If Women Are Equal To Men Why Was It So Easy To Oppress Them For All Of Human History

If women and men are equal, how did men oppress women so much?

The feminist concepts you enunciated are polite fictions maintained by members of the chattering classes who are several generations removed from any real physical work or danger.

1. Men and women are not identical as feminists would have you believe. In fact, if you look at nature, you will see that is is not uncommon for the sexes to specialize, with the female being primarily responsible for care of the offspring. Particularly among mammals, to which we are most closely related.

To assume that this entirely natural state of affairs arose through oppression is absurd on its face.

2. Of course all men did not oppress all women throughout history. Men more typically occupied the role of hunter and protector because men specialized, just like women did. Ergo, the different shape of our bodies and the different propensities and talents of the genders.

Don't get me wrong. I believe in equal opportunity and that women are more than capable of holding their own in the modern world.

But it is insulting and wrong to claim men oppressed women into their previous roles for the most part.

Why were women oppressed over men?

I just dont get it. Why were men the ones able to be educated, work and have freedoms while women had to bear children and stay at home. Where did this start from and what happened that threwout most of history women werent given enough credit for what they did. I've always heard that men outnumbered women as inventors, politicians, revolutionists, philosophers because women were not given an equal chance in the past, but WHY were men superior to women and HOW did society form into what was a patriarchal society .

If women are equal how did they become "oppressed"?

Women who try to say they are equal to men are trying to sell a distorted perception that stems from jealousy. Those who try to say they are oppressed have to take the position of a victim in order to make their bigotry socially acceptable. In reality though, women are neither equal, nor oppressed.

Perfect example of someone trying to sell a distorted perception: "Ive never understood why some people keep confusing equality with sameness."

"Equal" means "the same as." But they try to warp the definition of the word so they can slip in their own definition of "equal." And notice it is different each time.
