get on my last nerve. On top of that. She assumes I'm a whore. Literally every time she sees me with a bowl of ice cream. She asks if I'm pregnant. She thinks I've slept with every guy I know and refuses to accept that I haven't. I gained two pounds and she told my entire family (Aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins) that I was knocked up! What can I do about this? She's driving me insane. I want her to knock it off but she's my mom so I can't tell her that. Please help!
How to get ready for school in the morning?
hi im a 16 yo girl and it takes forever to get ready in the morning and in the end i still look like sh-T! i usually wake up and 4:30 am and go to school at 6:45 am which gives me 2 hours and 15 min to get ready ! . Today i had 2 hours to get ready and i ended up going to school with messed up hair and messed up jeans and i got in a fight with my mom and dad bc i was late! and i had about 5 minutes to brush my teeth , pack my bag , put my school uniform on and run ! . I hate how i can never get my hair to look nice. I don't use heat on my hair only when i go to the hairdresser and even if i blow dry it !! it looks like **** in the first hour . I always end up putting my hair in a ugly *** bun and my face is full of acne and scaring. I have a few face products (makeup) and none of them work . And i can't go to sephora or target and buy those full coverage foundation things bc i don't live in america and they don't sell certain makeup products where i live they only have the sucky ones that look cakey and dont coverup. Im going on vacation ( to america) next month so im planning on buying lots my makeup to coverup my acne scaring but for now im stuck with pimples (they never go away no matter what) and i look horrible and it's really humid where i live! .Anyways so i usually spend like 10-30 minutes on hair and it still looks like **** List of things i do in 2 hours: shower( i shower at night and in the morning !!) , hair(useless) , brush my teeth , eat , put on clothes, makeup( but it's useless!!) , wash my face with my face wash , make lunch and i always end up watching tv going on my laptop to watch youtube and i end up rushing myself! Idk how to get rid of this curse ! my hair never is pretty some girls just have to shake there head and their hair is gorgeous . i look like a spider if i do that .......and just wanna look pretty . And i neeed to learn how to get ready in 2 hours! i mean like that's alot of time ! but why cant i do it?
SUPER overprotective parents - I'm 14?
Ok so I was the only girl at 8th grade graduation, dance, and banquet without a single gram of makeup on my face. My dress looked like and old lady gown, and my mom wouldn't even let my curl my lashes (I did anyway). My parents are the most conservative EVER. I can't wear anything that shows my shoulders, barely my knees, and if it touches my stomach or butt at all it's 'too big' and a need a new one. And I'm 14 1/2. I barely ever go out of the house, never allowed out with my friends, and no tv or internet anything non-educational (my mom is out right now). Here's my makeup issue. My mom will NEVER let me wear makeup. When I bring it up he says 'You want GROWN MEN looking at your face?! Save it for your wedding!' It's so STUPID. Our school doesn't allow makeup but almost EVERY GIRL wears it anyway and they don't care. They only care if a nerd (like me or my friends) ever wear it. So I can't wear it to school. I want to wear a littttttle bit (maybe clear mascara or a tiiiiiiiiiny bit of gloss?) to homecoming but I know it's not going to go well, especially will my baggy old lady faded floral dress covering my arms and halfway down my calves. :(. HELP!!! And btw she has NO makeup. On her wedding she just paid and artist and now has NOTHING.
