I Would Like To Know The Age Range On This Thread

Which is better waxing or threading your eyebrows?what age should or did you start?

I started waxing when i was like 11 or 12, but that's because i had huge chunky eyebrows that looked so bad with my face shape. I don't think there's a particular age you should start, but it seems that you can start with your age right now, because eyebrows are like never even so.. if you can continuously wax it, it might become more and more even. Well when I first started off with my eyebrows, I would wax, but mom had I always told me that threading was better, easier, less painful.. I only tried it once.. I don't really remember but like the thread was just against your skin hard. Oh yeah! First time should really hurt so BE PREPARED. (it gets better as you keep doing it)

At what age does a man become attractive to women age 40-50?

This is a difficult question to answer I think because most women's attitudes vary a lot from their mid twenties to their mid thirties. For a woman, turning thirty (right in the middle of your proposed age range) can be quite an attitude altering milestone. Many 25 year old girls will still be in go-with-the-flow mode, not having seriously stopped to assess what actually matters to her in a mate, in a more meta way than just "he needs to make me laugh". Most 35 year old women know what they care about and for many age proximity will not be as high on that scale as it was. By that time anyone who has had significantly older and younger friends will realize that age really is just a number and maturity levels vary a lot on a person to person basis. For myself, right around turning thirty, when I was realizing that life wasn't turning out to be everything it was "meant" to be by that time ("Shouldn't I be married with kids and on a solid career track? But I still want to have new experiences and don't feel ready to settle down yet!") and realized that that was just fine, my attitudes towards men changed a lot and one of the ways in which it changed was being attracted to a much larger age range of men. I attributed it to no longer accepting societal norms of what my life should look like. Now, in my early thirties, I find myself attracted to men from their early twenties into their early forties. When I was 25, 26, 27, I would not have strayed any younger or older than 3-5 years of my own age. And I disagree with the other Anon - I would not have been persuaded by having gotten to know the man. There were nice, interesting, good looking older men in my life but I was totally turned off to them. That being said - (intelligent) younger women WILL at first be wary of why an older man would be interested in THEM. But once she is certain that you are looking at her as an individual person with a mind and a personality, rather than just trying to chase a shinier, perkier, younger thing to prove something to your ego, it's all good :)To more directly answer your question - You will become romantically invisible to almost all women when you start to approach the age of their father. This is why your 53 year old friend can't snag a 29 year old.

Why do Brahmans wear a Janeu (Upnayan Sanskar thread)? What’s its importance?

First of all let me clear one point my friend, Janeu is used by Brahmins, Kshatriya as well as Vaishya also in present day scenario, but older Vedic era texts such as the Baudhayana Gryha Sutra encouraged all members of society to undertake Upanayana rite of passage, including the Sudra. Therefore it is not restricted to Brahmins only.Social ReasonsUpanayana (उपनयन) literally means "the act of leading to or near".It is a ceremony in which a Guru (teacher) accepts and draws a boy towards knowledge and initiates the second birth that is of the young mind and spirit. In a nut shell, it is the formal introduction of the child towards his education and learning period. A verse from Baudhayana Gryha Sutra describes all the points sated above:"Let him initiate [to school through Upanayana] a Brahmin in spring, a Kshatriya in summer, a Vaishya in autumn, a Sudra in the rainy season; or all of them in the spring."—Baudhayana Gryha SutraReligious reasonOne feels steady that the god always with me in form of Janeu, I am the offspring of god. Janeu symbol of god existence with holder(who holds Janeu) which inspires a man to avoid misdeeds.Scientific ReasonWhen a man goes for urine or latrine ,he hangs and folds Janeu over the right ear. There is a blood vessel named Lohitika on right ear, it is pressed by Janeu, it helps to release urine or latrine freely and reduces the diseases related to them.AGE OF INTRODUCTIONAccording to the Hindu scriptures the following age is considered as eligible:A Brahmin boy should be 5 or 8 Years .A Kshatriya boy should be 6 or 8 years.A Vaishya boy should be 8 or 12 years. If the yagyopavit/upnayan sanskaar is not observed at the age stated above, then the maximum age limit stated by the various hindu scriptures is 16,20 and 24 years respectively for the Brahmin, Kshatriya and the vaishya boy.So my friend, this is your misconception that janeu is observed by brahmins only, and also it is not any kind of tool to keep our self superior to other castes or any kind of superior show off. This is simply observed by each and every Hindu child but due to lack of knowledge or lack of practice only few castes observe this sanskaar. Hope this will help all your curiosity.

What is the age limit to pursue a PhD?

In general there is no upper age limit. A colleague of mine got a PhD in her late 50s (Cell Biology) and I know of one guy who got a PhD in Molecular Biology when he was over 70.Age can be a problem in some systems. In Germany to get a permanent academic jop you must reach a certain rank by a certain age. That essentially means that you cannot delay your PhD.If I had a say in such matters I would impose a lower age limit on doing a PhD say 26y. Too many people, myself included went straight through the education system from kindergarten to finishing my PhD. That is not a good idea. I would prescribe a 3y gap before doing a PhD.

If you were to create an autobiographical playlist of songs that represent your life, what would it sound like?

I think if a stranger looked closely enough, they'd find some common thread to all these songs. Can you? :)

Bluebootz: I see your songs has all having a realistic feel that accepts varying emotions as it comes. It never falls into fantasy and always knows the context in which it comes from. Doesn't easily fall into the spur, or the power of the moment.

Over the average person's lifetime, how many new people do they meet?

On average we live for 71 years (based on life expectancy). Most of us remember people we meet after age 5. On an average, assume that we interact with atleast 1 new person daily in cities, 365 days in a year plus leap year days is 365.24. In total it will be (71 – 5) x 1 x 365.24 = 27,027 people. Is it a lot? This number can, of course, change substantially based on an individual's line of work. A person who works at home after graduating school will probably have far fewer actual meetings than a traveling salesman who may physically meets thousands of people in just a single year. Famous celebrities may meet upwards of 10,000 people in a single year from public appearances alone, or being recognized on the street.Either way most of us will meet around 20k - 50k people in the course of our lives. These are people you could offer something. There are many more people who you will never meet, and yet they might love to have what you can offer.

Why are kids my age so stupid?

I'm 12 and for starters if this turns into a hate thread so be it, it won't hurt me. I'm just asking a simple question.

I know it's not our age to be "mature" but it's no reason to act stupid. For example everyone wants to be the whole cool-nerd-crazy-kid so they think it's funny when they scream in your face or talk ALOT. And so lately everyone has been dressing and acting weird. Is the more "maturing" than stupidity?

Ps I'm not a serious mature kid either like I don't have a stick up my a** i'm just a regular kid.
