If Hillary Were Elected And Somehow Reelected To A Second Term

How can people believe Trump will get reelected?

Apart from the current pitiable list of contender’s for the Democratic nomination, which I can’t speak to because I find them all absurd, here are my reasons.Trump’s ratings, prior to the Mueller revelations, were about the same as Obama’s, Clinton’s and Reagan’s at the same point in their first term. They all won a second term handily. The economy is doing very well; Ronald Reagan asked the audience at one of his debates to ask themselves if they were better off than they were four years before. Because of the strong economy, everyone knew they were. The same thing is true now — people are aware of the much lower unemployment rates and the stronger economy, and their own pension plans are doing well, and their kids are finding jobs. So there is likely to be a general consensus that things are much better. The Mueller Report is in, and it exonerates Trump. So, it’s time for the Justice Dept. to go after the perpetrators of the Russian Hoax, and I think they will. Regardless of what the media says, and despite the fact that many Dems are going to remain in full-blown denial for the rest of their lives, there will be many people who will, looking at the whole situation, decide that the Democrats have lost their way, and are no longer a party that can be trusted. The Democrats have moved so far left that they no longer have the voting block they use to. Socialism has never appealed to the American people. This will be the first election that really tests whether that remains true. And whether in moving left the Democrats have acquired voters to replace to ones they certainly have lost. I don’t think so.Well, that’s it. That’s why I think President Trump will win in 2020.

Why have political parties become so polarized that they fail to address the concerns of most Americans?

Hi Sam...hope you are coming back next season!

I have been blogging about this issue for many months and could not agree more that we need a true independent party system that allows all parties access to the electorate, first, in the Primaries then in the General Election. I also favor term limits for all elective office holders.

Currently our system is tightly controlled by the major parties and lobbyists, making it nearly impossible for truly representative government. We need to send a message - Politicians who do not listen and do not do what is best for us will be replaced.

What amazes me is the fact that polling showed that Congress was rated lower than President Bush prior to the 2006 Election. There was a shift in power because of it, yet, they still haven't gotten the message.

We want performance of our wishes!

Groups such as Unity08 are a step in that direction.

Are conservatives delusional?

Why is it when conservative types speak of any of the 12republican candidates especially Trump the the foolishly and idiotically assume that somehow they would be better presidents when in fact most of them are and would be unelectable period. And quite frankly,Obama was elected twice. This will never happen with a Republican again

What about lobbying, is it just free speech, or are corporations just looking out for themselves?

Lobbying is free speech. And it can also be a form of vote buying for pols who are for sale... The constitution gives us the right to assemble and petition our govt. Like-minded people pooling their money to send advocates to DC is free speech 101. Contrary to what most pundits say, they are more good things about lobbying than drawbacks. The good is lobbyists can bring up major flaws and unitended consequences to pols on bills thus preventing some major snafus from seeing the light of day. But there are also unscrupulous lobbyists that try to "lobby" crooked/dumb pols into favoring their business over their competitors. This is called "crony capitalism". Lobbying is a morally neutral form of free speech that can be good or bad. The central problem is the pols who are for sale or use their power to extort money from corporations. E.g. It use to be Microsoft gave ZERO money to pols. But in the Clinton administration, they sued MS under anti-trust laws. And guess what happens now? MS now gives money to both Repubs and Dems now. So does this make MS evils? No..they were victims of extortion. Now you may love or hate Microsoft. That is not the point. Being extorted for protection money is a crime. Unless you're a pol squeezing a corporations for campaign contributions in exchange for avoiding a federal lawsuits... Look, pols (politicians) are not innocent choir boys from Sunnybrook farm. So don't fall for their demonization of corporations while they happily pile truckloads of corporate/union cash into their campaign coffers... Again the problem is not the lobbyists, it is the pols that abuse their power...
