Hi there,If I was starting my career from scratch, knowing what I know now, I would do it a whole lot differently.I would have started my business in affiliate marketing. What job should I choose if I want to start my own business one day?
I would highly recommend you spend some years in a product manager role.Now, naturally it will depend on the company, but typically the product manager is someone who gets to know not only the product really well, but also the entire organization.A product manager, and especially if you’re selling in B2B - Business to Business, will need to work directly with the sales teams, with the IT team (if the product is technical), with the management of the organization given his type of managerial role, with the quality and control divisions, customer relationship management, and so on.The product manager happens to be the owner of the pivotal point for anything related to a given product. And the reason I’d always recommend for any wantrepreneur to become first a product manager is because you learn how an organization works, you learn how you build a product, how you forecast, how you sell it, you have to solve billing and invoicing problems, you’re pretty much the jack-of-all-trades, and so on.IMHO, it is the closest that you can have from the entrepreneurial reality within an organization.Thanks-PedroBuild Your Dream Company
Starting a business?
I’m a senior in highschool. My gpa is bad, and my ACT/SAT score is bad. But Im still very creative, and I want something in life. I want to one day have my own boutique and clothing line. I haven t looked to far into it yet but my plan is to go to a community college and study buisness , marketing, and fashion design. I want to build a good platform on instagram. I’m very pretty and people say I can be a model. (I’m only 5’5 though) I want to design clothes, make them by hand and model them myself. I know there’s more to it and it requires a lot of time and effort but I’m willing to do it. My goal going into this is to one day have a boutique of my own. I only have 100$ right now and I’m considered poor. What’s my chances of having a successful business? Where do I start? Because this is something I really want to work hard for. : )
Have you ever thought to have your own business?
Yes, I have. I consider starting a business every passing day. And I am sure a huge chuck of us do. We all seek to do somehing on our own, something that gives us that feeling of fulfilment, satisfaction and achievement. I seek that in a business I would like to pursue. Not immediately, but definitely some day!What business? Well, the first thing that comes to my mind is something to do with food. Food has always been my passion. It soothes me. Also, it is something that kind of runs in my blood. My father was a restaurateur, and unfortunately we had to shut down the business after his death in 1996. Ever since I grew up, I harboured this dream of reopening that restaurant and making it a success.My second business plan is education. I love teaching and I love children. The best way to combine the two is to teach. I wish to open an afforable school one day to cater to the lower, lower middle class and middle class sections of the society. I wish education to reach everyone.Now here’s my brilliant idea - a restaurant that also serves as a coaching institute. I will serve the best food with best education. How awesome is that! And special offers for students: more the percentage, more the discount. Isn’t that a motivation enough?Oh, I just thought of a name for my restaurant-cum-cafe-cum-coaching-centre. Actually, thanks to Prashant Pandey for the name “The Master Chef” he bestowed upon me - Master as in Masterji (teacher), and well, chef is chef.
Starting a Pet Business?
So I have a big passion for Pets mostly dogs and am thinking of starting my own business/career in the industry I would like to start a store front store one day but would rather start something like an online store! I'm just unsure where I should start whether I should start selling or making products I am also artistic and like creating things and have thought maybe I can take that art creativity into something I've also thought of dog training Although I am aware that that takes a lot of patience and a lot of dedication any thoughts of where I should start my pet career?
How do I go about starting my own business from scratch?
My friend and I often get together to make audio recordings (music and comedy at this stage), design CD covers, take photos, and hopefully one day make videos. We plan on one day putting all this together into a single business with different branches. So...how do I do this? Will it cost much money (excluding the prices for equipment)? And who would I need to approach, if anyone?
