Is It Haram To Eat Non-lawful Food In A Ka

D&D 3.5e non-lawful monk?

It's not possible. if you play a monk, and become unlawful, you can't level up!

How do you explain to a non-muslim what Halal and Haram is?

Here is a simple way to remember the two:

Halal is an Arabic word meaning lawful or permitted. The opposite of halal is haram, which means unlawful or prohibited. Halal and haram are universal terms that apply to all facets of life. However, we will use these terms only in relation to food products, meat products, cosmetics, personal care products, food ingredients, and food contact materials.

All foods are considered halal except the following, which are haram:

Swine/pork and its by-products
1. Animals improperly slaughtered or dead before slaughtering
2. Animals killed in the name of anyone other than ALLAH (God)
3. Alcohol and intoxicants
4. Carnivorous animals, birds of prey and land animals without external ears
5. Blood and blood by-products
6. Foods contaminated with any of the above products

remember it that way:) good luck

Is non-zabiha meat Halal for us to eat?

Salamun aleikum.

There have been a lot of questions about Halal meat and I am not too sure about it myself.
I was raised in a shia state and only zabiha meat is halal. (Zabiha is when it’s slaughtered facing the Ka’ba and with a bismillah).

Now in America most Muslims I am around are Sunni, the majority of which eat non-zabiha meat (from fast-food places and grocery stores)

So I am unclear about this but I did some research this is what I came up with from the Qur’an.

“ Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah, that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal……” (Al-maeda: 2).

Killing by a violent blow I’m pretty sure refers to being killed by a gun or of the sort. Basically any cruel or violent way. Which practically all meats in the west are gotten. They hang cows (alive!) from the ceiling and steam them to death over 15 minutes….

Verse 4:
“This day are (all) things good and pure made lawful unto you. The food of the People of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them……” (Al-maeda: 4)

So, a lot of my friends who eat non-zabiha point to this aye above and say, “See their food is lawful to us so we can eat it” But to me that doesn’t make sense on the meat part. Because yes that aye does say their food is lawful but does that make their pork or their wine lawful too? No

So with the same ruling I say, see here in the quran it says Pork is haram and here it says meat killed in a violent blow is haram so regardless of being food of people of the book or not it’s still haram!

But I think we can eat Kosher meat maybe because I don’t think animals Koshered are killed in a brutal way and they are killed with the name of God.

So from my conclusion it seems we cannot eat the meat of the people of the book that are killed in brutal ways? So basically stick with Halal? If this isn’t correct please enlighten me Because this has confused me for a while. Jazakallah khair
