Is It Okay To Mix Different Kinds Of Alcohol Then Drink It

If you drink different kinds of alcohol together, is there a higher chance of vomiting?

Yes.If you have multiple types of alcohol in a night, you're likely to be drinking more than you usually do, which will make you more likely to vomit.Even if you're drinking the same amount, if you're already pretty close to the edge, a new kind of drink is more likely to put you over than the same old PBR that you've been drinking all night. If you have had bad (i.e., nausea-inducing) experiences with certain kinds of drinks (*cough* tequila), if you're having all kinds of drinks throughout the night, the chances are higher that something you drink will trigger some memory of nausea.Nausea caused by drinking is highly psychological - if you think that you're more likely to vomit because you've been having many kinds of alcohol, you're more likely to do it.I don't think there's any inherent biological reason why mixing types of alcohol should make you more likely to vomit.

Why should one not mix different kinds of alcoholic beverages?

I think you mean: “Why should one not mix different kinds of alcoholic beverages?”If you mix different kinds of alcohol, it will probably kill you. The only alcohol that humans drink is ethanol (C2H5OH). Other types of alcohols, like wood alcohol, are poisonous and will kill you.So I think you want to know about drinking different types of beverages that contain ethanol (that we find in beer, wine, whisky, etc.) The trouble can occur based on what else is in the drink other than the alcohol. Some of the other ingredients for some people can interact and make them sick. This also depends on the quantity of drinks you are consuming. For most people the more you drink and mix stuff the sicker you will end up.

Is drinking different brands of alcohol ok?

Yes, its does’t matter which brands of alcohol are you drinking. you can drinks different brands of alcohol. one think which always keep in mind you should always drink in moderation .

What are effects of drinking two different types of alcohol within same time span? Mainly for champagne as starter and red wine later.

First lets note that there is only one "kind" of alcohol for drinking, that is ethanol.  Other types like methanol are poisonous and can kill you.  So no matter what the alcoholic drink you are drinking (assuming it came from a reliable source) the alcohol will be the same.  What can be different is the amount of alcohol in the drink.  A Martini will (usually) have more alcohol than a rum and Coke which will (usually) have more alcohol than a glass of light beer.  You may hear comments like, "I get sick when I drink "type X" and also drink "type Y."  This could just be because they drink too much alcohol and will get sick no matter what they drink.  A possible reason is what is mixed with the alcohol in those two different types of drinks.  There are some drinks that tend to intensive a hangover because of what is in the drink other than the alcohol. If you find you are "sick" the next morning, my recommendation is not to drink so much at the party the night before.  A good rule is make every few drinks a water or soda.

Is it okay to mix two different brands of rum?

you can mix the dark and light rum, they are both 40 proof. but it will change the taste of the rum after mix since dark rum and gold rum do have slightly flavors. But don't mix Tequila with rum unless your making a mixed drink. that will hit you bad. and yes it does make a difference not that it will add to the percent (proof) but it will add to the chances of you getting a bad hang over if you drink a lot of that mixture.it has to do with the way each drink is distilled, tequila is from a agave plant and rum is from sugarcane or malaise's (which is Sugar cane by product). By the way im a bartender.

Is it bad to mix different beers when drinking?

Ok, so, obviously it is bad to mix liquor with beer. This results in an awful
hangover and upset stomach.
But what about just mixing different beers? For example, what if I drink
like Guinness, Blue Moon, Sam Adams, Miller Lite, etc. all in one night?
Would it cause the same effect as mixing liquor with beer? Or is it ok?
Different beers are made differently (for example, Blue Moon is made from
wheat).

So what do you think? Is mixing beers like this would be a bad idea or not?

Can you mix different types of alcohol together?

all alcoholic beverages actually have the same type of alcohol in them: ethanol. the largest reason people usually avoid mixing different types is its harder to judge how much you have been drinking.

there are many sayings that are related:
"don't mix the grape & the grain"
"beer before liquor, never been sicker"
etc

honestly, its the overall amount, not type that makes the biggest difference.

When people say "don't mix different types of alcoholic beverages", what do they actually mean, and why do they say that?

From my own experience (and a hour of instruction from the university police during freshman orientation. No really, during class, this wasn't extra-curricular), its definitely about keeping track of how much you've imbibed and pacing yourself.  If you're trying to have a good night with friends and not just get black out drunk, structure is important. Alcohol impairs your memory and decision making skills, so keeping track of what you've drank and how fast of anything more than one or two different types of drinks requires all of your concentration (instead of concentrating on conversation, pretty women, or a game of darts).About an ounce of pure alcohol is considered one drink and for simplicity, that's about one shot of 80 proof liquor, 5 ounces of wine, or 12 ounces of beer.  For a moderately sized man (160-200 pounds) about two drinks in the first hour and one drink every subsequent hour will put you in the happy zone of buzzed, but not plastered and keep you there.  Give or take depending on your weight, percent body fat, tolerance, and personal chemistry. You can do that by having a stiff martini pretty quickly, then alternating martinis and glasses of water through out the evening.Or by having two beers the first hour and then drinking a beer an hour afterward.Or you can abide by "beer before liquor, never sicker; liquor before beer, your in the clear" and start with a martini then switch to beer. Follow any of these, and you can still play a game of pool, talk to attractive members of the opposite sex without slurring, and walk home or give correct change to the cabbie. But if you have a quick beer when you get to the bar, then a slow one, then a martini, then a beer, then some wine, then a beer, then a chocolate cake shot, you've now lost track of time and "drinks" and are well on your way to being unable to standup or keep your dinner down.  Oops, no dinner? I meant keep your booze down.

Is it bad to drink different drinks in the same night? For example firstly a glass of beer and then a glass of whiskey etc.?

This is an old myth. If you are pacing your drinking, say a beer as aperitif, a glass of wine with the meal, maybe a glass of liqueur with dessert and coffee, than a small whisky before bed (assuming all of the above takes about 6 hours) I doubt you’ll have any problems. Certainly I don’t.HOWEVER… I have noticed what any number of say beer drinkers or wine drinkers, are half in the bag and a whisky is offered them, they have already reached the point of very poor judgement. I once watched a guy, who told his friends in a bar, “I only drink beer.” They had a great time, and I have no idea how many beers he had. Then one of his friends ordered a very nice whisky (Glenlivet 18.) Beer Only Guy joined him.I doubt I would have let BOG drive me home before the whisky. To my astonishment he downed 4 whisky in the time it took his friend to drink one. They promptly left. I figure about 10 minutes later the whisky would have been absorbed and he’d have a very hard time focusing both eyes. And my bet is he had a hangover the size of Manhattan the next morning. And he doubtless said “You see what happens when you mix drinks?”
