Im Slim But My Belly Sort Of Pops Out .why Is This

Why am I skinny but still have belly fat?

You are skinny fat. When someone is skinny fat, they appear thin when they have clothes on or when you look at them from a distance. However, when you see them with their clothes off and look at their body up close, they actually have more body fat than you thought.See this guy?He looks thin when he has clothes on, right? But look at his body up close when he has no shirt on:This is Margot Robbie with her clothes on. You would think she’s thin, right?Look at her body in bikini:Notice something about both individuals? Both look thin when they have clothes on but when they reveal their bodies and you look at them closely, both people actually have more fat than you thought. If someone is lean (meaning they have low fat percentage), you would be able to see their abs and their bodies wouldn’t jiggle a lot (especially their upper arms, thighs, and bellies). Most skinny fat people are the way they are because they don’t lift heavy weights or do any resistant training. Skinny fat people have low muscle mass. Their fat percentage is high compared to their muscle mass.Skinny fat people also tend to do excessive cardio and eat low calories.Cardio is not going to balance your muscle mass and fat percentage. Lifting does.

Why am I not losing my belly fat even after doing yoga 4 times a week regularly from the past 6 months. I am 5 feet and 53 kgs, I have not lost weight in numbers, but I feel lighter and look a bit thinner. How much more effort and time will it take to lose my belly fat? Please advice

I am not an expert in this, but talking from experience.First of all Spot Reduction is a myth, you cannot lose fats from one place in the Body, you lose it overall, hence your aim should fat reduction overall, instead of only on belly.Following are some tips which can help you:1. Fat Loss/Weight Loss is 70 percent diet and 30 percent work-outs, hence you need to follow a strict diet as well.Pointers on diet included towards the end.2. While yoga is helpful, what matters is the type of Asanas, duration and the consistency you do them with.3. Practise Asanas an hour each day, atleast thrice a week, make sure you include Sun Salutations(Surya Namaskar) minimum of 8-12 rounds based on your capacity and keep increasing them every 2 weeks.4. Divide your one hour in 5 slots, 5 Minutes warm-up, 25 Minutes Asanas, 10 Minutes Surya Namaskar, 15 minutes pranayam, 5 minutes relaxation/cool down.5. Pranayam is often neglected, make sure you never skip it.6. Some Yoga Asanas that work on your tummy, Boat Pose, Inverted Boat Pose, Downward Dog Pose, Cobra Pose, Dhanurasana.6. Your body gets used to a work-out very fast, so try and include other forms of exercises as well, free hand exercises, weight training , Zumba, Cycling, Swimming(whatever works for you)7. You can look at Yoga thrice a week, followed by a choice of other work out twice a week, followed by 1 - 2 days rest.8. 2 Exercises you must do - Crunches, Plank wih hold(start with 30s hold, go up to 2 mins), Side Plank - these are great for your Ab MusclesSome tips on Diet -1. Start your day with fruits, this wakes up your sytem2. Do not eat anything processed and is available packed- Bread, Biscuits, Chips instead eat meals that need to be cooked, think Poha, Oats, Upma, Paratha, Idli for breakfast.3. Include Salads and buttermilk/curd for lunch.4. Eat every 3 hours.5. Dinners should be the lightest meal of the day.6. Sip on green teas/warm water through out the day.7. Eat seasonal fresh fruits.8. Allow yourself one cheat day each week" You can either be thin, or eat anything you want, anytime, choice is yours"Along with Diet and Exercise, include once a fortnight body massages and get your 8 hours of sleep. And lastly enjoy your life, the less stressed you are the healthier you will be.PS - These are my thoughts which I am successfully implementing since the last 8 months which has helped me lose 10 kgs.

Why do mens' stomachs get bigger when they are 30 or 40 and above?

Given a healthy diet and lifestyle men can, amongst other things, get bigger bellies due to a shift in the testosterone/oestrogen balance...men favour fat storing in this region anyway, and this shift magnifies that...This shift occurs as we age...the estimate is around a 1% change per year after around the age of 35.Interestingly, there are also other socially related triggers for a shift in this balance - when a man "settles down"...has a marriage, kids, home responsibility etc...there is a hormonal shiftif a man is around more dominant peopleIf a man is stressed or not sleeping quite enough - even by small amounts. If a man is working out too muchIf a man drinks alcohol - and it doesn't need to be muchIf a man develops fat - this further decreases testosterone...so it becomes a loop...testosterone decreases = more fat...which leads to a further reduction of testosterone...which leads to more fat...and so on...Those are the ones off the top of my head...as an interesting side-note, it was also found that a mans testosterone levels increase when they watch porn.Of course - there could be other factors...it could be genetic...or illness.*** To add - Michael Soso raises a good point and got me thinking about food - it occurred to me that thyroid activity also slows down...this results in a decrease in metabolism and therefore an increase in fat if the same dietary habits are maintained. In addition - when testosterone/oestrogen balance shifts to favour oestrogen this causes water retention...which can contribute massively to an ample belly. And, finally...an electrolyte imbalance can develop as we age which can also cause water retention...***To add - Michael Soso also points out in the comments to this post about Endocrine distrupters - over the years a gradual build up of toxins from our environment/food and such that can shift our hormones...

