If I Receive Ssdi And My Benefits Are Suspended Once The Suspension Has Been Lifted Will I

How do you receive SSI if you have Down Syndrome?

SSI is based on family income. If the family income is below a certain level, then the person qualifies for SSI. If the person with Downs Syndrome's parents are retired or are deceased, they then would qualify for survivors disabled child benefits AND be eligible for Medicare. Go to the Social Security office nearest you and apply for benefits. You will need a physician statement that the claimant has Downs Syndrome. The claimant may also need someone to manage their funds and the physician statement should reflect if this is needed.

Will my SSI benefits get suspended automatically if I have a warrant?

NO, the existence of an outstanding warrant for a criminal offense will not automatically suspend SSI benefits. The rationale for the suspension of SSI in the case of one’s incarceration flows from the fact that you are a “guest of the state” while you are incarcerated and therefore your needs that SSI benefits are allotted to you (or your payee on your behalf) are not necessary. The existence of an outstanding warrant does nothing to effect your SSI benefits because a warrant authorizes your arrest for whatever reason is stated on its face. The warrant does nothing to impact your eligibility for receipt of benefits. If you read the fine print regarding eligibility for continued SSI benefits you’ll note that the length of incarceration must exceed 30 days (Caveat: It’s been some time since I had occasion to review the regulations so you should undertake your own research!)In the event your SSI benefits are suspended during your incarceration you may have to re-apply for the reinstatement of said benefits assuming your conviction is not a bar to continued SSI benefits. If you win your case you should look into whether you are entitled to receive back benefits not received during or because of your incarceration.

Can you work for Lyft with a fake SSN?

Hmm? By the question you asked, I know that you shouldn't apply to be a driver for any type of ride sharing platform. Because your question reeks of the possibilities of either having a personal background that is criminal or something of that ilk.On a secondary note. If you were to apply and miraculously get hired. I'm quite sure that if you were to be stopped by a law enforcement official, you would not get away with such an illegal action as using a false SSN. Which would lead to a trip to the local jail to determine who you really are. I also believe that both law enforcement officials and the courts would notify Lyft or Uber that you were not who you actually claimed you were.So why waste your time? Is lying about yourself really that important? Why ruin a good thing for the good people like myself and other hard working men and women of Lyft and Uber?I am of an age where having to find a new career is quite difficult. It is a shame to have to deal with age discrimination already. You would make it even harder to switch careers at later midlife age.
