Is it Haram to live in the west as a Muslim?

You absolutely can't touch the Quraan or pray when you have your period, but you can read it from the computer or listen from I pod.
Why arent people modest anymore?
It takes a strong person to be the only modest girl in a group of friends who are immodest. It's really actually "cool" to not care about what anyone thinks. Wearing what you want, acting how you want and no letting anyone break you is the way to go in high school, from my experience. People respect you more that way. If you act timid and unhappy with how you are, they are just going to sense that and take advantage. Yes, high school can be extremely brutal and unfortunately you've just got to survive six years of it. Try to focus on why you're actually there too - to get an education. What do you want to do after high school? Try setting academic goals and working towards achieving them. Think about the big picture, sister. High school will end, I promise you :)
Is it haram to have a black cat?
This is a supersticious belief that black cats are bad luck but we as Muslims do not believe in superstition. Abu Huraira (RA)'s name is translated to "father of cats." He loved cats dearly, and my brother told me that he used to sneak kittens to the masjid in the sleeves of his clothes lol. I don't know where he heard this story, I think our Mulana Sahib told him. Anyways, even our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) had a love for all of Allah's creatures, including animals. The only animals which we cannot keep are dogs and pigs because they are napaak (not clean.) I have 2 cats, 1 is black and white and the other is black and brown.
