What store and where can I find mosquito repellent in South Korea?

Ok, you can go to any mart, or supermarket.
There are a few options, you have the plug in option which lasts upto a month (some say longer... but its a LIE! haha), or you can get a silver mat which is also plugged in, you will need to buy refills also, but generally if you buy the mat you get a free set of refills with it.
You can also get the coils, which are slow burning similar to incense.
Lastly there is the good old spray!
엪킬라 F Killer is one company, I use their brand. I use the plug in and silver mat together.
Usually you will find the products near the cleaning product aisles of small marts.
Citronella candles are also good repellents for mosquitoes, they are probably the safest too (health wise).

You will be able to find them pretty much at any small convenience store.
Moggy Hyang is the name for the coils, if you are after the cheapest option.

Help! My dog at part of a citronella candle!?

Make sure he drinks plenty of water and if he starts acting any differently, I would recommend a vet. I wouldnt be so concerned about the citronella (for they use that to get a dog to stop barking as a training technique) as much as I'd be worried about the wax and its capacity to be digested. Just keep an eye on him. :)

Do citronella candles repel mosquitos? If so, what's the best type?

I have been selling quality candles for over 7 years now, and Was first introduced to the medicinal & therapuetic benefits of 1oo% Natural wax when it became apparent that burning certain scents helped my disabled Daughter in many ways...One of them being Citronella as well as a blended scent of Geranium + http://Citronella. My Daughter is allergic to Mozzies ( amongst other things ), & we rely on them daily..Natural Citronella has a beautiful scent, which our ozzie mozzie thinks it stinks..All we do is place 2 or 3 unsuspecting Tealights along the bottom of the window frame...Another couple placed on her dressing table, amongst the toys, anywhere really. I like to have her bed area covered while she sleeps, so i bring out the big guns and use a jar candle as well as 3 or 4 tealights placed under her bed from head to toe..The best part about these citronella candles, is that they work even without having to light them...There are a number of scents that get used in our house to help us on a day to day basis, & we have even made our own migraine blend that is working for lot's of different people & situations... You cant go past, Quality wax, when you know how well they work.

Is there a scent that repels mosquitoes?

I don't mean bug spray or candles. I mean more like a summer perfume. Any scents that any other biting insects don't like?
Also, anything you can do to repel bugs besides bug spray?

How dangerous is it to burn Citronella candles indoors?

How dangerous is it to burn Citronella candles indoors?Candles are a major source of home fires. Use caution.Myth: Citronella candles repel mosquitoes.Facts: Citronella candles burn in many backyards on summer nights because of the belief that they repel mosquitoes like cinnamon repels ants. But while the oil of citronella does repel mosquitoes to some degree, “in the amount and concentration that is put out via candles, it’s not very effective,” says Joseph Conlon, a technical adviser for the American Mosquito Control Association. “As a matter of fact, it’s really not significantly more effective than any other candle would be.”Experts agree that the most effective repellent is still DEET, available in lotions and sprays for skin application. Another effective, topically applied repellent ingredient is picaridin, which is odorless and almost as effective as DEET, though it doesn’t work on all types of mosquitoes. Other options include repellent-imbued clothing, topically applied oil of lemon eucalyptus, insecticide foggers and butane-powered devices. But Conlon prefers a simpler solution: fans. Mosquitoes are weak fliers and have trouble navigating a moderate breeze, he says. “Plus, the breeze will tend to dissipate all of the body odors and the carbon dioxide that people give off that attract mosquitoes, so the mosquitoes have much more of a difficult time trying to find their hosts,” Conlon says. “It’s low-tech, but very effective.”
