How can i learn badminton?

It's not really that hard. You pick up a racket and hit the birdie. WOW. Or you can ask someone who knows how to play if they can teach the game to you. Then you can learn it from them.

Sportsmanship, keeping your head high even when you lose & appreciate the efforts of the winning team and maintaining the humbleness when you win. These 3 are the difficult things to do in any sport. At the end of the day, When you play any sport it is all about Winning it. But then lot comes in to play in regard with how you win. Sportsmanship / fairplay is difficult to maintain taking in to consideration the circumstances that you will be in / your team will be in regard with winning the game.Another difficult thing is to keep your head high even when you end up on the losing side and be in the ground to appreciate the efforts / achievement of the winning team. The most important thing is to maintain your calm and humbleness when you win any sport.

Outsmarting your opponent. Sure, you could have a devastating smash but if your opponent is smart enough not to give you any lifts, then you won’t be able to utilize that part of your arsenal. Knowing what shots to take when to take them is most definitely one of the hardest parts of playing badminton; this is something that can only be taught by experience gained from many hours spent on the courts.Balancing finesse and power at all times. Badminton requires you to be constantly on the extremes of power and gentleness when handling the birdie. If you see an opening you want to smash the birdie with all of your might. When performing a net drop you want to have the birdie just barely tumble over the top of the net.

How easy or hard is the sport badminton?

It is very easy to learn how to play, but it can be REALLY difficult if you want to play competitively. People who think it's just a silly backyard game haven't seen a good match. You should really join though. It is tons of fun and great exercise!

Is tennis a difficult sport?

Tennis is a very difficult sport. It is not just hitting the ball over the net and in bounds, there are tons of different shots and grips. Also tennis requires technique for the shots that are impossible to learn by yourself. But when you learn it it is a super fun and a healthy sport that burns 500 to 700 calories an hour, depends how aggressively you play. If you become a good player you also get an amazing scholarship. But it all depends on how willing you are, if you want to be a Professional you have to practise many hours a day.

Is badminton complicated to learn?

Actually, no its not complicated to learn. I'm actually on the Varsity team for my school. It just takes a lot of practice, time, and effort to learn every technique and footworks. Badminton is really fast and requires a lot of agility, skills, strength, and stamina, etc.
But trust me, it really isnt hard to learn and its a really fun sport to play.

Why is it up to you? If your child shows interest in either or both, let him/her start to learn the game(s) and decide for himself or herself if they want to proceed further. I think your injury is irrelevant to the discussion. I don’t play badminton, just tennis. I think tennis is a fabulous lifetime sport. Badminton is likely similar, but where I live does not seem very popular, so I would tend to push tennis over badminton, but I would go with whatever my child decided.A badminton court can be set up quickly on any flat, grassy area. I’d put one in my backyard if my child showed any interest, and learn to play a bit myself. But for tennis, I’m a member of a nice club already - my child could play there for free, after lessons. I’d be happy to act as coach. But, alas, none of my kids ever showed any interest in the sports I participate in.

Is badminton harder than tennis ?

People get the wrong impression that badminton is easier than tennis simply because they are beginners. At the low level, it is true. At any higher level, badminton becomes vastly harder. Lets look at some facts from a Wimbledon final and a badminton world championships final, alright?

Time of ball in play
Tennis: 18 minutes
Badminton: 37 minutes

Number of shots
Tennis: 1004
Badminton: 1972

Distance traveled
Tennis: 2 miles
Badminton: 4 miles

The badminton player will do more arm swings than a MLB pitcher.

Record ball speed
Tennis 263 km/h
Badminton 332 km/h

You have to jump in badminton (constantly). Tennis, not so much.
The ball is allowed to bounce in tennis. Badminton, no.

The actual length of the matches
Tennis: 198 min
Badminton: 76 min

When paired with the time that the ball is actually in play (18 min and 37 min), tennis players are only running around less than 10% of the time, and badminton players are running AND jumping 50% of the time.
Badminton players need to run TWICE the distance tennis players run in HALF the time. Don t say badminton is a wimpy sport just because you guys play it wimpily. It is a very intense sport at intermediate and high levels.
