Is Anyone Still Getting That Fake Fbi Virus Why Does No One Seem To Want To Bother

"FBI Van" in network options? Real or someone messing around?

For the past two days or so, I've been noticing the network named "FBI Van" in my wifi options. When it shows up, my own wifi (FiOS) tends to get slower or even stops working. When it does not show up in my wifi options, my wifi is perfectly fine. I don't understand this. Anyone know what it could be or mean?

Can anyone tell me the full story of the game Hitman(from eidos interactive) from hitman1 to blood money?

I know its tiring for u to write the whole story. u c i played the first game but got stuck in the middle (i found it too tough!) and lost all interest in the game. Then i played hitman2 and loved it but the story was not clear to me as i dont know what happened in hit1. As for blood money, my PC does not meet the minimum requirements for playing the game(ratzzz.. though i'm thinking of buying a new PC this year)! So plz, plz tell me the story. 10 points instant!

FBI IP Address Alert/Warning? Is this a scam? Is it real? Please help!?

Okay so my sisters computer did this to her:

She turns it on, get on the to Bing (she made no searches all she did was open the browser, and then some FBI Warning/Accusation appears that says she is being accused of child por***graphy and then the some little light that her computer has at the top where her the webcam is started to flash and the camera turned on and you could see yourself on the screen.

It claimed that there was a $200 dollar fine and there was imprisonment too (it did not say for how long). Then there was a barcode to pay at the bottom to pay the fine apparently at the bottom with a tiny box to put in a code or numbers for the $200 fine, O_o

I have read in a bunch of other questions about this that is it just a prank and that it could be a thing called FBI Virus Pak or Pack I think it was.

What on earth is this???????

She is freaking out all she did was open her browser, and I am keeping calm for her but I am getting really mad and bothered right now this is something serious. help please!!!!! Some one answer this question. what can we do to clear this up. I tried to find some help agin for others questions that said someone could hack your IP adresss and before i forget she had a notification on her computer just before this happened that someone else had been using her IP adress. Is this real a prank a scam some other hacker what is this help I am getting frustrated at how people with no lives do this to other people!!!!!!

Is using a VPN safe? Is it possible that my personal information can be caught by some technical methods during the time I am using a VPN? If it can be done, how does it work?

All the answers other 32 answers you have read here are unfortunately wrong, wrong, wrong.VPN Services hide your IP address. Period. You will have your traffic encrypted to the service but it is unencrypted from the service to the end-point.When you interact with a website, the VPN service hands traffic back to you. If you click on the wrong thing, you can do irreparable damage to your device. That is true regardless of the VPN service. It is true even if that service has some filtering built into it. Key loggers, Bots, trojans, and all means of nasty things can still cause great harm. And then anything I do while in the VPN can be learned.Additionally, VPN services are, by default, a “man in the middle.” When we create intra-company VPNs, there is no man in the middle. We create a point to point or a company client to company server VPN. When you use a service, you do not know who it is in the middle. It might be good today, but compromised tomorrow. Good luck with that. There is so much you need to disable in your browser to make it truly safe, that most web pages will not display correctly when you lock things down, and lock them down you must, if you really want to be totally safe, even when using a VPN.The Internet is not a safe place. VPNs were not designed to make it safe. There are good and sound reasons for using VPNs. But ‘safety’ is not one of them.A virtual private network essentially is intended to say, you and I are friends who need to share stuff and not let anyone in the middle see what we are sharing. If the other end is evil, then you are most assuredly not safe. If the man in the middle gets corrupted or was always corrupt, or insecure, you are not safe. If you or the other side has been compromised by bad code, you are not safe.
