In Real Life Which Kind Of Person Prefer To Be Good Friends

Do cyber friends (online friends) count as real friends?

YES! they do!

I have made true friends online..

Do you prefer your ‘real life’ friends or internet friends?

Emma,I believe that I prefer real-life friends, it is just that there isn’t time for those many deep relationships in real-life. I used to deal Texas Hold-Em - made lots of friends that way. But they weren’t. Acquaintances, they were.It has been said to me that a person is lucky if they have five good friends.Rare is the online person with less than fifty ‘friends’. To be fair, my Dad had friends everywhere… but they were just people who knew him and liked him - not real friends, according to him. Some of my online friends are better ‘friends’ than some of my real-life friends… and some of my family, though. I suspect that I am not alone in that respect.I guess that in summary ~ friendship is rare, take it where you find it.Blessings, Cliff

What kind of a person is Leonardo DiCaprio in real life?

Leonardo Dicaprio invested in Mobli, when I was an executive there. I had the opportunity to have lunch with him, be at a party that he attended (that we organized at SXSW), and hang out at his house for a meeting (though he wasn't there at the time). He was extremely nice and down to earth. He introduced himself to me as Leo, as if I didn't know who he was. He made smart observations about our product, how it could be better and was very willing to help get it in front of the right people. All in all, if I didn't know who he was I could have easily mistaken him for a regular (very handsome) guy/investor. Nice guy that I really admire.

In your opinion, are online friends real friends?

A recent comment by a friend got me thinking about this. Detecting whether people are genuine is difficult enough in real life. It can be much harder online, since it is much easier to disguise one's identity. And yet, I believe many AV'ers have gotten to know each other in "real" life; exchanging phone numbers, and so on. I personally know people who have met in chat rooms, become pen pals, and become "real life" friends. And one couple I know met online, got married, and have a child. From my own experience, and extrapolating from the experience of others, I believe that it is possible to make "real" friends online, but that it takes a slightly different set of skills, and perhaps more caution.

But I'm curious to hear about your experiences. What do you think? How real are online friends? What does your experience tell you? In what ways are online friends different than "real life" friends? Looking forward to the discussion.

Friend only chats online and ignores me in real life?!?

So i have this friend, we've been classmates for 2 years and I only started chatting with him online recently. I think we have alot in common and I think we'll make great friends but he doesnt talk to me in real life? When i approach him, he would just give me monosyllable answers and I can tell he's not interested in talking. however, when he's online we chat very openly. What do I do? This may sound desperate but i'm frank to say that i don't have a 'best friend' but just many ordinary friend.

Do internet friends count as real friends?

Dear everyone saying you can't know someone if you've never met them in real life; People can be fake and deceitful in real life too. Dear people who think that never meeting in person = never seeing their face; Look up Skype, seriously, it's the most commonly used chat program. It has real time video chat. A LOT of people use it. Dear person laughing at OP because they want to make friends online; Congratulations on mocking a stranger over the internet who has a different lifestyle than you!

I grew up living on a farm outside of a small town. I had a number of real life friends but I didn't always get to see them on a regular basis. I also had friends online. I've found out people I thought I knew online were totally different than what I was led to believe and the same thing has happened to me in real life. I have made lasting friendships in real life AND online. Most of my childhood friends have moved on with life. One of the last ones I still kept in contact with just got deployed, I won't be seeing him for at least two years. One of my childhood friends is a person I met in an online game nearly 10 years ago. He popped up on Skype last week to get some advice about his troubled relationship. I know and care for both people equally.

People are people, there are good and bad people out there in every walk of life and on every part of the globe. The people on the internet aren't some different breed, they're human just like the people you meet in real life. I will admit it is easier to live a false life online than it is in real life but if you believe everyone you meet in real life is who they say they are or that you can read someones face well enough to always know their true self and real intent you are living a lie and you're eventually going to get hurt by it.

Dear OP, yes you can make real friends online, just be careful, like in real life not everyone online is a great person but, just like in real life, there are plenty of good ones out there.

Will any girl date a guy like Joey from Friends in real life?

Joey was kind, caring and understanding for Monica,  Rachel and Phoebe. He was so protective about them that he would even beat up a guy who hurts them. Oh wait, he would even beat up guys who bother Ross and Chandler. Joey is the kind of friend that every girl needs. If the girl is any of the above for him, he would take them seriously but otherwise he was a playboy and we all know that well.Phoebe doesn't set him up with her friends because he sleeps with them and never calls them back or doesn't like them at all which is acceptable as they steal food from his plate. Rachel doesn't allow him to flirt with her sister as she knows about Joey's tendency. If I were to be at Monica's, Rachel's and Phoebe's place I would definitely date him because he won't be fooling around. If I'm a random stranger to him he would care less so dating a guy like Joey isn't advisable for a girl who's looking for serious & meaningful relationship.
