Why is my phone receiving messages that were sent to my husband's phone?

Delay in receiving iMessages and text messages on my iPhone?
Recently, whenever I receive an iMessage or text message, the notification appears and it says "1 min ago" or "2 min ago" even when I'm just receiving the alert for the first time. I had an iPhone 4 and it was happening on that but I just assumed it was happening because it was old. Now it's happening with my iPhone 5s too. Is there any way to fix this?
If my iPhone dies will I receive messages as iMessage or text message? Will it still say "delivered"?
If your friend sent a text while your phone was powered down (for whatever reason), it would be sent as a text message, not iMessage. It will not say delivered. Even if it was sent as an iMessage (which it wouldn't), it would still not say delivered because it was never technically delivered to your phone.
Can I receive texts if I turn off iMessage?

So as you know, texts between iPhone to iPhone are iMessage and they are blue. Now my iMessages are sent as texts and they're green... This has been many messages that are green and not blue... And weird thing is its only 1 contact, all my other iMessage contacts are blue, only this 1 is green and it's bugging me. Help?

If I block someone on iMessage can they still see the message I sent them?
I recently tested this and the message does go through but for the sender who has blocked the recipient, there is no delivered status or read receipt, which makes sense because the blocked device is sending that info back to the blocker’s phone and the blocker’s phone can’t pick it up since it’s blocking anything coming from the recipient.