I'm skinny but I have a beer belly, how do I get rid of it?

You may know that fat targeting: losing fat in a specific area is impossible. A belly indicates you have excess fat and the best way to lose it is to NOT think about LOSING but GAINING muscle. The more muscle you have the easier it is for you to lose fat. If you have access to a gym, focus on heavy compound lifts (squat, deadlift, bench) and don’t concern yourself too much with cardio or ab training. Remember to keep a log to track your progress and eat as clean as possible (elimininate sugary snacks, processed foods etc.) Good luck.

Why doesn't my belly look perfectly flat? I work out, eat healthy, and I was born skinny. Are human belly supposed to stick out a little bit? I don't even have excess fat on my belly.

You’re probably skinny fat. And yes, that’s an actual term. When someone’s skinny fat, they appear thin when they have clothes on or when they are seen from distance. But when they take their clothes off and you look at their body up close, they’re not as lean as you thought they were.I’ll give you an example:This is Lindsay Lohan with her clothes on. She looks thin, right? But look at her body when she’s in bikini. She clearly has fat, but lacks muscles. If she were lean (or have low fat percentage) you would be able to see her abs, but you can’t see her abs at all. That means she has too much fat in her belly. You don’t need to work out in order for your abs to show. Everyone has abs. The reason why you can’t see most people’s abs is they have too much belly fat.If you want to lose fat. You just need to eat less calories than your body needs, but that doesn’t mean you should starve yourself. That is why there’s a phrase “abs are made in the kitchen.”You can be normal weight or underweight and still have a high fat percentage, which is what skinny fat is.I am not saying skinny fat people have as high fat percentage as someone who’s obese. I am saying skinny fat people have high fat percentage if you compare their fat percentage to their muscle mass.Skinny fat is more common among women than in men. The main reason why skinny fat people are the way they are is they don’t lift heavy weights or do resistant training. So maybe the workouts you’re doing aren’t heavy enough. Lifting heavy weights in low reps is more effective than lifting light weights in high reps.Other common reasons why skinny fat people are skinny fat is they tend to starve themselves and focus too much on cardio.Honestly, cardio is really pointless when it comes to balancing your fat percentage and muscle mass. That’s why there are a bunch of chubby people with no muscles who can run or jog for a long period of time but still look chubby.

I'm 20 years now and I'm very thin. How do I become fat? I eat lots of food, but there is no improvement yet. Should I start using proteins? What is a good diet that can make me fat?

For increasing your muscle mass you can do following things..1. Prefer eating rice than wheat.2.Add 2 to 3 egg, 4 to 6 bananas and 300 to 500 ml milk in your breakfast.3. Eat protein rich food like pulses.4. You can also eat smashed white potatoes for calories.5. Eat chicken, meat, fish and if possible red meat.6. If vegetarian, consume dairy products like Paneer. 7. Before going to sleep , eat atleast 2 to 3 bananas and 300ml of milk .8. Drink lots of water.9. Eat at regular intervals say at every 4 to 6 hour which means you should eat 4 to 6 times a day.10. Also consume stuffs like curd, they help in digestion.11. Use some digestive syrup after major meals like lunch and dinner.12. You can also take protein drinks if necessary. But you must consume WHEY Protein only as it has no any side effects. Its perfectly safe. Trust me. I have done a lot of research on it.Also, go for little workout because it will help your body digest more nutrients from the food you consume.

I am skinny everywhere but my stomach. My stomach is big and bulgy, how can I lose weight in that area?

There is one common problem for those who are skinny everywhere but your belly. Here’s why diets and exercise are NOT enough. Fix this hormone and you’ll lose belly fat!A lot of people judge their entire body by their belly, right or wrong.People who have been taking their diets really seriously and working out like crazy often struggle to lose those last few pounds of fat and those last few pounds of fat are usually in their stomach area. Why is it so hard to lose fat in the belly? Well, you can put most of the blame on cortisol. There are several hormones that control fat loss and fat storage, including leptin, ghrelin, estrogen and insulin. But cortisol and estrogen have the most impact on lower body fat storage, with cortisol taking the lead in belly fat storage specifically. You might think that fighting cortisol is all about managing your stress levels but if that were true, you could meditate your way to a lean stomach. Here are a few tips to reduce cortisol and that stubborn belly fat:Cut hour long cardio sessions and five mile runs and do some high intensity interval training <==(like this one) for twenty minutes instead.Get at least 8 hours of sleep. The less sleep you get, the more cortisol your brain releases.Reduce carbs. A high intake of carbs creates insulin spikes and when insulin is present, fat loss stops. Insulin can be a helpful hormone when it comes to building mass, but not when it comes to fat loss.
