Is paper cup business profitable?

If you do not have any prior experiance or knowledge of disposable trading then don't even try to put your nose in it if you come from a competitive area where there's already a supply available.Even if you do a lot of calculations and prepare yourself that you'll run to get orders and do this and do that, you won't be able to survive in an already existing market. However, if you're coming from a small town where labour and rent is less, plus there isn't any competition within 100km (read again 100km atleast) then you can try to dig in. Have at least 3 times of capital than your first purchase of raw material; it's a credit business so no-one will entertain your cashandcarry approach! Don't take loan, if you've grey then invest that thing only and be ready to go in black vitamin M, as it's a very poor business. My suggestion is to stay away from disposable manufacturing business if you have no prior experiance!

Does working in family business count as work experience for the CAT?

A Work Experience is a work experience is a work experience. :POn a serious note, yes it does if you are able to justify it well. And also be sure that you're making a significant contribution in your family business and taking up good enough responsibilities to talk about them later during your interviews. And if your business / company is a registered one, you can show your salary slips for the same and also, your proper designation in your business with all your responsibilities on a proper letter head. This might give you an advantage over others as it brings in diversity and also, shows your first hand experience with handling business.
