How old are you and to what age would you like to go back/forward?

Today I am exactly 21 years 4 months old.I don’t want to go back. Never.I cherish the memories that I have made in the past but I don’t want to go back.I crave for what is in the future. By May end this year, I will be done with my graduation. And hopefully, by June or July I will be working for some IT company. There is a whole new life waiting for me to give me more beautiful memories and stunning experiences. Why go back?I am dying to live an independent life. I want to earn for myself. I want to bear my own expenses. I want to buy gifts for my parents and my little sister from my salary. I want to travel the whole effing world with my money. Then when I am done with this whole independent thing, someday I will marry, have kids and make some more memories.I want to move ahead in life, harsh or beautiful, I don’t care!I look forward to get out of this cocoon and fly high.Nuh-uh! No looking back!

If you could be any age, how old would you be? And why?

I have two choices:FIVE years old seems pretty good. when the only thing that frightened me was school. And a school teacher who was actually very kind. Whenever I cried, that got my parents all concerned and anxious. I was as delighted with a toffee or sweet as with a toy. Value was in pleasure, not in any silly desire to do what others thought.I didn't know about money, other than it looked good in the hand. Never had it, and never cared I didn't have it. Had no idea about brands and designer clothes.Summer vacations ACTUALLY meant vacations, and I would trundle off to my grandfather's village.Instant drinks were made by someone else, on demand.I was always out in the vegetable garden eating raw vegetables, turnips and chillies; I didn't know about bacteria and still never fell ill.If my dad bought me an ice cream, I would tell my siblings with pride, and rub it in like massage oil.Other choice. That's twenty. Man, oh man. The sky was the limit. Could do anything, hike, fish, swim, sports, run like the wind.Got into fights, and never thought of the damage. All I thought of was girls. Unfortunately, they didn't think of me. And still it was fun...the chasing and the dreaming.Had all the time in the world to do nothing worthwhile, and yet everything I did has helped me now.Dinner was at 12 midnight, and breakfast at three in the morning. Really. And the appetite never faltered.Sex. Ummmm. All you twenty year olds know what I'm talking about. You lucky %^&*

If you could stay at any age, how old would you be?

I would go with 32 because you are still physically young but mentally have enough experience to know what’s what and how the world works. If I was given the chance go back to being 32 with what I know now and then to remain at that age forever I would jump at it without a second thought.

If you were given a chance to relive your life, at what age would you choose it to be?

The beginning of middle schoolWhen I was an elementary school, I was oblivious to the idea of ‘popularity’ and ‘being cool’ among my peers. I read astronomy and physics books for fun and played chess during lunch, regardless that it portrayed me as ‘a nerd.’ I did what I enjoyed.Fast forward to middle school, and reality changed. Popularity became a bigger deal (probably because kids became meaner towards the ‘nerds’). The pressure to avoid being a nerd was ever present on everyone, and I abandoned my ‘nerdy’ hobbies such as reading, chess, etc, to avoid being judged.Fast forward 10 years and I do essentially every ‘nerdy’ thing I could imagine on a daily basis, and I love it.I wish I could relive middle school and high school to pursue the activities I truly enjoyed and ignore the judgement of others.

If you could be one age forever what would it be and why?

I'm 31 now, and even though it was really fun being 20 something, I know much more now than I did then. I imagine I could only get wiser and better as a person as time goes on, so it's really hard to say. The only thing I can say would be bad about being older is the possibility of being bitter or not as physically fit. But I guess the secret to happiness is never wishing to be anything else than who you are at that moment. On a different note, vampires are one age their entire existence, the age they were turned. It doesnt mean they don't get wiser though, only their bodies stay that age. And then only superficially on the outside. Inside they are dead. But I guess since you said you'd stay being 17 because you were carefree, you don't mean becoming a vampire. So on those terms, I'd say 24. Old enough to drink and party, young enough to look fantastic, smart enough to know some stuff, ignorant enough to think I know much more than I do, confidence for miles and not enough failure to feel insecure. Its like that Miley Cyrus song, that special millenial sauce that makes you feel like you run the world, own the night, etc etc. That's a great feeling.

Can you apply to college at any age?

Generally juniors in HS don't apply to college. Usually seniors in the fall of their senior year apply to attend college the following fall. People who are already HS grads (like people who are 23) can apply for college. The colleges will still have deadlines (like applying in the fall to attend the next fall--there will be different deadlines for spring and summer terms). Yes, the process would be the same. Community colleges usually have a more open admission process. Students have to apply in advance, but usually not a year in advance--more like a month or two.

What age would you like to go back to? Why?

I wouldn’t have to go back very far — maybe five minutes at the most. Why? That’s because my present age of 65 is by far the best time in my life. I’ve never been happier or healthier than I am right now. With 41 years of happy marriage, a long successful career as a Silicon Valley engineer — mostly at Apple, two happily married adult children that I can really be proud of, and five awesome grandchildren who all think that I am the greatest man on earth, how could it be otherwise? Subjectively speaking, it is about a hundred times better than my teenage years or my twenties, which were awful. There is no way in hell I would want to go back to those times.I’ve said something similar many times on this forum. And, it always astonishes me when people find this attitude as something unusual. I assure that for most people my age this is very much the case. All I can say is that you’ll see what I mean when you get there.

What is the legal age in NJ to get tattooed WITH parental consent?

NJ is one of those places with very few tattoo laws. The only thing on the books is as follows:
2C:40-21.
Tattooing and body piercing of minors
A person commits a disorderly persons offense if he knowingly tattoos or engages in body piercing of a minor under the age of 18 years without first having obtained the written permission of the minor's parent or legal guardian or, if neither exists, a person who stands in place of a parent.

Basically this means that with a parent there is no minimum age, and without you need to be no minimum age.
That being said there are many tattoo parlors out there that will still refuse to tattoo you at any age under 18.
Any parlor willing to tattoo you under 16, or without parental consent if you are under 18 are places you need to keep far away from.
Generally before the age of 16 (and some times even after) your body is still growing, and if a tattoo is done then it has a chance of moving, warping, and basically changing into something other than you want.
I also suggest you think before you get inked, as the saying goes. You don't want to get a tattoo and a month, or even a few years later find that you hate it. Tattoo removal is painful, expensive, and will leave a scar. If you can’t keep the idea in your head (or better a picture somewhere you can see everyday) for a minium of 6 months to a year and still love it then there is no point in getting the tattoo. More time won’t hurt anything, once the process is done your stuck with the design for the rest of your life.
All that aside I do indeed know people in their 60s and a few older who are quite proud of their tattoos still. I've had the honor of meeting someone that got her first tattoo at the age of 80. Your final comment makes me wonder if your honestly mature enough to deal with the consequences of your actions as your unwilling to look into the future to how your tattoo will effect you (and it will: from your career, to the way your significant other's mother may look at you, and beyond)
I’m also surprised any parlor was willing to give someone of your age any piercings other than ear piercings as they are even more likely to move, as well as reject as a child’s body matures and grows.

At what age would u let your child walk to school by thereself??

your not being unfair at all, just pick up your local newspaper and show him all the bad things that can sometimes happen to kids left to do their own thing and I'm sure he will agree. harsh maybe but thats the world we live in today trust no-one with your kids they are irreplaceable xx
