What is the ideal weight for 5"7?

Hey everyone have this kind of doubts in their mind about their weight based on height. Your ideal weight should be 55 Kgs to 71 Kgs (121 to 158 lbs.) is normal weight for your 5.7 height.. Follow some fitness exercise on your routine lifestyle to get an strong healthy body :)

What is the ideal weight for a 5’11 male?

This depends on 3 factors 1. bone size/skeletal frame size. 2. muscle mass: athletes have more muscle which can make them much heavier than usual and still be a health weight because it is not excess weight from fat. 3 age: people over the age of 60 years are better off having approximately 10 lbs more body weight. This comes from the fact that people with a little extra weigh tend to live longer by the statistical tables kept for life insurance. I suggest that as immunity declines with age, sickness is more frequent and can cause weight loss; therefor a little extra weight helps get through these bouts of illness.Based solely on skeletal size:medium frame/172 lbs (+ / -) 17 lbs. in other words the range is 155- 189, small frame 10% less and large frame 10% more. I always ask people at what weigh do you feel the most healthy and energetic? Aim for feeling good. Your ribs shouldn’t stick out and you shouldn’t have a spare tire at your waist.

I am 5'10 in height with a medium build. How much should I weigh? I am a male

It depends on if you have a small, medium, or large frame and how much muscle and body fat you naturally carry. if you have a smaller frame and don’t carry a lot of muscle/body fat you may weight around 135 which is quite a bit less than someone who has a large frame and carries more muscle/body fat and may weigh around 175. BMI is an okay baseline measure but in reality you will want to pay attention to how well you move, how good you feel on a day-to-day basis, and if your current size allows you to accomplish the physical things you want. You mention you have a medium build so your focus for weight may be more around the 165 pound mark, unless your goal is to carry more muscle, then it may go up. or if you are looking to be leaner, it may creep down . . .

What is the perfect weight for a 6-foot male fitness model?

Male models come in all different sizes, with a 6-foot-tall male being average. They are lean and toned but still look healthy. Ideal body weight is anywhere from 140 to 165 lbs., but it varies, based on body mass index, height and body type. Body weight is not the only requirement. Low body fat is important as well to showcase muscularity and how well clothes fit.Determining Healthy Body WeightA 5-foot-tall man should weigh approximately 106 lbs., according to Nancy Clark, M.S., R.D. For every inch over 5 feet, add 6 lbs. A 6-foot-tall man should weigh approximately 178 lbs. Due to differences in body frame, add and subtract 10 percent for a healthy weight range of 160 to 196 lbs. The low end of this range falls into the norm for an average male model.Body FatJust because you weigh in the range for a male model does not mean that your body weight is ideal for this type of work. Body fat levels will determine how lean and muscular you appear. On average, healthy body fat for men is between 10 and 22 percent, according to the American College of Sports Medicine. The lower your body fat is, the more you are able to see muscle tone and definition -- the desired appearance of a male model. Very lean with little body fat -- but still healthy -- is 7 to 10 percent.MuscularityMuscle is comprised of up to 70 percent water. It is more dense than body fat. So if you have more than the average amount of muscle, your body weight may be slightly more than the average male model. However, you do not want to to look like a bodybuilder or a muscular athlete. Instead, it is desirable to see muscular definition and to look like you exercise regularly. Remain trim and on the slimmer side.ConsiderationsBefore losing or gaining weight, speak with an agent or photographer about your weight and appearance. You may need to add muscle or lose body fat, depending on the work you want to do. Maintain a healthy, balanced diet and exercise regularly to maintain a low body fat and good muscle tone. If you have a larger frame, naturally do not try to attain a low body weight for modeling purposes. You may compromise your health and not achieve the healthy look that companies are looking for.Read more

What is the average weight for 6 foot tall men?

BMI is utterly useless information, because there really is no such thing as an average weight based on height that gives any useful information - even if you could accurately calculate such an average number it would be entirely without context. According to BMI numbers, Dwayne Johnson is obese. The average weight of a 6 foot tall Samoan man is different than the average weight of a 6 foot tall man in Eastern Asia. The average weight of a 6 foot tall, 18 year-old man is different than the average weight of a 6 foot tall 40 year-old man. There is no ideal weight based on height, because despite the protestations of some, people are born with vastly different frameworks which alter what their weight would be at an idyllic percentage of body fat and muscle. There is no ideal weight based on height because some people have to eat different types of diets and do different types of weight-training in order to build muscle mass. There is no actual single example of a golden-ration human, anymore than there is a single perfect nutritional regimen that meets every human beings dietary needs.

For your height and weight (and i am presuming you are of medium built), i would say the best weight would be 178 - 195.8 lbs.

What is the average weight for a 6 foot, 18 year old?

The answer to your question depends on what you mean by "average." Do you mean average for all eighteen-year-olds who are six feet tall? Do you mean the average best weight for eighteen-year-olds who stand six feet tall? I'll assume you want the average best weight for a young man of this height.

I clicked on Js' site, and found she misread it. If you are six feet tall and eighteen years of age, and have a medium build, the chart she offered shows the best weight should range from 157 to 170 pounds.

Keep in mind that this chart is for adult men from 25 to 59. Usually, 18 year olds are leaner, and still haven't filled out completely. Because of this, you could drop the lower end by about ten pounds probably.

The NIH (National Institutes of Health) has a BMI (body mass index) chart which you can access below. Desirable BMIs range from 18.5 to 24.9. Referring to the table, it shows 140 to 184 is the healthy range. If he has a small frame, the lower end of this range would be better, and if he has a large frame, the upper end would apply.

The average adult male is now five-nine-and-a-half, 191 pounds, so don't shoot for the average defined in this way. We live in a society in which about a third of all adults are obese.

I wish your brother all the best -- and you too for trying to help him.
