If You Are A Felon Can You Qualify .

Can a convicted felon qualify for a habitat for humanity home?

Both people do not need to have full time jobs...but three small kids is one anyway.

The key is that your family will need to provide "sweat equity" and show that they will be able to afford the home. A great many people ask for homes, and the HFH chapter tries to match up the needs with what is available. Go ahead and make the application. There is nothing to lose and everything to win.

Can i get into Canada with Dual-Citizenship if I have a felony?

I was convicted of a felony a year ago and it was brought to my attention that I can not get into canada from the border in New York. Im planning a trip that should be coming up soon to go from New York to my native american reservation in Canada. But since my reservation is in canada i believe i have dual-citizenship. So with that said even though I have a felony shouldnt my dual citizenship override me being denied access to get across the border??

Yes, you can. The criteria for becoming a Pastor does not have the same qualifications as becoming a President, which of course, you cannot apply if you have a felony. Your Pastor can even appoint you in some cases, depending on where you are in your walk. Most of the time, it is the people who have been through these kind of storms that God will use for his Glory...Just consider The Apostle Paul and his conversion and you will understand how God always work it out for his good. God bless you and I wish you well on your journey>:)

Can you practice law with a felony?

Yes, in many states you can. Whether you'll be admitted to law school, allowed to take the bar, and allowed to be licensed are the real questions you should ask after getting a felony. Ironically, getting a felony after being admitted to the bar might be better, in some cases at least, than before because it's so difficult to disbar an attorney permanently. Someone I went to law school with someone who got a felony for passing bad checks 20+ years ago (and has had a clean record since). She has been petitioning our bar for about 3 years since she's passed the bar to let her in and has appealed their final decision.

Can a felon become a German citizen?

My boyfriend and I are studying German and planning to move to Germany within a couple of years.
Theoretically, I know that i can move there alone and have a good chance at founding work and establishing a life, and after 8 years I can apply for citizenship.
My question is, if my boyfriend gets a felony in the US, can he move there with me? If we get married before moving to Germany, will his felony keep me from getting a job or a home?
I also know that a felon cannot apply for naturalization, but if I obtain citizenship, and then marry him later, can he become a citizen then?
Fyi the felony would be for "aggravated assault," for beating up a homeless man who caked him a N***er.
