Really, it’s not necessary to go over the top buying things for your “crush.” Attention to the girl, finding out what her interests are and organising outings, taking her for dinner - these are the actions that show her you care. Certainly, small gifts such as a bracelet or some other little token are great gestures, but it’s not necessary to shower her with goodies. A good gift for a Korean woman?
I would recommend a gift that is sure to appreciate, such as Honey. The bigger the container, the better. A sure-fire bet would be imported, such as American Honey. Honey is an ingredient that would be used in numerous Korean dishes and teas. I would not recommend personal items such as jewelry, clothing, perfumes, handbags, or cosmetics. These "personal" style items that you like may not be so likeable by the recipient. Naturally, the woman would show her appreciation for the gift, but it's also likely the woman would not use the gift, or perhaps use it as a gift for someone else in the future. Other food type gifts would be appreciated; Korean is okay, but imported (foreign) would be better. Some older Korean people believe foreign shows more "status" of themselves to visitors. A superb Korean brand of gift to give would be Hanwoo Beef. This is the beef grown here within Korea. Be aware Hanwoo Beef is more expensive then regular beef, or even imported American or Australian beef. This is simply the very best beef there is. Nothing can compare. I recommend staying-away from imported American Beef. Korean people are still somewhat "sensitive" about the Mad Cow Disease" scare a few years ago. (This is if you are living here in South Korea) It would have helped with informing people which country you are currently living in. Even the type of gift giving would vary from country to country. Not knowing which country you live in, I would recommend staying with the Hanwoo Beef. Although more expensive, you will see the woman's eyes light-up when she sees what it is. .
