Do twitter and tumblr apps on the iPhone still use the internet even if the app isn't opened up?
If the app isn't opened up, it's not running at all. It can't use the Internet. The iPhone isn't capable of that level of multi-tasking. It's that shortfall that keeps it out of a lot of business people's pockets. Second, if you have an iPhone, especially on AT&T, you have a data plan. You're charged the same regardless. If you delete the app, downloading it will cost the same amount as it cost to download it the first time. This is an Apple Store issue, not an AT&T issue.

Alright so, this is my first time having an iPhone and my parents ordered me an iPhone 4s 32 GB and its coming in like a week. I'm pretty confused so like, can you access the internet wherever your at? I know you can use the internet in places with WiFi. Will it affect my bill, or minutes or anything like that?
