If Zimmerman Was Screaming For Help Then Why Didn

How could George Zimmerman have been defending himself if Trayvon Martin was walking away?

@ Joe in Texas, you will see more Trayvon Martins now. We are walking through your neighborhoods. To get even? No. To let Joe in Texases know that ALL black people look suspicious to you. That's when if you do start shooting black people in your neighborhood. You'll know it's not us....it's you and your mindset about black people looking suspicious. You, Joe in Texases have to change your mindset about what is suspicious to you.

George Zimmerman Verdict?

What are your thoughts on the Zimmerman verdict and do you agree with the killing of Trayvon Martin being justifiable. Can someone initiate confrontation, plead self-defense in a slaughter, and walk away not guilty. I try to have a neutral mind state of the matter (though I am an African America) I look at facts and evidence because that's all that really matters in the courts, what are your thoughts?

Why do people think George Zimmerman guilty?

I haven't been following the trial super closely but I know the basics of it and that he was found not guilty. The media has been declaring him guilty since I've turned on the TV/media sites, yet I have not heard why.

From what I have gathered he was on neighborhood watch when he saw Martin, ended up following him, Martin then attacked Zimmerman, so Zimmerman shot him. I get why that might spook Martin being followed but I don't see why that gave him the right to attack Zimmerman and throw the first punch, forcing Zimmerman to defend himself?

Like I said I don't know all the details so that could be off, but from that viewpoint I feel Zimmerman didn't commit a crime. What am I missing here, what's the argument that he is guilty? I truly don't think race had anything to do with it (if anything Martin called Zimmerman the cracka).

Did Trayvon Martin really attack George Zimmerman?

So you are saying Martin is a mutant...a psychic? Somehow he had the power to read Zimmerman's mind and know that Zimmerman had a gun and that he suspected him.

Let's reframe the scenario to the context of what he could actually know at the time.

Martin knew he was in a strange neighborhood.
Martin knew that he was doing suspicious things (wandering through yards, looking in windows)
Martin see's an adult drive by, in a gated community, and start watching him suspiciously.

At that point what did Martin know?
All he knows is that he was just caught doing something wrong.
Based on testimony from Martin's GF he also was angry and expressed strong racist sentiment about Zimmerman.

Now what could he have done if he were afraid?
He could have gone home.
He could have called the police
He could have called his Dad.
He could have done any number of things.

But he didn't do any of those things. Why?
Because he wasn't afraid he was angry.
And he did what an angry person does he attacked.

This is supported by all the evidence.
We know that he has bruising on his knuckles consistent with repeatedly punching something.
We see the damage to Zimmerman's face and head.
We have witness testimony stating that Martin was on top punching Zimmerman "MMA style".
Other than the GSW and offensive injuries Martin has no injuries.

When a soldier is wounded, does he cry/shout/scream?

Most soldiers don’t scream after they got hit by a bullet or a piece of shrapnel. After the initial shock of being hit, it takes a few moments before the first signs of pain can be felt. After this has happened, however, many soldiers are fighting not to scream:My platoon leader in Bosnia had gotten several inches of metal shrapnel through his right foot. He had sat on a tank when it had driven over an anti tank mine. I immediately ran to help him and saw the big chunk of metal protruding out of his army boot.He asked us for a morphine injection, but none of us had any. Then, after a minute, we could see how the pain kicked in. This guy was a tough nail, a former French Foreign Legion paratrooper, and he bravely fought what must have been an excruciating and agonizing pain.Tears shot out of his eyes and he started to swear a lot, but he didn’t shout or scream, though. After five minutes, a medic arrived and he finally got his injection. His pain was so intense that they had to give him another shot, just a few minutes after the first one.Soldiers who got hit by bullets usually don’t have that much pain. I got myself hit by a machine gun bullet and the pain was manageable. Of course, when you get hit in your genitals or other sensitive areas, you’ll probably scream your lungs out.I saw soldiers who had sustained life threatening injuries, but none of them uttered more than a few sounds. However, they often complained that they felt very cold and we had to cover them in blankets, although it was summer and the temperatures were very high.Soldiers clench their teeth together after they got wounded, they curse a lot and may shed some tears, but most of them don’t cry. A combat medic is usually nearby and will give them a shot, before the pain becomes too much for them to handle.

How did George Zimmerman get acquitted for the charges of Trayvon Martin's death?

I watched the trial. The whole trial. If you watched it, a better question would be “How did George Zimmerman get charged with Trayvon Martin's death?”The local DA reviewed the evidence and wanted nothing to do with the case. He knew trying Zimmermann was a losing proposition. The governor brought in a special prosecutor for that purpose. The entire trial was televised from end to end to ensure that there was no secret negotiations or hidden deals. No network carried it. No network reported the trial in depth during the actual proceedings despite painting Zimmermann as a cold blooded killer and Martin as a young and innocent child. What happened in the trial?Martin's girlfriend came off as a liar who changed her story to fit whoever she was talking to.The fact that Martin was a LOT bigger than Zimmerman became an issue. The prosecutor's star witness, a resident in the neighborhood wound up being the best possible witness the defense could ask for, basically placing Martin on top of Zimmerman.Ballistic evidence backed this up.So did stains on Zimmerman, the medical evidence, and the photographs. The prosecutor had such a weak case that they did something rather unusual; they attempted to tack on a child abuse charge at the end of the trial, knowing that their murder charge wasn't going to stick. The jury found Zimmerman not guilty, all the hype that the media made about stand-your-ground amounted to nothing. The rest is history.

Did George Zimmerman kill Trayvon Martin, yes or no ?

Yes. He got out of his car, after being instructed not to by 911 operatives. He followed Trayvon around and confronted him. The only 'suspicious activity' Trayvon was guilty of was WWB -walking while black. He was in his own neighbourhood, walking home from the store, carrying candy. He was doing NOTHING wrong.
Zimmerman still decided he was a no-good-thug and called the cops on him, followed him, confronted him, and shot him. Eyewitnesses have conflicting stories as to who was beating on who, but you can't question that Zimmerman's was the first act of aggression, in stalking Martin.
Trayvon Martin is dead, by George Zimmerman's hand. Yes, he murdered him.
