Inbox E-mails Are Being Altered So They Make Little Or No Sense

Deleted emails reappear in my inbox?

For about the last month or so, I've noticed that when I delete an email, or a group of emails from my inbox they will reappear in my inbox, sometimes almost immediately and other times after several minutes.

I am not using Yahoo basic.

I do go to my yahoo inbox via several browsers, mostly firefox (v21.0), chrome (Version 27.0.1453.110 m) and IE (8.0 at work, later version at home). I noticed this issue happens across all of these browsers.

What is "Inbox by Gmail"?

Overall, it's ok. Functional, good looking, but it doesn't meet my expectation actually... Following is not a systematic review, just some points I got from using it for the first time.---Email subject is not a required field, and "send" & "attachment" are too close. I sent one email by mistake, coz everything happened too fast...---Inbox and "pin" function share a similar icon, which I don't like very much, coz it makes me confused.---"Bundle" feature works fine, I had a look at every category, and found Inbox just recognized the topics and organized correctly.---However, it's not so accurate when I open "Social" and "Low priority". In social, the emails actually are my "work" emails (I use fb to connect with teammates of my course projects, so I guess Inbox categorizes your emails only according to source of them). And in low priority, are my recent conversations. I doubt if I receive them on Gmail with my laptop, they'll be marked important automatically...---Basically, Inbox gives you a to-do list (which you can't set date/time) and the items are shown together with your pinned emails. Maybe when someone is really addicted to Inbox, and opens it so frequently, he'll use this "Reminder" to remind him. I'll be happy to use it, only when I can select part of the email content, and send it directly to "Reminder".---I'm expecting the nice effect of material design, but this "+" icon is just an ordinary one. Material design is sophisticated and beautiful, but I'm afraid it's making design more difficult, even for professional designers, and it's not easy to prevent the wrong use of material design.More importantly, it shows the recent contact (which is nice), but I always send emails to a team of people... It doesn't make much sense when I want to send an email to A, B and C, but the app suggests me to choose one recipient from A, B and C.---I like the profile picture <-> checkbox idea.---I'm still using Mailbox, even though I have to add labels in Gmail again coz it doesn't support that.I'll keep an eye on the update of Inbox :)

Why are my inbox emails auto deleting themselves?

Several times in the past two weeks, all unopened emails in my inbox have deleted themselves all by themselves. I've restored them from trash, and then it happens again, a few times immediately and a few times a couple days later.

Can't Edit Contacts Lists in new Yahoo Mail as there are no boxes. How do you do this?

Sorry, but I can't change browsers as this is a company PC. I have NEVER had this problem before. I suspect that the reason I had to switch back to "basic" mail was the browser wasn't allowing me to see the check boxes on the inbox. But, no matter whether I use the basic or full featured e-mail in Yahoo - I can't see the boxes next to the names in the contact list.

I suppose that since I'm stuck with this Internet Explorer browser that I may just have to get rid of Yahoo Mail. I hate that since I have literally 15 years of history here. This version is just terrible ... essentially unusable.

After I delete emails in Gmail, my total number of messages does not change or changes by very little. How can I reduce the number of emails by deleting?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Pardon me, but this question makes no sense. I don’t get it.I can only assume you are using an email client of some sort. Outlook, Thunderbird, Incredimail, Apple mail…If you delete emails in the Gmail web interface (which is how Gmail was designed to be used), then they go away. Instantly. If you then empty the trash, or wait 30 days - those deleted emails are gone forever.

How many unread emails do you currently have and why haven't you read them?

Among the emails I have any intention of ever reading: zero.At the moment I also have zero emails in my inbox that are read, but that I still need to respond to or otherwise do something about. That’s not the norm though, usually there’s something between 3 and a dozen messages in the inbox that I still have to deal with in some way.I have thousands of emails from Quora that are auto-filtered into a separate mailbox that I have no intention of ever reading, I have those because Quoras search sucks, and because there’s no mechanism on Quora for exporting any of my content. This way I can easily search all the comments and messages I get on Quora, and I get to keep them even if for some reason I decide to no longer use Quora.I haven’t read those because that’s not the point of having them. Instead the point is to be able to answer questions like: “What was the first time commented on one of my answers?” or “When did I first talk to Clare about dinosaurs?”, Gmail built-in search makes such questions easy to find answers to, while the same cannot be said for the search here at Quora.
