Iphone Battery Charging And Dropping Times

My iPhone 6 has been charging weirdly. It drops the battery even while plugged in and sometimes takes a while to charge. Why is this?

Thanks for your A2A.Why has your iPhone 6 battery been charging weirdly, losing its charge even when plugged in and taking too long to charge? It could be a combination of things. Anything from applications that are power hogs to a bad cable or bad charger, or even the USB source you are using for power isn’t providing enough to increase the charge.First thing to try: Plug it into a wall outlet instead of a computer. Make sure you are using an Apple certified charger and charging cable. If you aren’t using the ones that came with your iPhone, go to an Apple Store or anywhere Apple accessories are sold (Best Buy, Target, etc.) and buy a GENUINE Apple branded charger and/or cable. Another obvious thing to try is to completely shut the phone down for charging. If you do this and it still takes a long time to charge, it is either the cable, the charger (or the device into which you are plugging it for charging), or the iPhone itself.Next, restart your phone.Third, go to Settings -> Battery and scroll down to the Battery Usage section. Tap the Last 7 Days tab. What apps are using the most battery power? If anything has been using more than 25% of the battery consider turning off the background app refresh for that app in Settings -> General -> Background App Refresh. If neither of these things make a difference search the App Store for “Battery” and install one of the higher rated battery management apps. Finally, if all else fails, take your iPhone to an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Retail Center. They have diagnostic tools that can figure out if you have a bad battery.

Does using phone while charging bad for the battery?

I do it all the time, I will be using my phone, have it get down to like 12%, and then I'd start using it while it's on the charger. It charges up real fast and even to 100% just fine, and the battery has been draining slowly for years. Yes, I said years. It should be fine.

My iphone 6 battery is suddenly dropping from around 45% to 25%. Is it a software issue (ios 9.2.1) or is my battery dying?

You are not alone. I had the exact same problem with the iphone 6, starting about September 2017. Dramatic drops in power from 100% to 60% to 10% for no apparent reason. Went to the apple store and they now have a diagnostic they can run that confirms that the battery is officially "Consumed".Those are nice words that really mean: Apple Engineers specified a battery in the iPhone6 that doesn't last longer than 3 years and its up to the consumer who paid nearly $800 for the largest memory version of the phone to decide whether to pay $80 at the Apple store to have the battery replaced, take a risk with a 3rd party to replace the battery, or spend another $800-$1000 on a replacement phone. On top of that, they make you wait a couple hours at the store and don't even employ the technology to text you when its ready. The good news is that for the thousands of people having this problem -- its normal and expected and you don't have to waste time reinstalling the OS and all those time wasting activities. Its simply a fact that the Iphone 6 battery is not designed to last long and Apple fully knows this as their diagnostic tools now confirm it.

I dropped my iPhone in water and it is making sizzling noises. What do i do?

First you should had never turned it on, but don't worry it may not still be broken because Apple products are pretty sturdy and durable even with water, you should first turn off the phone and find a way to get dry the water out. Hair dryer it works but be careful because your phone might get damaged because of the heat. when using this do not directly put the heat in the phone but move the dryer left and right like the movement of a fan. Silica packs, these are the do not open, its poisonous in some products we but, but the more practical solution is to place the phone in a bag full of rice. both the rice and silica packs absorbs moisture.

Recently my smartphone battery has been charging too fast and also draining fast. What might be the reason for this?

Yeah, im having the same issue with my lg V20, but that only happens when i use a QC2.0 or QC 3.0 charger. Like, the phone would go from 20 to 100% in 30 minutes, and when disconnected, would drop to 85% in 5 minutes. but when i switch the phone off and then charge, it charges just fine and also doesnt drain abnormally, like that i can cover a whole day on a single charge. But switching phone off is a tough thing, so i used a standard motorolla charger and the phone charged absolutely fine with that, took 2 hours though because of no fast charging, but yeah, it charged and also the battery didnt drain.I still don’t know the reason behind this absurd behavior.

My iPhone 6 drops the battery even while plugged in and sometimes takes a while to charge. Any ideas why?

As your probably know batteries degrade over time and if you have never replaced the battery in your iPhone 6 it is likely that your battery has degraded to the point that it does not hold a charge properly. A new battery can be installed on an iPhone 6 by an experienced technician in as little a 15 - 30 minutes and although there are many sellers of aftermarket batteries on eBay and Amazon for very inexpensive that you could buy I would recommend that if possible you should take your iPhone to your local Apple store (make an appointment online first and save yourself some time once you get to the Apple Store) and have the Genius Bar check you iPhone free of charge to determine whether or not the battery is in fact the cause of your phone issues and if so they can replace your battery with a genuine Apple battery for I think around $79 but don’t hold me to that price. If there is not an Apple Store near you my second option would be to find a phone repair store near you and have them check your phone’s battery and they should be able to replace the battery for you as well it just will not be a genuine Apple battery but based on my experience I have had good luck with aftermarket iPhone batteries since I do the replacements myself but your always going to get a better battery using a genuine Apple battery if available.

I have a 12V 24 amp hour battery. How many iPhones can I charge if an iPhone battery is 3.7V, 1.15 amp hour?

I really wouldn't do this. Batteries such as the one in the iphone need special circuitry to charge them, as you have to avoid overcharging. Battery chargers are designed for each type and size of battery. The charger typically charges the battery for a brief period with a high current, then stops and checks voltage, temperature against an internal table before deciding to stop or continue the charge.

If you can get the proper IC with the correct settings for the iphone, yes, you can build a charger to do this, otherwise you run the risk of damaging the iphone and it's battery.

How much should my iPhone battery drop with 3 hours of normal usage?

Greetings,First of all you did not mention about which model you are using.Second, You cannot accurately find the battery drop in a given specified time. There are lot of factors involved.Battery Health.A new phone with a new battery will last longer. Batteries gets juiced out with succesive charging and discharging. This is the case for all batteries. When I bought my iphone 6 plus, i noticed a drop of less than 3 to 5 percent in the first few weeks. After that the drop became significantly faster. My style of phone usage is very similiar everyday. Just couple of calls, browsing and youtube. Thats it.Apps usageI guess there is no need for any explanation on thisMore apps running= More CPU usage= more power consumption= less battery backupApps running in the background. The same reason for 2Cellular, WIFI, Bluetooth, GPS Activities. The same reason for 2.When I look into my iphone, my battery drops like around 10 to 15 percent in 3 to 4 hoursIn your iphone, you canTurn off background activity of apps that are unnecessary.Use battery saver if needed.Do not charge intermittentlyAlways charge when the battery reaches around 10–15 percent.Always charge the battery to full.Adjust Screen Brightness. The stuffs said above are very basic things, that an ios user should know. Please google for more infoRegards.

What is the best way to charge a li-ion battery?

I am wondering if it is better to charge a lithium ion battery for cell phones, e-cigs, and stuff like that directly from the wall, surge protector, or an extension cord. I want to maximize my battery life with my devices and be sure I am charging them appropriately. Thank you in advance...
