Is It Okay To Visit My Highschool

Visiting my old high school?

Graduated three years ago...

Wasn't ever there, but always had a good relationship with the teachers whose classes I could endure, thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to stop by or something.

Maybe run into some of the younger crowd...I dunno.

I mean if I did, I remember graduates used to do it all the time, so it wouldn't be totally inappropriate.

Would it make me look like a fckin loser who can't let go of my teen years? Or am I just reading too deeply into it?

Can I wear my ACU's to visit my old high school?

AR 670-1
Paragraph 1-10j - Wearing Army uniforms is prohibited in the following situations:
(1) In connection with the furtherance of any political or commercial interests, or when engaged in off-duty civilian
employment.
(2) When participating in public speeches, interviews, picket lines, marches, rallies, or public demonstrations, except
as authorized by competent authority.
(3) When attending any meeting or event that is a function of, or is sponsored by, an extremist organization.
(4) When wearing the uniform would bring discredit upon the Army.
(5) When specifically prohibited by Army regulations.

I would not see any issue with you wearing the uniform back to your high school. I would check with your 1SG or Commander for clarification for ROTC. Remember, that every time you are in uniform you represent the military and must conduct yourself as such.

Can i visit my old school?

Yes you can. All schools have their own rules about when because the teachers are working and won't want to be disturbed. However, around now schools are having open evenings for potential new children. If you just want to have a look around you could ring first, if you want to see an old teacher you will need to arrange a suitable time.

Please. though. do not just turn up and expect to be allowed to walk around the site. You are no longer a member of that school and will be viewed as an intruder if you do and may be seen off the site by the police. Think about it. You don't want strangers wondering around vulnerable children either do you?

I hope you get to visit your old school. It won't feel the same because your friends have moved on too. There may be changes that surprise you too.

Is it weird to visit my old high school?

my friend and I are visiting our high school tomorrow... we're sophomores in college now... is it weird to visit favorite teachers?... have you ever done it?

Is it normal to visit your old high school teachers?

At my graduation ceremony when we hugged our high school teachers goodbye, one of them asked if I would visit. Is this just a formality, or do people actually visit their old HS teachers? I kind of miss my english teacher, but I don't want to be weird. HS teachers have like a 100 students every year, and they're probably pretty busy, so do they actually like visitors?

Is it okay to visit your old teachers? =/?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that! I am a teacher, and when I decided to become a teacher, I went back to My favorite Elementary, Middle, and High School Teachers and told them that all three of them influenced my decision. My elementary school teacher influenced me by saying how much fun she had teaching and seeing her pupils grow up into wonderful young adults. My Middle School teacher basically did the same thing. My High School teacher, I had for Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. He had such a fun time teaching, that that is when I finally made my decision. I often go back to my hometown and visit all of my old teachers, and they enjoy hearing stories about my students, and I as well enjoy hearing stories about their current teachers. Now, I have been teaching High School Mathematics for about 9 years, so that means that I have had about 8-9 classes (school year graduation) in my teaching life, and I often have visitors at least once a week, and I enjoy spending time with them. A couple of them even told me that I was the one that influenced them to become a teacher. The first time I heard this, it was a student that I had for one year, in AP Calculus. She was a bright young lady. She made all A's. When she came back 6 years later, I was in my 7th year teaching. She said that she had graduated with a Master's in Secondary Education with a concentration in Mathematics and that she was teaching Calculus, I was so proud that I almost cried. Influencing students to become teachers is the best feeling in the world! Hope I helped, sorry that It's quite "rambly!"

Are students allowed to go into a high school to visit that we graduated from?

Before Parkland, my school was pretty relaxed about its visitation policies. That being said, now former students are not allowed, under most circumstances, to visit during school hours. It used to be that they could just walk up to the front office, request a visitor’s badge, and strut right in.This question seems to be inquiring about visitation during school hours. It’s still fine for former students to attend sporting events (aka Homecoming football game), or afterschool club meetings, but when it comes to official school hours, the rules have tightened considerably. However, former student visitation is such an integral tradition that students still find ways to pop up at Northview. It’s pretty commmon around the holiday season, when their finals are over and they’ve come to visit family, for former students to sneak themselves into the school.During the week before finals, small clumps of former students wait besides alternate entrances of the school until a current student opens the door for them. We’ve been told by the administration not to open doors for them, yet the students’ reaction towards increased security measures has been blasé so far.I think it’s because students don’t think that anything will happen to our school, and we live under a cloud of naivety assuming that former students come back with good intentions.Of course, I’m not saying that every student comes back with harmful intentions, just that when you see somebody you know the good reputation of standing outside, your natural reaction is to let them in.

I have to go visit my future high school. What should I wear, something comfortable and cute?

A2A. I have to go visit my future high school. What should I wear, something comfortable and cute? There is a dress code:Dress CodeStudents are expected to dress neatly and in a manner appropriate to the school setting. While student dress is a matter of individual taste, there is a generally accepted standard that is required while at school. Being neat and clean is essential. Students are expected to come to school clothed and groomed in an appropriate manner, which is dictated by good taste, principles of good personal hygiene, and modesty. Shorts, Bermuda style only, and skirts must be no more than 10 centimetres above the knee. Leggings and tights are not to be worn alone. They may only be worn under skirts/shorts that are no more than 10 centimetres above the knee. Exceptions to this rule may be permitted as required for dance/athletics activities and sports within their class setting. For safety and security reasons, shoes must be worn at all times in the school. Exceptions IN CLASS for Dance, Drama and Physical Education during class timewill be made with the permission from the teacher. The following items are not permitted:Caps, sun visors, bandanas, shirts with thin shoulder straps, low cut tops, singlets, tops that expose the midriff, pants with large holes or that are shredded, pants worn below the hips, clothing that exposes undergarments and clothing with inappropriate logos or messages.Considering the frequency of changes in current fashions, the school administration reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of these new fashions for the school setting. Students who fail to respect the dress code may be sent home by the administration.

What is it like to visit one's former high/middle school teachers?

As an adult going back to see my high school teachers it was a great experience down memory lane. Some were good and some were not so great while I struggled through those painful maturing years. But all were encouraging and kind putting up with my bad English and trying to learn about jow a normal american teen was supposed to act.As a teacher meeting my students after 30 and 40 yr. It's wonderfully rewarding to see even the students who were not so promising but tried hard at everything do so very well in life. But everyone of my students who liked or disliked me because I was hard on them have said yes you were tough but you weren't like the others "you cared about each one of us".So those of you that thought that your teachers were mean and not encouraging, did you ever think that your teacher was setting you up to challenge yourself? Having sent those letters thinking that you have succeeded as a revenge, I hope you are satisfied with that feeling but perhaps the teacher interpreted that letter as " well you FINALLY got the message".Always think deeper than just the surface. There is always a message that ateacher/advisor/ mentor gives that is hidden behind what seems to be just a surface or even perhaps a mean comment. Teachers are not intentionally mean. We can read you better than you can read yourself. Some need pampering and encouraging and others need to a good kick in the pants to get them moving and thinking.

Can former High school students visit their old High Schools?

I don't think a student is allowed to visit their old school unless it's strictly for business reasons but I not sure about that.My son's girlfriend said it was okay if my son visits his former school to visit his former teacher.I don't believe that.To me it's crossing the line for former students to visit heir former teachers. It's weird and wrong for former students to visit teacher of the opposite gender if they are married and I not sure if the school allows students to visit their former teachers anyway. It's not right at all for former students to visit their former teacher if they are married and if they are the opposite gender of that former student. Is it okay for former students to visit their former teachers in school? Will the teacher get in trouble for a former student visiting them?
