Why should I study at Far Eastern University?

Why shouldn’t you?The sword is only as good as it’s wielder, as an old saying goes…You don’t really have to, if you don’t want to.Practically speaking, it’s one of the more expensive Universities around the manila area, the neighborhood is a mess and the smell of pollution will give your baby lungs cancer. they’ll milk you of cash any way they can and only leave you with morsels of knowledge you’ll need for real life. YES, morsels, but if you’re smart enough (or crafty enough), that’s all you’ll ever need.If you’re asking the question “Why should I..?” suggests that you a better options for your education and maybe you’re better off not enrolling in the first place.I’m not big on school spirit and alma mater shenanigans, BTW, and i don’t want to step on toes to offend anyone, but it’s never about where you came from, it’s always about what you’ve become.

University of Santo Tomas or Far Eastern University?

Which school, in general, is better? I come from the province and have been granted by the OWWA with a scholarship discount. I just have to find a good school to study. Both the Ateneo and La Salle are far too expensive for me even with the discount. For some reason, my mother does not want me to go to UP. I can go to any school other than those three. I have narrowed down my choices to either UST or FEU.

Saan ho mas maganda ang quality of education? Samat po.

Should I go to University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philipines?

It is a good choice. The university will be a lot more difficult than a US school. It might be better considering an International school, much easier. One advantage about UST is the degree will transfer directly to the US- at least it does in Texas. There are not many Pontifical Universities in the world, and UST is the oldest still around. The only ones in the US are Georgetown and Catholic University. UST and FEU (Far Eastern University) have separate pay schedules on their websites for foreign students. The only Americans I have met who graduated from universities in the Philippines, though, came from UST. They really excel here. UST has a good rep.

How to travel from Mandaluyong City to Far Eastern University (FEU) in Manila?

Super sorry talaga, but Quiapo Church to FEU Gym is a longer walk than coming from UST daw. :[

I actually wanted to opt for the one passing by España because FEU's Gym is along R. Papa.

If the jeepney I ride passes through España, it would be much much easier walk because I would only have to get off at the southern tip of España then walk through Nicanor Reyes until I get to the corner of R. Papa (the one with Jollibee daw).

Now, what is the way to ride a jeepney that passes through España Blvd. from Mandaluyong? No problem if I need to ride from Shaw, or Kalentong or EDSA, I just need to know a way to ride a jeepney that passes through España Blvd., even if I need to change more than one ride on the way if I'm coming from any major point you could suggest in Mandaluyong.

Thanks Thanks. :]

Which one is the best university in the Philippines, UP, DLSU, ADMU or UST?

In terms of academic programs, all four Universities have excellent programs that have the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)'s Center of Excellence (COE) and Development (COD) classification. They all also have the highest level CHED autonomous status. Their graduates also do well in licensure examinations when necessary. Employment potential is also generally good for all of these Universities with high placement rates. In terms of financial assistance, they also have very generous scholarship and financial aid programs. Technically, all students in UP are scholars. In Ateneo, the last time I checked around 20% of the student population is covered. In term of ambiance, UP Diliman has a Berkeley University town appeal. Ateneo has a Stanford-like wide open spaces single campus appeal. DLSU and UST have a urban monolithic campus appeal like Columbia. In terms of foreign exchange programs, they all them as well. Ateneo has a formal and immensely popular Junior Term Abroad (JTA) program. This is also one of the reasons for the academic calendar shift to August because those taking JTA have to enroll in JTA courses that have an adjusted academic calendar already. At this level, potential candidates should make evaluations based on their desired program.
