How much will it cost to install footwell lighting?

Just wire them to the little buttons in the door jamb that actuate the dome light. They're right there where you need them. If it's more than you can handle at a shop you're looking at $40-60 an hour at an auto electric place but it shouldn't take more than an hour. They may charge you for two though.....

How to Install LED lights in footwell of a car?

Hello Everyone,

I would like to know how to install some blue Strip LED lights that i've recently acquired.

Objective:
My objective is to install them with the doors/dome lights so they can light up and turn off by themselves. NO SWITCH! but automatically!

Attempts:
---My car is a 2004 Cavalier and i tried to wire them with some wires what come out from the door.
There were FOUR cables 2 positives and 2 Negatives. I tested them but the charge was TOO weak to light up the lights.

--- I also tried to conect them with the cables that were wired to the dome light.
Pink (positive) cable and White (Negative). They were running down the dash board but once the lights were connected they would stay on and wouldnt fade out by thmeselves.

BUT: i wired them direcly on top with the dome lights (not under the dashboard this time) and they would actually follow the dome light pattern (they would fade out by themselves) but i dont want wire comming out form the celing...

Any ideas of how to achieve my objective!?

Thanks!

I just installed some LED headlights on my 2015 GMC Sierra. After either a few seconds to a few minutes they shut off. Why is this happening?

Mine do the same thing. I have them in both a Late model Mustang GT, and an older Dodge Dakota. If you’re using the aftermarket bulb replacement type LED unit like I have, I suspect its a combination of post ignition voltage leaks as well as the active cooling fans in the assemblies that are cooling the “driver” circuitry.I can hear the fans in mine for a few minutes after the car is turned off. And I also suspect that they like 14.4 volts (standard alternator charging voltage) and that 12 or less (standard battery voltage) isn’t enough to drive them. The ones in my Dakota go completely spastic for a few minutes after I shut the engine off, blinking, groaning, etc. Then when the fans shut off, the remainder of the LEDs shut off.

Is it legal to have LED strips inside your car in Illinois?

I made some Blue LED strips for my car and i was wondering if it is legal to have them on while driving. They are down by your feet under the dash and some under the seats that glow to the back of the car. Legal? PS... making homemade ones are soo much better because you can personalise them and they are less than 1/4 of the price as ones off the internet

How to install footwell lights on a ford falcon BA 2003?

I want to install LED projector headlights on my '14 Civic LX. Would this be a good upgrade for my car and where should I buy? (added safety, style)

Ww have installed quite a few of our headlight bulbs on civics. Heres basic rundown I advise over phone or at our shop. Most 35w led headlights are only putting out 19w when tested. Ours are true 35w with authentic philips chips, they are more expensive but pure white light and proper beam pattern. They work excellent on your factory DOT approved headlights. Save money from buying cheap projector headlights most aftermarket are poor quality without dot stamp and then add cheaper led bulbs and you probably wont be impressed with quality of either. Several customers of mine have already gone done this road with several vehicles.Any questions message or call. Here is a picture of 2008 ford escape with h13 bulbs we sell.

Can I install a 100W LED bulb in a car?

I am going to assume that you are referring to 100/130W equivalent bulbs, not that they draw that much current. As long as the current draw is less than the stock bulbs you should be fine.Years ago I updated the 55W bulbs on my 525i to 80W bulbs and the additional current draw was enough to melt the wiring at the bulb. Those bulbs were actually drawing 80W, hence the melting. But LEDs generally consume less power for the same light output, so replacing conventional bulbs shouldn't require any changes to the wiring.
