Employer ran Motor Vehicle Record check without written consent?

I have been employed at this company for nearly three years. Yesterday our Human Resources representative came back to our workshop area and requested the Drivers License of my coworkers. In front of everyone she collected the information and said ‘we are running Motor Vehicle Record checks on everyone for our insurance renewal’.
Later I receive this email:

Subject: Drivers License
XXXXX-
Could you please verify your driver’s license# is still: (actual full DL#) ?
We are in the process of our insurance renewal for 2013 and need to run motor vehicle reports employees who drive on a regular (or semi-regular) basis for work.
Thanks!

I responded with this:

Hello XXXXX,

Before answering your inquiry, I would like to discuss the details of this request and fully understand how this information will be used.

By confirming my DL number is this implied consent to a record check?

I am curious to know why my MVR is required, if I do not drive a company owned vehicle?

My personal vehicle is fully insured and I would expect any accidents or insurance related situations to be covered by my own personal auto insurance policy. (can be provided if needed)

In no way am I accusing or insinuating improper use of my personal information, however I want to ensure every precaution is taken in situations handling sensitive information. I do not feel comfortable displaying actual numbers via electronic message deliveries which are easily susceptible to interception.

Personally I would like to eliminate any and all unnecessary risks of identity compromise.

If this information is truly required and has contingencies on my employment status then I will grant consent in written format.

Thank you for understanding.

XXXXX XXXXX

I have yet to receive a response; however I have strong suspicions that my personal information was already processed without my written consent.
I understand some people might think I am causing unnecessary trouble, but I am a strong believer of people following the rules. Especially when it comes to my personal information handling.

Is it illegal for my employer to run this record check without my written consent?

How can I take out a personal loan while serving notice period at my current employment?

If you have an urgent and unforeseen requirement for some money while serving notice period at your existing organisation, don’t lose heart! Yes, when it comes to taking a loan a bank or financial institution does take into account your income (whether from business or salary) and the credit decision rests on this factor to a large extent. So much so, you are typically asked to provide proof of income as well, by way of salary slips and bank statements. However, whether you are serving your notice period or not does not normally adversely affect the lender’s decision to sanction your personal loan. What are the important factors, then, to keep in mind?A lender will look at your repayment ability at the underwriting stage; hence if your documentation (bank statement, other assets such as fixed deposits) shows sufficient means to pay off the loan, it would work in your favour. When it comes to a personal loan, a lender would want to look at your employment stability; hence if you have been working with the same organisation for a reasonable amount of time, there should not be any concern. This is only to ascertain the individual’s repayment capacity. Ideally, if your previous work experience is of three years or more, providing proof (such as the offer letter) from the organisation you are to join next, will be used to determine the status of your loan application.Look out for a pre-approved personal loan. Very often, basis the banking relationship your bank itself is likely to offer you a pre-approved loan. Not only is the documentation nil or close to nil in this case, but the approval is almost instant – some of the larger private banks offer loan disbursement in as little as ten seconds. Here naturally, whether you are on notice period with your current employer or not will not matter.Lastly, your credit score matters. Hence to be offered a loan at the most competitive interest rates, ensure that you have a good or healthy credit score, one that can be achieved through handling your finances – as well as past credit – judiciously, and proving your creditworthiness to a lender. In conclusionEven if you do have a gap in income (or salary) on account of serving notice period, your chances of loan approval do not diminish owing to this fact.As with any other loan product, ensure you make timely payments towards the EMI and keep your credit score clean.

Credit denied because "unable to verify credit references"?

Yeah, it's weird...I have plenty of credit (loans, credit cards) so that shouldn't have been an issue so I don't get it. I wonder it if was because I made the purchase on a holiday (New Years Day) and that's why they couldn't verify???

Debt validation answer from collector?

Telling you that they confirmed the debt with the original creditor is just crap, it means nothing. Do you actually owe a debt that could have been turned over to collections? I would send another letter now and send it certified with return receipt stating that they have failed to properly give you debt validation per the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. Since they refuse to send the proper info to validate this debt, they cannot continue their collection activity. You want invoices/statements showing what you owe, payments made, dates of services, copy of contract with your signature (not sure what type of service was sent to collections). Read up on the FDCPA and let them know you know what your rights are. Follow CatDad's format.

What do banks or lender companies look in Income tax return for providing loans?

In the income tax returns the lenders want to ascertain the consistency of the income, the genuineness of the income and pattern of invesments etc.In addition to the income tax returns they also look at your bank statements to ascertain the nature of outgo to find out pattern and quantum of expenses as well as nature of investments. They also look at existence of any loan from the bank statements.

Is a CIBIL score of 773 enough for a housing loan approval?

Yes! Definitely a YES. You have an amazing CIBIL score and it is more than enough to get you approval for a housing loan application. And it is also enough to make you eligible for some of the best Home Loan scheme available in India. Even if your CIBIL score wasn’t up to the mark, it was hardly going to matter. The approval for the Home Loan depends largely on the income and the debt-burden ratio of the applicant. Plus, the borrowing limit depends on the market value of the property being purchased. CIBIL score hardly plays a direct role in a Home Loan application.Yet, you never know! Lenders definitely use the CIBIL report to gauge your financial management skill, and thus, maintaining a high CIBIL score along with a neat and clean credit history is necessary. In the end, whether the given CIBIL score is enough to get you approval for a Home Loan or not depends on how much you are borrowing. A higher amount would require a higher score and vice versa. Also Read:What is the best credit score for home loan

Is 1,2000 enough to move out?

Okay I'm wanting to move into my own apartment as soon as possible so I'm giving myself a month to save. I make about 880 every two weeks. I have a car note that's 320, rent I'm looking at no more than 595 so with rent, my car and water bill that'll be about 950 .. With more for groceries. Think I'll be okay?

If I'm an exotic dancer, can I use that as proof of income when buying a car?

Or do finance companies frown upon that profession (due to no paycheck stubs and whatnot)? Just asking, cuz once I tried to get an apartment, and they wouldn't even accept a faxed letter from my job..... they said I needed a job that provided paycheck stubs. Are car dealerships pretty much the same?
