Is it bad to wear a band shirt to Warped Tour 2013?

Im going to warped tour in August for the very first time ever!!! So basically im a warped tour virgin... Haha :) Well I heard of this rule to NOT wear a band shirt to warped tour... Is this true? I was thinking of wearing a crown the empire shirt but I was told not to cause they are on the lineup. Then I was thinking of wearing a pierce the veil shirt cause they aren't on the lineup. Im so confused. Why is it so bad to wear a band shirt to warped tour?? Another problem is that all my band t-shirts are black besides my SWS shirt. But they are on the lineup. IM SO CONFUSED. Please help!

What to wear for Warped Tour?

Let's put it out there, you will get very sweaty. It's for the whole day in the hot summer weather. The best thing to wear is a loose, thin shirt or a thin tank top with a bikini under. (People throw drinks into the crowd, etc, you might get wet, and it's more comfy in my opinion) Wear shorts!!! And do not wear flip flops or slip ons no matter what! You may get stuck in a mosh pit and you don't want your feet to get stepped on, or too lose one crowd surfing. I wore hightops this year and I managed to lose my high tops and sock in the mosh pit! Imagine if I were wearing flip flops...Do not spend forever to get ready on your makeup and hair because truth is you'll come out looking like a hot mess! Keep the makeup simple. The hair could be put in a braid/ponytail if your hair tangles easily. Have fun!!!

Is it rude to wear another bands shirt to a concert?

Good grief no that's not rude.

Every time I go to a concert I see shirts for at least 25 different bands, probably more if I actually bothered to keep track of that sort of thing, and there's only like three or four bands playing.

Hell, there's a good chance that even the band themselves will be wearing other band's shirts...

Warped Tour virgin, help & tips?

Some venues take water bottles or the caps, so bring an extra cap. They definitely have free refills though.

If you mean stuff like water bottles, probably not. When I went to a different show that didn't allow water bottles they made me throw them away.

Sometimes before, sometimes after. Get to the venue early, and the moment you get in, find the merch tents immediately, they will have the signing times posted at their merch tents. Some bands you just ask and they give you a wrist band or whatever, some you have to pay, but generally the trend this year tends to be that you'd have to buy a poster or wristband, and that's no more than 10 dollars, probably much less. So get to their tent quickly. Usually you can't take pictures but some of the members will let you. Also a lot of band members walk around and they might be cool with taking selfies with you.

I mean no one can tell you what to do, but please do wear your hair up. If its long enough to be in a ponytail, it should be up. Warped is disgusting and sweaty and having other people's hair in your mouth and sticking to your skin just makes it ickier. Plus the crowds get pretty rough, a friend of mine was at BMTH's set in Philly and she said that it was the most intense one, so your hair might get pulled and yanked and stuff.

Have fun! :3

Vans Warped Tour Questions?

Comfortable shoes are a must. You will be on your feet all day. Converse or Vans work well.

Wear sunblock. Sunburns are not fun.

Bring extra money for food and band merch. And a sharpie for autographs.

Don't let yourself get dehydrated. Blacking out sucks.

Avoid the moshpits. These usually take place in the center of the crowd. The front and sides are usually fine.

Bring a hat and shades if you can. And a drawstring bag.

And yes, being at the front is the most incredible experience ever. Be prepared to fight for your spot though. Not sure about other bands, but the guys in Family Force 5 seem to like flinging their water bottles into the crowd and Icon for Hire has had super soakers in the past so you might get wet. Don't see 3OH!3 if they're there. I've heard it from at least two friends they're a band to avoid.

Have fun!

Vans warped tour questions.?

1. Bring a camera! Some bands do meet and greet, and they're the best! If you think youre going to bring a bit more take like a smallish bag to carry things. Also you might want to bring a water bottle.
2. You can wear bikini tops but I doubt theres a safe way to keep them from being untied. They sell shirts there if you dont feel like wearing the bikini top.
3. Depending on the band some are like WHOA! and others dont really have any. But those are usually in the center crowd.
4. Vans are ok. Just make sure they are closed in shoes.
Any other tips? TRY TO BRING A LOT OF MONEY! Water is like $3 and the food is probably $10. Plus the merch can be pricey.
Try to sleep because youre going to need it. Eat in the morning. Get there like an hour or two ahead of time. Take sun screen. Take as much breaks/rest as you can.
And I believe this is it.
GOOD LUCK!

Can someone tell me about Warped Tour??

bands will be walking around, but it's usually smaller bands trying to sell their cds so they can have as money and get their name out there. if you want to meet a band, go by their merch tent and usually there will be a sign saying where and when their signing will be. bring a sharpie and paper to write information like this down. you will also want to write down the set times when you first get in. there will be a big inflatable leader-board type thing and it will have ll of hte bands and what stage/time they are playing. be sure to take the time and write this down.
DO NOT BRING LAWN SEATS hahahaha i doubt they will even allow them in...it's general admission which means everyone pays the same ticket price and everyone can pretty much go wherever they want.
bands are people too. be yourself and talk to them. you can always start off by telling them how much you love them hahaha.
as for $$, i would say about 15 to twenty dollars for food per person (it's expensive, but it's all there is. you really have to be sure and take care of yourself there. it will be very hot, so stay hydrated and eat something!) cds re very cheap there, usually 10 dollars give or take. shirts are bout 15 to 20 dollars apiece. it all depends on how much you want to buy. i would bring about eighty dollars though.
bring backpack to carry all of your stuff in. you will get a TON of free stuff.
bring a camera. crazy sh*t will happen. you will want to document it.
don't bother wearing makeup, it will melt off of your face while you are still waiting in line to get in. this is a fact haha.
wear sneakers (flip flops will break, flats will fall off) they will protect your feet (for the most part) from getting stepped on. wear shorts (NO JEANS! lol) and a tank top. and deoderant hahaha. you will sweat like no other, especially if youre in the pit. also, if you plan on getting close to the stage, be prepared to get hit by crowd surfers (hurts) nd get pushed against the rail (also hurts). it's ll about pain tolerance. security guards will help you out if you want to get out.

emil me if you have any other questions =]
