If A Receipe Calls For 10 Drops Of Oil How Much Is That

How do you figure out how many drops are in a 16 oz bottle of essential oils?

ok, will have to do some conversions, I'm in the UK, an aromatherapist and we use ml not oz

but 1ml = 20 drops
now 1 oz = 28ml
so 16 oz = 448ml
= 448 x 20 drops = 8960 drops
which if you divide by 5 = 1792 lots of 5 drops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that is one heck of a big size bottle of essential oils
are you sure it is pure and not diluted with carrier oil?

Recipe for Anginetti cookies (Italian lemon drop cookies) that uses lemon juice instead of lemon extract?

I found two recipes for anginetti that use real lemon juice:
http://www.christmas-cookies.com/recipes...
and
http://www.grouprecipes.com/38641/angine...

I also found the "real" traditional recipe on an italian website (here, if you're curious: http://www.mistercarota.com/ricette/angi... ).
I've translated it your you, in case you want to try it out :)

Ingredients:
250 gr flour
200 gr sugar
3 eggs
pinch of salt
a lemon
20 gr pure alcohol
a teaspoon of baking soda
olive oil

Difficulty: 3 - they're quite difficult to make ^^

Preparation:
Put the flour and the salt in a mixing bowl; add 2 eggs and a yolk, and 80 gr of sugar.
Start mixing, while sprinkling occasionally with alcohol.
Pour some oil on your working surface; transfer the dough there, and knead if for at least 10 minutes.
Add a couple of tablespoons of oil to the dough, and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Roll the dough in the shape of small "taralli" (italian biscuits that have the same shape of a doughnut ^^) and put them in the oven at 180°C (356 F) until they're golden.
Meanwhile, in a small pot heat the rest of the sugar, 80 gr of water and the zest from the lemon.
Let it boil until the sugar melts, and them let it reast until it gets cool.
In a large pot pour the syrup (filtering it, so that the lemon skin can't pass through) . Add the baking soda and heat until,
if you take the sugar between your fingers and then separate them, a sort of "thread" forms.
Put the "taralli" in the syrup and stir quickly; when they are completely covered in icing, put them on a serving plate and let them cool.

I hope it helps :)

Can i substitute olive oil in a recipe that calls for cooking oil?

Do not use canola or corn oil or any vegetable oil besides olive oil, if you have to use anything at all. Matzo Ball soup shouldn't need any oil.
I agree on the chicken fat suggestion, but you should stay away from vegetable oils (except olive oil) because they are rancid and have been processed, deodorized, heated, pressed, heated (!) and filtered so much they have been turned into trans fat. Even though the label says otherwise!

How much oil is in one Vitamin E capsule? I have recipes calling for capsules, but I have a bottle of the stuff.

Capsules contain tiny amounts of a substance. If you are worried you might have a milligram more than a recipe calls for, that’s silly - unless you are creating medicines, it’s not an exact Science. Cut the end of a capsule, squeeze its contents onto a spoon, or a quarter-spoon measure. You didn’t state what you are making, but if it is soap, lotions or creams, the more you work with this, the easier it is to “eyeball” a quantity that will bring the consistency, effect you want- good cooks in the kitchen do the same thing.Vitamin E is a very desirable emollient with powerful benefits that can be ingested orally and applied topically; you might want to increase the amount called for in your recipe. If it is easier for you, Vitamin E is also sold as a pure liquid, by the ounces, not capsules, and is sold almost everywhere. It can be quite expensive at conventional drug stores, so if you need larger quantities, check out sites like Ebay, Etsy and Amazon, and there may be many others who sell Vitamin E by the gallons.

Recipe for Hostess-like shortcake?

I think they call this sponge cake, it's like a cross between angel food and pound cake. Try searching recipe sites, if you like to bake I'm sure you could develope your own totally killer recipe.

If you really like to bake and cook, check out Boyajin citrus oils at boyajininc.com. They are a little expensive but you don't use much and they are totally worth it and totally awsome, nothing else like them on the market. They are the 'secret' ingredient in many of the recipes I have developed over the last 10 years. When you do find your perfect sponge cake recipe, add a few drops of the Boyajin lemon oil and I guarantee it will be a super hit!

What do recipes mean by 1 part, 2 parts, and 3 parts?

so for every 1 unit of apple juice, you'll have 2 honey. Like 1 cup apple juice, 2 cups honey, 3 cups water. But it can be any measurement depending on how much you want to make.
