Is Everybody A Troll If Yahoo Dictates Where The Questions Can Go

Why does Yahoo attract so many right-wing conservatives?

The fact that you see many conservatives on Yahoo is probably due to the fact that conservatives outnumber liberals by about 2-to-1 in America. More than 40% of Americans self-identify as conservative. However, roughly 20% self-identify as liberal. The rest self-identify as moderate. However, the reason that you see more in the comments section of certain articles is more about your own habits and Yahoo’s specific algorithm. They are feeding you more of what you click on.Yahoo is certainly not a conservative media site. While they produce some in-house content, most of it skews pretty far to the left (of the American sociopolitical spectrum). The rest of their news is as a news aggregation website.Yahoo partners with various “news” sources, websites and blogs. Those companies use Yahoo’s various pages as a doorway to them (and many of them actually pay Yahoo for this opportunity).Since Yahoo is owned by Verizon, you see quite a bit of other Verizon-owned publications on Yahoo (such as the very left-wing Huffington Post). However, Yahoo is a business. They make money on advertisement metered through “clicks.” Their homepage is not universal or static either. Yahoo uses cookies to determine what it is that you’re clicking on.To help push more clicks, they use a proprietary algorithm that determines what to feed in an individualized “click bait.” When you sign up for Yahoo, you give them the right to sell your online habits to other bidders. This is why you find specific ads on your screen or in your Yahoo Mail page.Over the last year, Yahoo has disguised some advertisements as regular email (rather than spam).Other websites do the same. Facebook, Twitter, Google (including YouTube) and many other companies push this. They sell your profiles (and habits) to corporations, politicians, political organizations, etc. It is lucrative to such businesses and politicians because it is valuable direct marketing. This is an unfortunate truth of Yahoo and the power held by Big Tech companies. They are involved in data-mining and either using that data to their advantage (as in click bait), selling it to others…or both.

Why does everyone hate Christians?

babeedoll05, good question. I'll admit that I'm questionable with my faith. To be honest, it's not like I don't have my doubts about my beliefs. I'm at an age where I'll question everything, and questioning things is well- a good thing. I just trust that some day I'll look up to the sky and realize that God was there all along. Frankly, I don't try to be blasphemous in my humor, although I find different things to be blasphemous. A lot of people will find that just using the word, "god" is blasphemous.
When I shout, "Oh my god!" I'm not saying anything negative about my God. I'm just using his name. I wouldn't mind it if someone said, "Oh my TrueFreak!" And I simply don't see how that would be a blasphemy.

If you disagree with this statement, please don't explain to me why it is blasphemous.

Why is Quora full of questions like "why don't atheists murder each other"? What proportion of those are serious?

Unfortunately, a lot of these questions are as serious as a Trump at a buffet… and that’s rather scary. They honestly think that because we didn’t have a religious upbringing that we are going to go Ted Bundy on everyone. That just isn’t true, as Atheists appear to be more moral than people who claim to be religious.Numerous polls taken have shown that less than 1% of the US prison population identified themselves as Atheists. So if we have no morals, why are the prisons in the United States mainly full of god fearing theists? The fact is we are capable of being good without god, especially if we were raised by good people and live in a community that treated us well. Good teachers make a world of difference as well, and I had some pretty awesome ones that put me on the right path, making me the awesome human being you see here today. While I am sure religion helps some people live a moral life, the truth is religion is not necessary in order for someone to live a good life and be a good person. The last time I checked, the people running over crowds with trucks, blowing themselves up at concerts and beheading people for not following what they thought was the correct religion are atrocities that are all being committed by people who are religious…Just saying,PJ

Has anyone ever tried Chastity in their relationship?

I was thinking of putting my husband in chastity to stop him from watching so much porn and to make our sex lives better. Do you think this is a good idea? What device should I consider?

What does it mean to call someone a troll?

Well, there's a few different meanings, but the one you are talking about is probably the Internet version of a troll. Online, a "troll" is someone who, basically, deliberately posts random and off-topic things on message boards, blogs, even Yahoo! answers that does nothing beneficial for anyone. Trolls harass people and like to start unneeded arguments. They just like to stir up trouble, or at least attempt to.

Hope I helped ya out!
