If I Wanted To Send A Services Email To The Schools In My Area

When colleges send you emails, are they genuinely interested in you?

or do they send them to EVERYONE. They got my info from my PSAT scores (and from college board) and the emails tell me that they are interested in me. Does everyone get these?

Ive gotten 5 emails in the last 2 days from colleges (i looked them up and they are pretty good schools)

thanks

How do you skip school when they call your parents?

Kiddo, school skippers don't care about the consequences of skipping school... As long as you care about yourself, your future, and what your parents will do/say, forget about skipping school. In our school district, it's impossible for kids to skip school without the parents knowing about it. My teen was sick one day and the school called several times and all the numbers that they had on file. It was an automated service...

Kids who skip school are more likely to drop out, so the schools make sure that the parents know when their child is not in school.

Can I request a Form 137 from DepEd or from my school?

Yes you may. Form 137s usually cost about P100 and take about 1-3 days to process. But that's the case in my high school. It all depends on your school. Ask the administrators if you need to obtain an affidavit of loss or what in order to get a new Form 137.

In the case of my university, Form 137 (a.k.a. transcript) is required to be sent personally by my high school, not me. It's an inter-school process, so maybe you won't need it, but then again, the answer to your question depends on your high school and the college you plan to enter.

Is it appropriate to send flowers to a teacher's school?

Aw, yeah(: My teacher always used to get flowers and I thought it was adorable.

Can a principal read a teacher's email?

Of course they can. That's not to say that the administrators sit around all day reading people's emails - usually there is some sort of program or filter in place that looks for certain "target" words, and the admins are alerted when something suspicious, etc. comes up. (This system will vary from school to school, of course.) At my school, the admins can read every email I send from my school account and they log every website I access. If I ever need to send anything personal, etc. that I don't want them to see, I use my gmail account because they can't read those emails (they can just see that I accessed gmail, not what I wrote).

Privacy isn't really the issue here, it's security and protection for the school, students, parents, and even the teachers.

Can you track the physical location from which an email was sent to you?

There are basically two steps involved in the process of tracking an email: find the IP address in the email header section and then look up the location of the IP address. It’s worth noting that you usually won’t be able to get the exact location of the actual person who sent the email. For example, if someone in Germany sends you an email using Gmail, the last IP address in the header section will probably be the public IP address assigned to that user from the ISP, which will give you the location of the user ranging from within a mile all the way to the city or region level. The reason for the wide range is that the IP address that an ISP assigns to a particular user is normally dynamic. This means that the IP address they had when the email was sent may now be assigned to a different user in the region. This is the main reason why you might get a wide geographic area when looking up the location of the IP address. However, depending on what device people are using to send emails when using Gmail or another online email service, the last IP address might just be the IP address of Google or Yahoo or Hotmail servers, so keep that in mind too.Another scenario where you might not get any useful info is if the email was sent from a server on a hosting company data center. For example, whenever I get an email from Boxee, the originating IP address is from SoftLayer, which is a big server hosting company. That’s because the email was probably created and sent from the server itself.Find the IP Address for an Email in GMail, Yahoo Mail, and OutlookLet’s go ahead and take a look at how you would find the IP address in the email header for Google, Yahoo and Outlook since those are the most popular email clients. If you’re using a different email client, just Google how to view email header info. You can do this using one of these sites:Email Lookup at VerisEmail Search, Reverse Email Lookup, Find IP Address by EmailJust enter the email address in the empty box and follow the steps.Have a nice day
