In Every Situation In Life Does Somebody Have To Be In Charge

You are the mast of every situation?

Went to our local Chinese restaurant yesterday and when I cracked open my fortune cookie it said, "you are the mast of every situation."
It's not that I believe in because my boyfriend got the exact same one, but I still would like to know what it means. So, could you help me out with this one.
I know in sailing the mast is the pole that supports the sail. The sails make it move so...but I can't finish that thought. I just have no clue. Do you?

Do police, under ANY situation, have the right to ban someone from an establishment for life?

Recently the cops were called on me because a few bouncers kicked me out of a bar for "talking to too many girls." Their words, not mine. As I was getting into a friend's car to WAIT for other friends to pay their tabs so we can all leave, four police officers told me to approach their vehicle and then searched me. They then instructed me that I was banned from ever coming back to that place for life, and that it was THEIR orders and not from the owner of the bar. As I was walking away, they told me to pull my pants up. No buttocks or genitals were even remotely exposed. I was even wearing a belt, so they were only hanging down slight. I finally got in the friend's car, who was DRUNK, mind you, to wait for other friends to show up so we I could catch the cab back to another establishment. She started the car and I instantly told her "I'm getting out if you're gonna pull off. You've been drinking." She told me to get out and I was arrested on the spot.

I don't mind the search, since I didn't have anything to hide. No warrants, drugs, nothing. What I am concerned about is this honestly sounds slightly like harassment. Do police officers have the right to

1) Search you if there is a call made (just curious on this one)
2) Ban you out of an establishment for life without consulting the owner of the business one is getting banned from
3) Tell someone HOW to wear their clothing, as long as there is no indecent exposure.

Thanks in advance

What does it mean to trust someone with your life?

It means that he would trust you with his life. Like, if he was put in a situation where someone had to control his life and the things he did, he would trust you with it. He trusts the decisions that you make and whatnot.

How does a Misdemeanor effect someone's career/life?

I'm pretty sure I will have a petty theft misdemeanor charge on my record for a stupid mistake I made. I attend a prestigious university and I never gotten into any trouble besides this possible charge. However, because of this charge, I think people will judge me negatively esp. when it comes done to job opportunities. Has anyone with a misdemeanor charge gain success? How has it rendered your success or life? and is there a possibility to have the charge dropped in the future if it does seem to hinder your career??
Another question, Am I taking this way too seriously?? lol
Thank you.

How can I maintain control in every possible situation?

Control is an unique system of ability to do something skillfully, to handle a situation in our own favour, with our inner strength, capacity, knowledge, behavior, attitude and experience of practical life. In our daily life we have to develop a system which will help us to have our control over our eyes..not to see bad, over our tongues.. not to taste bad n unwanted, over our thought process, over our mind, over our heart, over our emotions, over our sensibility, over our expressions, over our joys, over our sadness, over our family n children, over our earnings n expenditures, over our future n life....and many more.Is it possible to develop a control system inside ourselves...to have control in every unmanageable situation.Still we can try...how?Control your breath, cool yourself down before facing any situation.Prepare yourself for the next day possibilities.Keep yourself healthy.Control your anger.Develop a power which will teach you to tolerate others.Be a staunch god believer.Practise meditation.Believe your self confidence.Manage your time in a proper way.Understand your problems (if any) ,think and work for a solution, execute it.Don't fear failures. Never give up.Read more.Utilise others advices, according to the demand of any situation.Follow the right and honest path but cunningly.Lie a good lie, when its urgent, necessary and in emergency.Feel the hunger, thirst from inside to reach a solution...may be it a family matter or a professional.Nothing is impossible on this earth if you have intelligence, patience and power of money n mind.. But you have to reason out your situation with due attention, then have to plan out a method of control with your ability to organize it into a sensible effect and then carefully execute it, with  confidence n consideration to win.

How can I stay calm in difficult situations?

My ninth grade Health teacher, Debbie Smith, was one helluva gal. An avid pot user and Obama fan, she taught us all about condoms, angel dust, and the perils of cannabis capitalism. One winter afternoon, I’m sitting next to this kid Jack in her class. And Jack had some serious problems. Problems in school, behavioral problems, and oodles of noodles of problems at home. But we won’t go into all that. Then this kid sitting behind us, Ryan, nudges me. “Hey, what’d you get for question seven?”“I think it’s micropenis?” I said. “I’m not sure though.”Ryan clearly wanted a second opinion. “Hey, Jack?”Jack didnt answer. So Ryan tapped him on the shoulder.Jack whirled around, screamed “DON’T FUCKING TOUCH ME RYAN” and slapped Ryan full across the face. You could hear a condom drop. What you need to understand is that in American high schools, “bullying” is considered a huge deal. Like, me taking someone’s hat off their head would mean a good three weeks of detention. Hitting people-touching people at all-is a big No-No. And it looked like Jack was going to be in a huge, huge, HUGE amount of trouble, judging by the red handprint across Ryan’s face that refused to disapear. We all watched Ms. Smith, absolutely certain that she was going to scream, cry, or give Jack a good punch in the nose. And if it had been any other teacher, they would have probably sent him to the principal’s office, suspended him, filed an HIB report, and had a meeting with his social worker, who’s kind of a godawful bitch.Instead, she took a sip of her iced coffee and surveyed us.“Don’t hit people, Jack,” Ms. Smith said.“Okay,” Jack said. Some prick in the front looked disappointed. “That’s it? That’s IT?”“If there’s one thing I’ve learned in ten years of teaching,” Ms. Smith said. “It’s that not everything has to be a big deal. It’s only a calamity if you make it a calamity.”Debbie Smith the Wise.
