I Was Recently Denied Enterance To The Usaf What Can I Do

Son is graduating from USAF BMT will I be denied access to the AF base if I have a felony theft conviction?

After 10 years the rights are restored to one to even own a weapon and in many states a firearm as long as one was not used in the commission of said offense.

Denied entry into air force... seriously?

Recently I was denied entry into the air force due to past drug use (I did ecstacy twice when i was 18). I'm currently 30, about to finish up my 2nd degree in Microbiology w/ a good GPA and many profs willing to give me letters of recommendation. I have no criminal history, and I'm preMed about to go to med school (pending MCAT results). After getting kicked around a couple of recruiters, one finally just flat out told me i was denied because of my past drug use.

I'm a smart guy (yes, as an 18 yr old it was a dumb decision), I'm in line to be a doctor, but I can't join the air force and be a doctor there? I don't understand this decision. I'm not decimated, I'll make way more money as a civilian doctor but being able to help soldiers and vets while stationed in a different country and helping my country at the same time sounds great. I've heard of waivers for past drug use and alcoholism and even medical conditions being given out occassionally, but when I asked the recruiter about those she simply said "We aren't doing those." Is there any way around this? Is there anyone higher I can go through?

Also, since I was denied only through a pre-Eligibility check paper, can I apply later on? I feel like being honest about my distant past bit me in the *** when I COULD have lied about the whole thing. Is there already a file created with my name on it that will be there for eternity or will they trash it since I didn't even get to the MEPS step? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

PS. For those of you wanting to label me a druggy, understand that I haven't done any of that in over a decade. Once you try a beer, that doesn't make you an alcoholic. I'm proud of my past as it made me who i am today, and when i have kids I'll be able to say don't do drugs like your dumbass dad did because I did them and it was a mistake. But the past is the past, and the future is always built on the foundations of it.

EFMP (USAF) denying base preference..?

Are you enlisted or officer? If you are enlisted and your BOP gets denied you have to choose your next assignment based of the Equals Mandatory Movers/OCONUS Returnee list. Due your EFMP status the gaining base will have to approve you child based on the available resources. It is possible to pick a base and then get denied in the EFMP process, if that happens the AF will pick a base that has the needed resources. My suggestion would be to talk to the EFMP coordinator at the bases that are on the Equal list and see if the resources are available and then only put those bases on your assignment preference list. This will help save you some heartache and pain during the whole process.

Can a person with sweaty palms be rejected from air force entrance exams like the AFCAT or the CDSE for the flying branch for his sweaty palms?

The thing with rejections is that its better to leave it with the medical officials of IAF medical selection centre. Don't stress yourself with that part of the selection procedure. Attend SSB and give everything you have. You can't do anything about the sweaty palms but you definately can have an experience of a lifetime. So don't do self diagnosis.

The Air Force Surgeon General Denied Me. Can I Fight Back?

I wanted to join the air force reserves to become a C-130 Pilot. I was bullied a lot in high school and i had the administration deal with the bullies and the school sent me to the psychiatric place to make sure i was not suicidal. They said i was fine and i am not suicidal. I gave the information to my recruiter he sent that information to the surgeon general, the SG needed more information. I went back to the psychiatric place to have an assessment to see if i was ok, i made sure i did not say anything that would hurt my chances, they said i was completely fine. Then the SG denied me for some reason.

I have basically dedicated my life to become an Air Force pilot, at this point im stuck, if there's a tiny chance of hope to be able to get into the Air Force I will take it no matter what the cost.

Can Leave be denied as punishment in the US Air force?

My girlfriend, who is air force, wants to go on leave so we can move apartments but some of the people in her flight were acting up while their supervisor was away for a few days and as punishment no one in her flight can go on leave, including my girlfriend who is one of the people who did nothing wrong. Can her supervisor legally do this? Also can anybody find it in the AFI?

Will I be denied entry into the military with Osgood Schlatters disease?

Will I be able to obtain a wavier if not? I'm hearing contradicting answers. The official manual used for the MEPS decisions list that Osgood Schlatter is disqualifying IF SYMPTOMATIC, so what does that mean? If it hurts me or if it left a bump...is the bump considered a symptom? Just trying to get some straight forward answers before I go to MEPS. Thanks.

Can you be denied from joining the Air Force if you have filed chapter 7 bankruptcy in the past?

For enlistment, it makes no difference. Hard to believe as it is, bankruptcy actually improves your credit worthiness, because you can only do it every 7 years (roughly) or so. Your security clearance could be in jeopardy though, but it isn't a blanket decision...it depends on individual circumstances. Let's face it, if you are at the point of bankruptcy, your credit couldn't get much worse.

A few years back, in the days of the C5 Galaxy, Lockheed went under and needed a huge bail-out. Last time I checked, they hadn't lost their clearance or their contracts. LOL

...and, do you really think I give a FF about thumbs down?
