Is 10 Percent Of Your Grade A Lot

Is 10 percent of your grade worth a lot?

Yes. Not going either of the times will drop your grade by one grade point: from an A- to a B-, for example, or from a C+ to a D+. Going only once will drop you 1 or 2 steps, depending where in the range of a grade you are: if you have an A- with a 90% you'll go past a B+ to a B with an 85%, but if you have a C+ with a 79%, you could still end up with a C at a 74%.

If you really have no questions (meaning you have perfect scores on all graded, submitted work), then think up a real-world situation that , to the course matter and ask about that instead.

Good luck with your assignment.

Is 10 percent of your grade a lot?

So my mid term today was worth 10 percent of my final grade and i didnt really do too well on it, maybe high 70s. But would it have a huge impact on my grade if i have good semester averages? My final is worth ten percent too and i feel i did bad because of just silly mistakes and i choked and my mind went blank when trying to take the exam.

How much would 10 percent affect your grade?

Let's say an A is worth 4 points. You have 100*4, or 400. Then you add a 10% 0 to that. So now you still have 400, but now it's out of 110, so you have to divide it by 110. That's a 3.6, which is a B or B+.

Or let's put it another way. Say you have 9 grades in the class and all 9 are 100%. That's 900. When it's divided by the 9 assignments, you have 100%. But now you get a zero on assignment 10.
So now you have 9 100s and 1 zero. That still adds up to 900, but now you have to divide it by the 10 assignments, so now you have 90%. What grade does it say that is on your grading scale?

Unless the teacher has said that you have to turn in all assignments, in which case you could lose more points than this.

The real question is how much you DIDN'T learn by not doing the assignment, and how much that's going to hurt you in the future when you don't know stuff that the other students know. That's what education is all about, you know- learning, not percentage points.

And if this is in math, you have a bigger problem than the grade.

Is 30% of my grade a lot?

If you currently have a 76 average but get a 70 on a final worth 30% of your original grade, your average grade will drop to 74.2

Is 10% of your grade a lot?

Not really. That means that if you get a 0, it'll take 10 points off your overall grade, so if before you would've gotten a 90, you'll get an 80. Obviously you should try to do well, but it's not the end of the word if you don't do well.

I hope this information was very helpful.

Is 5% of your grade a lot?

It takes off 5%. If you had 100%, you now have 95%. If you had an 80%, you now have a 76%.

Is 10% of your grade a lot?

well it depends how many grades you have. If your only other grade is a test that you got a 97 on, then that 0 is going to affect it much more then if you have 50 other grades
