Interview Questions At Photography Studio Help

What should I wear to an interview at a photography studio?

This place specializes in children's portraits and family photography sessions. In the application they asked that you share something weird about yourself. They also allow employees to wear jeans I noticed. I'm a 19 year old girl, what do you think is appropriate?

What to wear to an interview for a Photographer Position?

I am fine if they have a "certain" way they want things done. I am just getting my foot in the door got to start somewhere and I am not even sure if I will enjoy doing this day in and day out if I have to. I am the type of person who can love doing something all the time but if I HAVE to everyday then I don't always deal well with that.Like I absolutely love doing other peoples hair and make up but I dread doing mine every morning lol. I am just going to go and see what it is like so I can just get started somewhere. Never know if you don't try.

What do I wear to my work experience? (Photography Studio)?

no jeans, no tennis shoes

slacks, and a polo or button up shirt. Belt!

cant ever go wrong with black.

jacket, tie not necessary

What is the best question to ask when interviewing a creative? (designer, architect, illustrator, photographer, etc.)

My team interviews creative artists with some frequency. While we try to modify each interview to current issues and events within their certain industry, each one still has a few overlapping questions: How is your personality reflected in your work? Can you tell us about where we are right now? (if you're meeting in their studio)Are there particular interior spaces or designers that have influenced you? What do you think are some of the most inspiring things happening in …. currently? How do you overcome creative blocks? We just posted our latest interview online: Free Public Domain Images. An Interview. There are a few more on our blog.

How was your NID studio test and interview experience? What all was asked?

I had applied for information design and my entire experience was really good. In the studio test i got these questions:To make a poster that gave information about the step by step voting process involved in an election. All the steps, that a voter has to take was given in the question. The information and the steps has to be displayed in such a manner that even a person with minimal reading skills can understand it. After analyzing each step, i just drew each given steps like a story board and used very less texts.Story boarding: In the question there were given a bunch of words like dog, boy, old man, bus, ball and more. We were supposed to choose any five of them and create a story, representing it visually by drawing the scenarios. Coming up with a story that may impress the examiner was a challenge for me in this question. Finally, it was asked to draw all the steps involved in making chapati or roti. Again, i just put each steps of roti making in the drawing sheets.I realized that the studio test wants to see how differently or uniquely i can put any given information. They wanted to test how i use my design sketching skills to provide information in a creative way.Check out designerrs.com to learn more about Design sketching. My overall experience in the studio test was excellent. I was not nervous at all and the environment inside the examination hall like sitting arrangements, water facility, the tables ..etc made me more comfortable.Interview Round: It was an exciting moment for me. Before entering to the Interview room, i had lot of negative thoughts that were striking my mind like..was my portfolio up to the marks, what if they ask me questions that i am not aware of , are the interviewer strict …..but as soon as i enter the interview room, there were three people sitting and they made me very comfortable. They started talking very casually. They asked me about my family and home town. Then they ask questions like, why i choose information design….when i realize that i want to become a designer…..they all looked at my portfolio but didn’t ask me anything from it, which was surprising…finally they ask if i have any question for them…so the interview round was very casual for me and the interviewer were very friendly. I hope my experience will help you in your NID exam. For further info regarding NID Checkout Designerrs Lab that helps NID aspirants. All the best!!

How do I prepare for the NID second phase (Studio Test, Portfolio review, and personal Interview)?

Hi,First, lets try to understand the purpose of SECOND PHASE.STUDIO TEST:This phase is designed to evaluate the candidate IN PERSON under xyz conditions so 2 things are important :1) Level of creativity in impromptu situation,2) Quality of execution and understanding of problem.basically, your SKILLS, CREATIVITY, UNDERSTANDING and SENSITIVITY are tested against time. like: make a 1:3 scale model of a driver's helmet using clay in 20 mins time or a product or a poster or a story, it can be anything in X time limit. so practice similar kind of assignments at home, with a time limit of 10-20 mins. work on SPEED + CREATIVITY + QUALITY. ask your friends and family to judge your work.PORTFOLIO:its not something you should build in last 2 days so, Daily spend some time sketching new ideas, concepts, solution to some design problem which you think is a big thing in your life. try to show your personality through your work, whatever makes you think more creatively, work on those things first. for example, you like to make furniture using waste PET water bottles or old newspaper or make make music using scrap stuff, basically ANYTHING that energise you to be more creative, DO THAT, GIVE GOOD TIME and then COMPILE 5-7 BEST IDEAS as you portfolio.INTERVIEW:dont think much, just relax and be honest, dont try to impress them, be attentive to the questions they ask and always answer with a positive/happy mindset. if you have that talent, they will surely find it but if they dont then dont feel bad, just AIM FOR SOMETHING BIGGER :)EDIT:- incase you want to understand more about how to make a portfolio?Portfolio is basically a representation of your skills, experience and thought process, put your best work which you think can impress the jury with your unique style and creativity.Plz check my Youtube channel for a step by step preparation and other discussion, i would love to help you get success.CEED/NID/NIFT Preparation online 2018 - YouTubeBehancePortfolios - Carbonmadeand plz check other videos from these youtubers as they share high quality content and advice. All the best!
