Is blocking cars in parking lots illegal?

This happened to me in a HUGE - and mostly empty - car park (shh! outside a secret government site). There were only a few cars so I parked near the gatehouse. On my return I discovered there was a car either side - no problem. A fence in front - and a car behind me. Yes with ten thousand free spaces she (sorry) had blocked me in!I looked around for the owner and asked at the gatehouse but they were nowhere to be seen. I waited for a while, then got out and examined my options. Was there maybe just room to get out? I started to reverse, and as I carefully backed out, checking all around, I heard a scream! As I looked around my foot slipped off the clutch, and I felt a gentle bump. The irate lady came running and we inspected the cars. Mine had only a cracked rear light lens, but her drivers side front wing was caved in. When I asked why she blocked me in she didn’t answer. She moved her car, expecting me to exchange details. Sorry pet its private land. I drove off leaving her screaming. Of course she COULD have got my details from the gatehouse - but as I said (shh! outside a secret government site) they would not divulge that information. ;-)

Is it a legal requirement to have a front license plate on a car in California? What will happen if I don't install it on the front?

So, according to vehicle code section 5200, if you were issued 2 license plates for your vehicle, you are required by law to attach them to your vehicle. Really?I have been wondering about this law. This last weekend, I dined on the west side of Los Angeles and viewed so many vehicles without their front license plates. At first I thought vehicles like, Maseratis , Porsches, BMWs, or high end cars were not issued front license plates or exempt. Wrong. The owners just don’t attach it. Now I’m seeing high end cars, low end cars, and everyone in-between; many cars are missing front license plates.Apparently there aren’t many tickets being written for this violation. It seems like there is no fear; or maybe the ticket violation is not much. I do admit many cars look great without the front license plate, however, the law is the law. Or is it? Maybe law enforcement can shed some light on this phenomena .

Why do large urban areas tend to vote Democratic, while rural areas tend to vote Republican?

My impression is a difference in mindsets. Densely populated urban areas have to function in close quarters as a community.

We are forced to deal with our neighbors on a daily basis. Also, we have a close quarter cultural mix of people that have to regularly interact.

Thus we have more laws and ordinances governing our lives such as "no parking on the grass" "no this" "no that". We have a tendency of not being hunters. We rely on city services to help maintain the community "weekly trash pickup" "public transportation" so forth. We have zoning laws, tinted car window laws, and such. This is due to cramming over 5 million people unto a finite amount of land.

We are more accustomed to interacting with diverse cultures in everyday life. Thus we tend to have a slightly deeper understanding of the motives and behavior of various social groups. This may be why the Dem party is filled with such a variety of people which also tend to live in urban areas.

I would imagine that going to school with a mix of people and seeing them everyday at grocery stores, movie theaters, beaches, and such would remove some of the apprehension that would otherwise normally exist.

I got a ticket in my driveway? please help.?

i am a 25 year old and drive a new dodge chargers srt8 here in southern california, i understand i look young and own a nice new expensive car that a cop would be suspicious. here is what happened. i was 1 block away from my home. i went threw a intersection legally, and noticed a cop in the turning lane, i went threw, front windows down and radio off, i was talking to my pregnant wife. i noticed in my rearview that the cop cut off traffic to turn down the street i went down, he was trapped behind a suv behind me, so as i pulled into my driveway he speed around the suv and hit his lights as my garage door was opening, i turned the car off in my drive way and explained i just moved in this apartment and that is why my drivers license didnt match my home address.( i got my updated drivers license yesterday with correct address)

he ran my insurance and license and everything cleared, he then said roll your windows up and said i am ticketing you for window tint and no front license.
i told him i just purchased the car and it was like that from the dealer.
he handed me the ticket and left. he circled the block 5 times every 20 minutes.

he wrote the address of the ticket as my home address, my question is, can i go to court and fight it, considering i was in my drive way? and he had no reason to stop me besides me looking young in a new car. i cant afford the $200 ticket due to me just moving into the house and recently getting married the week before, i have a kid on the way and i spent alot of money giving my wife the wedding of her dreams.
i am good on money but its a tight budget.

thank you for you help.
i have a clean record and live in southern california
inland empire to be exact.
( if you are a police officer can you please give me some insight on what i need to do to avoid a fine, please i am a student and work full time)
