If I Vote Republican Will Ebola Go Away

Original Question: Will Republicans be voted out in 2018?Let's establish where the democrats have ended up in the last 10 years. In Eight Years Barack Obama Has Obliterated the Democrat Party in Record NumbersThe Democrats' Losses in State Races Were a BloodbathBefore the Dems can win they need to identify their problem. Before that can happen they need to look at their own house, and listen to their base. Trump listened, constructed a message, and won. The people may live in fly over territory, but they are/were tired of being ignored. The “deplorables” have found their stride and their voice. Victory is sweet and the republican voters will not want to get this taste out of their mouths any time soon. The Dems will lose more power if they don't find their way out of the wilderness we see them in. They are lost now, and 2018 is soon.

Why do the poor vote republican?

Republicans in general do far more for the poor and needy than Democrats as a rule. But they do not do it through government programs they do it through nonprofit organizations such as their church that do a far better job at helping the needy than the Democrats do.

At the same time, they help them to acquire skills that will make them more productive and help so that they do not need others to help them they can help themselves.

All the Democratic programs that 'help' the needy just insure that they stay needy. they do nothing to help these poor they just throw money at the problem.

When Republicans lower taxes they are lowered for everyone, when Democrats raises taxes they are raised for everyone.

The tax breaks you love to cry about are not to to high income workers but to employers who give jobs to those who are needy.

In short as the saying goes give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he will eat for life. Democrats want to give while Republicans want to teach.

Additionally Republicans have a higher attendance in church and have a stronger belief in the sanctity of life. This is what many of the poor have in common with Republicans, they share the same values and don't want to live off the government for the rest of their life, they want to stand on their own two feet and contribute to society. Democrats lose voters every time this happens so have a vested interest in keeping them poor.

Why do some Latinos vote for Republicans?

this could be a brilliant question....i think of the few Latinos who vote republican has to do with the platform of "kin values" the republicans have accompanied....Many Latinos and Hispanics have faith in stable households, professional existence, hard paintings, faith, and so on.....yet what a overlooked probability for the republicans! they could particularly courtroom this group, yet they don't! Democrats courtroom them plenty greater, simply by fact they seem to be a minority....i'm a republican and Hispanic, yet further and extra, i think avoided with the help of many republicans.....So I certainly have distanced myself from the Republican social gathering.....in my view, Repulicans have overlooked the boat, they have not got the hindsight to be sure, what a brilliant demographic this group would be in the close to destiny....!

Any Republican challenging Trump for 2020 would be committing political suicide. I don’t care if it was my very favorite republican in Congress, they would become dead to me. I would call and excoriate them on a regular basis to drop out. This is because Trump has been a phenomenal success for the Republican Party. He has done a great job and achieved far more than other Republican candidates would’ve dreamed of doing. Even better, he has the momentum of an incumbent and a base that supports him to the hilt. It would be stupid to throw that away. And it would prove that their ego was running the show. Because if they truly wanted to make a difference, now is there a chance in Congress to be as conservative and right wing is they want to be, and Trump will take all the punches on the chin for them. Trump is the target that the opposition focuses on, and he will continue to be. This is a great opportunity for everyone in Congress to try to push through everything they’ve ever wanted.

Stay poor, vote Republican, right?

Can you handle the truth? Time for a little education...
The democrats invented welfare. They claim the proof that it is working is how many they get signed up, not how many get taught to be self-sufficent and self-supportive. The democrats want to GIVE everyone health care insurance. From where do you suppose that money will come? The insurance they want to "give" is Tricare. It's the same insurance given our military. And for decades, they've told our military that while their pay is non-competitive and substandard, they get great benefits. Giving the civilians who haven't earned it, the same benefits as our military, what lie will you tell (our military) to keep them in? The rich get richer, not because of any tax breaks - believe me, as a small business owner, I'd pass it off to the customer long before I'd let it cut into my profit margins, because they make good choices. When Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence, the "freedom" of which he wrote was financial. The more money one has, the more opportunities and choices one has. Those with little or no money, are enslaved to their creditors. Which brings us back around to the many social programs offered up by the myopic democrats. You take the money, you forget how to fend for yourself and become enslaved to big brother government.
My parents were poor and always voted democrat on the promise that better times were coming. I didn't get my first pair of shoes until I went into school. I retired from the military and went back to school. My wife and I started a business on less than $5,000. Last year (our 3d year in business), we cleared $90K - and we don't get a rebate of a tax break. We owe. What good is choice if there are no consequences? Vote democrat and stay poor and live on a pipe dream? I think not.

Why do Republicans want to take away voting rights from college students?

Really? you "learned" this from a blogger? How reliable is that when I just read on the bathroom wall that you are totally wrong! Explain to everyone how [I quote from the "article":] "

"Boosted by major electoral gains in state legislatures nationwide in the 2010 campaign, Republican lawmakers in 32 states are pushing measures that would require citizens to show a state identification or proof of citizenship to vote."

means "students lose their right to vote". It seems to me that at least one Party is concerned with voter fraud... especially since they are the usual victims of it!

Are you still going to vote for a republican even though the democrats have a better tax plan?

They'd rather have two ugly bags belonging to a man named Mitch McConnell dangled in front of them than face reality.

So, record turnout of the Democrats is really appreciated. So we don't go through 2 years of freaking depression and put this country into a hole it can never get out of.

I'll take 10% unemployment any day over the 25%+ unemployment that resulted from another Republican screwup. Herbert Hoover. And as usual, after THAT election the Republicans stonewalled Roosevelt's efforts to grease the economy. Just get the HELL out of the WAY and leave the economy-building to the Democrats. We'll leave the inflation and run away deficits to the Republicans. That's what they specialize in.

Republicans, would you vote for someone that believes in the following?

1. "Socialism is a fraud, a comedy, a phantom, a blackmail."

2. State ownership! It leads only to absurd and monstrous conclusions; state ownership means state monopoly, concentrated in the hands of one party and its adherents, and that state brings only ruin and bankruptcy to all."

3. "I do not intend to defend capitalism or capitalists. They, like everything human, have their defects. I only say their possibilities of usefulness are not ended.

Capitalism has borne the monstrous burden of the war and today still has the strength to shoulder the burdens of peace. ...

It is not simply and solely an accumulation of wealth, it is an elaboration, a selection, a co-ordination of values which is the work of centuries. ...

Many think, and I myself am one of them, that capitalism is scarcely at the beginning of its story."

Do you agree with my Reasons why I won't vote Republican(I vote Libertarian)?

Wars - very libertarian view (I vote that way as well). The only reason for a defense budget should be to defend, not aggress. We shouldn't be in wars for the good of a country's people, only if attacked.

Forced religion - I would take it a step further and say government should not be in schools at all. But you drew the line at exactly what you classify yourself as, a right leaning libertarian.

Federal Reserve should not exist in a libertarian's mind, not the government's place.

Gay marriage/sexual preference (or marriage in general) and abortion should not fall under government control. These are personal choices that do not impose force on others.

Legalization of drugs is very libertarian, again, personal choice not imposing force on anyone.
