Why isn't Gareth Bale as good at Real Madrid as he was at Tottenham?
While everybody is bashing on him not being the center piece as he was at Spurs being the primary reason why he isn't performing that well I think that Bale right now is as good as he is ever going to be.Lets start with the first assumption about him not being the center piece - First of all , he isn't good enough for a team to be specially built around him No doubt his last season at Spurs was good , however the reason for that was that he was given complete freedom to do whatever he liked. He had little to no defensive responsibilities , never had to man mark , was given the freedom to shoot about a million times in a single match. He was the big fish in the little pond. Since his transfer to RM he has to adjust to being a small fish in the ocean. His first season had plenty of assists and goals and he did win the CL and the Copa , but did he really impact games ? Did he really terrorize defenses ? Did he give the full back nightmares one night before the match(expect maybe Maicon). The answer is an emphatic NO. Considering his was a record transfer he was expected to make a much bigger impact. CR7 came and tore up La Liga. His contribution and goal scoring have more than justified his status and price tag. Bale on the other hand hasn't.Skills - Okay , so he has a killer left foot. So did Adriano. He has amazing speed , but he is a one trick pony. Give him some space and he will kick the ball past you and race after it. Cut of the space and he cant beat his man. His dribbling skills are bad , he is predictable always trying to cut inside. He can't cross with his right foot, his delivery ranges from being exceptional to something that my nephew does and he is 9.Striker instinct/finishing - Its one thing to hit one from 30 yards out and another to be surrounded by defenders and hit the ball past the keeper on the first touch. Bale doesn't have good finishing which was evident from this years CL semis. CR and RM created so many chances for him that a player worth 93 mil should have converted. Instead RM ended trophy-less this season. Bale was an overpriced buy that should have cost around 45-50 mil at max. Don't see him really being talked in the same bracket as the Footballing greats at his current level.

He is well known for his speed he can get past opponents in a matter of seconds.Big game player : Gareth Bale is a big game player. As you know on 26th May Real Madrid will meet Liverpool in the finals for the UEFA Champions League. And I am damn sure Zinedine Zidane will substitute him in that match and the big game player is going to make some impact on the opposition.Hala Madrid!
