How old should a child be to read "Halo" video game books?
I have read Halo: The Flood and I gave up on Halo: Ghosts of Onyx and I found that there is no foul language in either, I mean there are words like crap, damn etc. But really I don't see any problem with letting a nine year old read them apart from he might not be able to comprehend the essence of the story as the language is complex.

The guy shows up in a 90' Van. He cruises 100 MPH to impress you, then gets a ticket. Then, he blasts heavy metal rock that nearly shatters the windows of the car. He is trying to impress you. He then takes you to Gamestop. He tells you all the great things about Halo 3. Hespends 20 min debating with the guy at the counter whether Gears of War or Half-Life is the better game. To make up for it he buys you The Simpson RoadRage video game. Then, he takes you to the park. Then, he goes swimming in the lake with the fish! He catches one in his mouth. He then kisses you. After that, you go to the comic book store. You spend an hour in there as he tells you about the Marvel Civil War going on in the comic world, and he buys you a Iron Man comic. After that he takes you to Chilis. He says "get whatever you want honey!" After $30 worth of food, he says "well, I'd better go, thanks for paying the tip". He didn't even offer to pay. You have to pay. Would that be the best date ever?
