If Biden Is Such A Foreign Policy

Where is the foriegn policy expert and vice president, Joe Biden?

The two most popular answers here are;
"He's not in office for two months"
And "Where is Cheney"
Well.. apparently you do not like Cheney very much, so, why would you want him handling any important situations?

And as far as the two months go;
Well.. if someone can do something now, they should step forward for the good of the country. Period-
Anything else is opoligistic for the next admin, and scapegoating the last guy-

How do foreign allies and foes feel towards Joe Biden and John Kerry?

UK answerI can only give a personal opinion, because Vice presidents and Secretaries of state are really for political geeks.Secretaries of StateWe liked Colin Powell, he seemed rational and quietly spoken, ditto with Condoleeza Rice.Hilary Clinton made a less good impression because she is viewed as arrogant.John Kerry isn't entirely a success. I certainly think his heart is in the right place, but he is a military man who likes intervention. I don't think he is backed by the US government enthusiastically.I certainly think the UK is willing to back the US and Kerry plays a part in this. He is viewed as the US's heart on policy and is viewed as sincere and honest.Vice PresidentsWe liked Dan Quayle because he was a ridiculous buffoon.Dick Cheney was viewed as an unbalanced racist. Al Gore we were never sure about. He almost seemed British at times but he didn't connect.Joe Biden is largely unknown.I think he's useless personally, but not for reasons that would be considered important in the US.When Israel attacked our NATO ally Turkey's ship the Mavi Marmara, he  gave a pretty lame and ridiculous justification.It would be nice if the US at least acknowledged that killing unarmed protestors is at least regrettable, rather than jump in an say that any action by Israel is right, no matter how murderous.

Do the president and Joe Biden like each other?

Without question. They may be the closest and most harmonious presidential pair in modern history. They have huge respect for and genuinely like each other. Huge man-love there.

Is Joe Biden less intelligent than Dan Quayle?

marcia: are you as uptight as your avatar makes you look??

I bet you listen to John Stuart make fun of republicans all day long, but one joke at a democrat and your panties get all wadded up!

Was Woodrow Wilson's Caribbean policy a mere extension of Roosevelt's Big Stick Policy?

Had the progressives been a little less racist and condescending, the Philippines and Cuba could have been incorporated into the United States after the Spanish American war. If they had been handled more like Hawaii was 20 years earlier, they would be States today. The progressives, including Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson arrogantly tried to dominate rather that support befriend and slowly absorb those territories.

Do you agree with Joe Biden's claim that he is "most qualified person" to be president? Why or why not?

The President's primary functions are as the Commander in Chief, Chief Executive of the government and the sole representative of the nation in the conduct of foreign policy.In that regard, Biden is the most qualified in terms of experience and temperament. If you assert that age is a qualification, some may consider him too old. But other than that out the entire field of potential candidates he is the only one with the requisite experience.As an aside, the error many people make is assigning to the President domestic economic responsibility. They make that error because the President receives the blame when the economy is bad and the praise when it's good. The reason why, is that people like to have an individual target for their anger and the President as the head of government is the convenient target. The reality is, the Fed controls interest rates and the supply of money, Congress makes the laws, levies taxes, and appropriates funding for the agencies to perform their function. Congress also provides assistance to industry, approves treaties and trade agreements, etc. The President can propose domestic policy but Congress has to pass the laws and appropriate funding to implement those policies.So, yeah, Biden is the most qualified individual.

Who would you rather become President in 2021, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Andrew Cuomo, or Hillary Clinton?

All people I admire and respect but I think I'm going to go with Cuomo and we're gonna go about this the wrong way round by looking at why I don't want the other three.Elizabeth WarrenAn incredible Senator and champion for progressive ideals the main reason I don't want her to become President is I think she's perfect right where she is. She's an important Senator who does amazing work and running for President would take away from that. In addition she would be in her 70’s when she started the presidency and that is a difficulty. She's also shown that she has intense focus on issues important to her such as income inequality but I haven't seen anything to show me she would be a force for all of the other issues a President deals with such as foreign affairs.Hillary ClintonThe woman is done. Haven't we put her through enough? This last campaign was brutal and I really don't think she has any desire to go through this again or put the American people through it again. She will be even older than Senator Warren and her age and health were already an issue before this election.I really wish I could have picked a woman for this.Joe BidenMy second choice. He clearly has the experience for this job but I again just don't think that after what looks like four years without a governmental position he's going to get up and start campaigning. I could be wrong but it just doesn't seem likely that four years out from the end of his Vice Presidency he's going to try this. I could be wrong though and depending how Obama’s tenure is seen at that time it might be a good chance for him.Andrew CuomoHe has some of the highest name recognition of any governor. Vast amounts of experience and a donor pool many would be jealous of. It's often said that governors make the best Presidents and that executive experience is going to be a big boom. He would also be relatively young at the time of his inauguration. Some cons do include that picking someone from New York doesn't really get you anything electorally but I would assume that a VP pick would at least start to counter that, maybe even try to pick up a southern state. He's also a very polarizing figure and has some standard progressives might not rally around.I'd be honored to work on any of these campaigns.

Would Joe Biden be in Hillary Clinton's cabinet? And if so, where?

No, Joe Biden won’t take a cabinet position. It would be a demotion from his current position. But for the sake of the question, let’s imagine he did. Biden’s interests and expertise are well suited for a position as Secretary of State; his foreign policy stances are similar, if not identical to, Clinton and Kerry. But Secretary of State is an incredibly difficult job, where you’re always in the air flying to one country and headed to another the next day—sometimes less than a day. Biden’s been in politics since the age of thirty, and I assume that if Clinton offered him the job, his response would be hysterical laughter. Apart from the unlikelihood of a desire for the job, there is a certain tension between the Clintons and Bidens, especially if you read Maureen Dowd’s piece that provided a lens into this relationship. From the article:“But [Beau Biden] had a mission: He tried to make his father promise to run, arguing that the White House should not revert to the Clintons and that the country would be better off with Biden values.”      In aggregate, those conflicts alone should convince a reasonable person that Joe Biden would not be a part of the Clinton administration; it’s unlikely he would even entertain the idea.
