If You Could Which Foreign Country Would You Go To For Vacation This Weekend

If you had a fully-funded vacation, but could only go to one country, where would you go?

Oh man. This is a tough one.My wife and I are working on our bucket list of trips, and most of them cross multiple countries. All of them are things we can manage within our financial constraints. However, there is one place that I am infinitely curious about that my wife is not quite as enthusiastic. And it is incredibly inaccessible to tourists. So, off the top of my head, Antarctica. Yes, I know it isn’t a country. However, it is recognized as a politically neutral entity by the UN and will never be developed. And it is it’s own continent, so it’s still sort of in line with the one country requirement.I want to spend a full year there. And I want to fly in on the cramped C-130 transport. I would want to shadow some researchers, accompany a trek to the South Pole. Observe some penguins. Do dry suit dives with researchers. Observe some sea lions hunting and eating penguins. Do a winter and experience that degree of solitude and isolation. See the southern lights dance across the snowscape. It’s the most cost-prohibitive vacation I have a desire to go on.Otherwise - I’m going to go on an all-expenses paid lifetime road trip in the USA. Yeah, it’s sort of a loophole, but that’s the fault of the poor boundaries of the question.Another one might be Egypt. That’s one place I want to go, all expenses paid would allow me to do more (and do it now).

I want to go on a vacation to some other country for two weeks, I have a budget of Rs 40 Lakhs. Where should I go?

Dude!! With that much amount of money you can go anywhere in the world and enjoy Luxuriously!!  If I were you I would have headed to Spain to experience some thrilling sports like sky diving  . Else, Take a world trip to see all the wonders of the world. Starting right from Tajmahal. All the Best !!

Would you go on vacation to another country alone?

I would! People are annoying lol. And you don't know if they'd be the best roomie or not. Some people you may think would be fun to go on vacation with might just be the most annoying... I would go alone, but that's me. And besides, there won't be any conflict. Say you wanna go somewhere but they don't? Without someone there you can do whatever you want on your own time with no complications!

If you were on vacation in a foreign country would you look for a Burger King?

I know I’ll probably get flamed for this response, but yes, maybe I would!Sometimes you just need something quick, cheap, simple or a mix of all three. If I’m travelling somewhere with limited opportunity to get something to eat (say in an airport, train station, motorway/interstate…) then maybe a fast food restaurant is the best option. It could also be that I simply want a change from the local food. I don’t eat the same type of cuisine all the time at home, so after a while in a different country I need a “meal off”, so to say. When I was in India, I ate curry for breakfast, lunch and dinner for 7 days in a row, and then ordered a burger for lunch on the 8th (ok, it wasn’t a Burger King, but still I chose not to have the same food again). The same in Italy, I love eating pasta and pizza, and I was in Berlin for a week eating Currywurst, and the like, but then need to have something else for a meal or two if I’m away for a couple of weeks. Maybe not a burger (my first meal in Poland after driving up from Berlin was a chinese noodle dish!), but just something else for variety.Of course I still aim to seek out the local food specialities for the majority of my meals, but I’m not worried about not being 100% exclusive to the local cuisine.Of course, if happened to be on holiday in the USA, then certainly I’d eat a Burger King, just to say I’d eaten one in its home environment!

Can your parents force you to travel to another country?

Situation: I am 16 years old, turning 17 in May. In the month of February my parents had an idea to go travel outside this country (as a family) for a week, they just recently informed me about this and are about to go through all the trouble of getting me a passport, getting me to sign this and that, but they NEVER had the though, "Oh! What if our son does not want to go?" I tried to give them legitimate reasons to why and even thorough explanations to where they might be able to put me when they leave. Of course I have those parents that don't trust others and would never let me out of their sights, this even includes leaving me home by myself for that time. They only trust 1 family member (Aunt/Uncle) and they're going to be out of the country as well (coincidence). Now, I have trust worthy friends and I'm sure they have trust worthy family members, but my parents aren't "smart" enough to understand others, (including myself). They said they didn't want to force me to go, and after giving them almost all the reasons to where I could stay, they denied them and got angry at me. They (My dad) finally came to the decision to FORCE me to go, and of course I have no opinion of this.
Question: So my question to you guys reading this, can parents force you to go outside the country? If no, can you please let me know the reason, if yes, just put yes.
Other: If you want to have a conversation with my about this situation, please contact me ^^

Would you go look for a McDonald in a foreign country while vacationing?

Short answer: Probably not.Longer answer: Maybe if they had something special. McDonald’s and a lot of other fast food franchises in foreign countries have created special menus to adapt to that country’s tastes. China and Japan are two such places that come to mind. While I don’t usually actively seek out fast food when I travel, I might for something unique. If I’m not digging the local food or it’s been a lot of the same food over and over, I’ll gravitate towards a hamburger sometimes. I’m still something of a picky eater. But hey, if you want to wander into a McDonald’s from time to time during your trips abroad, don’t let anyone’s judgment stop you. Just do yourself a favor and don’t let it be the ONLY place you eat during a trip. There’s so much good food out there!

Which is better, visiting 4 countries for one week each, or visiting one for the entire month?

I’ve stayed in Hungary for 2 months. Ecuador for a month. Argentina for a month. Romania for 3 months. Chile for a month. A week in Estonia. 2 weeks in Brazil. 2 weeks in Bolivia. 2 weeks in Peru. A month in Japan. And the answer is. It really depends. I didn’t care much for a month in Buenos Aires and 2 months in Hungary but I couldn’t get enough of Romania! I could have easily spent a year and not get bored. I could probably have done with just a few weeks in Chile and I think a week in Estonia is too much.My suggestion is don’t go with a hard coded itinerary. Have a plan but be flexible. You’ll never really know if you’ll like the place until you get there. This happened to me in Rome, Italy. I was so enamored by the things I’ve read that I originally dedicated 3 weeks there. After 3 days, I was done. I left for the Amalfi coast and never regretted the decision!

Do you get vacation time in the Navy?

You do not get winter or summer break in the Navy like you do in school, you don't get that in many civilian jobs either. You get 30 paid leave days a year. You can use your leave days anyway you wish as long as your leave chit is signed and approved by the command. You do have to have contact information and you can't go to certain countries. The leave does include weekends and holidays. In the Navy you can have weekends and holidays off generally when in port but you will have duty days. During deployment unless you are in port you will work all hours of the day and night.
