Is it possible to get a job offer or migrate to New Zealand without a lot of money?

Is it possible to get a job offer or migrate to New Zealand without a lot of money? You won’t get a job offer through employers like you might expect, because NZ has legislation requiring all employers to show that they have first offered that job to Kiwis, and can prove that they have been unable to fill the job locally. So, in these times of tightened immigration, the only way you can come to NZ to work (with a Work Visa) is if your skills/qualifications are listed on our Essential Skills shortage list. Once you’ve checked out these two pieces of the Immigration NZ puzzle, you will be much closer to knowing the answer to your question.(Disclaimer : no-one (including me) on Quora is authorised to give you correct factual information about emigrating to NZ - the Immigration NZ website links that I have provided you will give you the official answers…)

How do I get a job to immigrate to New Zealand?

Best way is to get the skill shortage list..prove that you are one the people nz needs to work here then find a job as does anyone else in this country . Then use your new found employment to apply for a work visa . You get a visa . Your foot’s in the door .the long term skill shortage list will allow you to apply for residency after two years of working here if you get a job on that list .This is directly from immigration nz website ;Long term skill shortage list The Long Term Skill Shortage List (LTSSL) identifies occupations where there is a sustained and on-going shortage of highly skilled workers both globally and throughout New Zealand. If you get a job in an occupation on the LTSSL and meet the list requirements, you may be granted a Work to Residence visa under the Long Term Skill Shortage List work visa. This means that you may be eligible to apply for residence in two years, provided you meet standard requirements and that job has a base salary of at least NZ$45,000.Here is the listDo you make it on this list? http://skillshortages.immigratio...

Is it hard to get a permanent residence in New Zealand?

It completely depends on what your skills are, or who you are in love with. If your partner is a Kiwi (can be same sex, we don't discriminate here - you don't have to be married either), and you can prove a committed relationship where you've been living together for 12 months or more, then you can apply for permanent residence that way.If you wish to apply for PR via skills, then take a look at the long-term (not short-term!! That will not get you PR, just a work visa) skills shortage list, which Peter Manyonyi has already posted a link to.You also need to prove a minimum proficiency in English, good health to prove that you will not be a burden to the public health system (no, you cannot vow to buy private insurance and get around that requirement), and be of "good character", so if you have any arrests or convictions, there are certain restrictions there.Pretty much all the information you need is on http://www.immigration.govt.nz or you can also search at the central government hub of www.govt.nzGood luck!!

How can I find a job in New Zealand from India?

Sorry, you don’t. Well not easily.Unless your skills are in high demand, and thus there is a good case to get you a visa most employers will simply decline your application (perhaps without a reply). One manager told me he got a huge number of overseas applications for one short term temporary role as a lab technician. I doubt any got that job.In addition they want local experience -for a start it is far easier for them to check a CV and qualifications from a local applicant compared to a non local. In my own experience when I applied for jobs after coming back to NZ one employer asked for NZ references. If you are not in NZ at the time you apply I doubt you will get an interview (for a start you would need a tourist visa just to get to NZ which takes time). Now there are some areas of the economy which need workers and there will be recruitment companies which will seek out such workers. For example the following one handles agricultural recruitment. Farm Jobs and Work In New Zealand. But unless your job pays more than the average wage, your time here is limited to three years with a one year stand down outside NZ (new rule recently introduced). Now if you are in New Zealand, have a pathway to getting a visa (or have already have a visa) things are different. Many people study here and then use the degree as a partway to a visa and employment.Of course you can marry a New Zealander (or resident). But Immigration NZ is on the lookout for sham relationships. So you have to prove that the relationship is genuine. I work with two nice Indian ladies who came to NZ through this visa option - but you better have lots of proof you are in a real relationship. Be aware that getting married for a NZ visa might be the wrong motivation for a visa (imagine being stuck in a bad relationship). So your options areHave a high demand skill which will get an employer to hire a non local and go through visa hoops.Find an area which we have a skill shortage (but your time is limited to 3 years unless high paid).Marry a Kiwi.Study here and then find a job which is in the field of your degree. (I am not sure on the exact rules here). So unless you have a skill in high demand, there are very few easy options for a person in India.Oh and don’t use dodgy immigration advisers. We just threw out some Indians who used fake loan documents in order to get study visas.
