Is It Possible To Get Psoriasis At 50

Psoriasis?????

Depending on how old you are there may be something that will help very much.Contact a Dermatologist and ask about treatments. If you have a mild case he may advise a cream or ointment.Be careful if he perscribes a steroid because it will cause thinning of the skin. Results will vary with these creams so don't expect to see improvements over night. Two of the creams I have used were Temovate .05% and Cutivate .06%.These are kind of expensive unless you buy generic. Both of these work really well but if you have alot of spots its a pain applying it every morning and night.About a year ago I started using Embrel 50 milligram shots and this stuff is great. You give yourself an injection once a week and in about 2 to 3 months you can't tell you ever had any break out at all.You can't afford to use this unless you have insurance because its very expensive.Talk to your Derm and see if he will request it for you.He will have to contact your insurance provider and get authorization to perscribe it to you.Something that will help you get authorized is if he will suggest to the insurance company that this will help prevent possible skin cancer. As I said before this is the wonder drug for psoriasis and it will make all the difference in the world.
If you would like to know more email me at the address listed under my screen name.I will be happy to talk to you about it.

The only cure for the Psoriasis?

Hi,

This sounds much easier to do, and less expensive too, only about $1 a day.

This is a demo video to watch for the eczema cure as seen in Japan. It is not used in Hospitals all over the world yet – but as more people get this water then they will all see that Eczema is curable.

You can try to get free alkaline water - place a wanted add on http://craigslist.com Place a add to ask for 8.5 PH drinking water, and hope that the person can also make 2.5 PH water. Drinking the alkaline water will help, even if you can not spray the 2.5 PH water on your skin and hair.

I have been helping a friend get rid of his psoriasis’ on his skin, it covers about 2 square feet of his arms and hands.

He has been spraying on 2.5 PH water for about a month now, and it is working. He is also drinking 9.5 PH water. His wife has MS, and is also drinking the 9.5 PH alkaline water, and is doing much better.

Good Luck!

Cure of Psoriasis disease?

I have read a lot of articles and doctors say that psoriasis can't be cured, it can only be controlled. But, recently, I hear claims that there is cure:
1. Mr. R.A. Mashelkar on ted talk (http://www.ted.com/talks/r_a_mashelkar_breakthrough_designs_for_ultra_low_cost_products.html), at time 13:50 (in the talk) claims that there is cure of it.
2. The site http://www.champori.com/ gives you 40 days money back guarantee.

I wanted to hear from the people who have tried these/found cure/how true these claims are?

Can I still get a pedicure if I have toenail psoriasis?

Here's a picture of how my big toenail looks kind of: (and you don't actually have to look, it's just in case you're wondering what I mean- it's not my actual foot)

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=h...

So I've never had a pedicure before, but I want to get my toenails painted white before my wedding, but I dunno if they'll do my nails if they look like this. I'd be grossed out if I was them, even though I don't have a fungus or anything contagious. Will they still do my nails? I'm sorry if this is a dumb question.

Yeast infection or psoriasis?

Please read all of it before answering.

I have an inchy, pink rash on my olabia and the area between the vagina and the anus. It is pink and when itched, leaves white pieces of skin, that looks like dry or peeling skin.

Also is this discharge normal? It is white and thick and stringy. I don't think it looks like cottage cheese. It doesn't smell. When it is stretched, it turns clear and when it dries it is yellow. The discharge does not make me itch, only the rash.

So my questions are, does this rash sound like it's from a yeast infection or psoriasis? I used to have psoriasis on my knuckles and elbows and it's in my family history. And is my discharge normal or does it sound like a yeast infection?

I have no discomfort in my vagina and it does not burn when I pee.

Hair loss due to seborrheic dermatitis or psoriasis?

"Seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp (dandruff) in adults and adolescents. Dandruff is usually treated with a shampoo that contains salicylic acid (some brand names: X-Seb, Scalpicin), the prescription medicine selenium sulfide (brand names: Selsun Blue, Exsel) or zinc pyrithione (some brand names: DHS Zinc, Head & Shoulders). These shampoos can be used 2 times a week. Shampoos with coal tar (some brand names: DHS Tar, Neutrogena T/Gel, Polytar) may be used 3 times a week. If you have dandruff, you might start by using one of these shampoos daily until your dandruff is controlled, and then use it 2 or 3 times a week.

When you use a dandruff shampoo, rub the shampoo into your hair thoroughly and let it stay on your hair and scalp for at least 5 minutes before rinsing. This will give it time to work.

If the shampoo alone doesn't help, your doctor might want you to use a prescription steroid lotion once or twice daily, in addition to the shampoo.

Seborrheic dermatitis of the skin creases in adolescents and adults. Steroid lotions may be used in adolescents and adults. "

The effectiveness of medications used to treat alopecia depends on the cause of hair loss, extent of the loss and individual response. Generally, treatment is less effective for more extensive cases of hair loss.

Do all psoriasis patients get psoriasis arthritis?

Thank you for the A2A Karthick ChandramohanHere is what I have read. Hoping it is useful and answers your question. Not everyone who has psoriasis will get psoriatic arthritis, even though the conditions are often related.Psoriasis has:patches of scaly, red, or white skin plaquesPsoriatic Arthritis on the other hand —joint swelling andPainThere is inflammation in both the cases and it is a sign that the immunity is not working.Usually, the skin problems come first and then sometimes the arthritis symptoms appear months, or even years, before skin problems do. That makes it hard to diagnose.About 40% of people who get psoriatic arthritis have relatives with it or with psoriasis.Psoriasis doesn't cause scarring or any other lasting harm to skin. But psoriatic arthritis can damage joints and leave them stiff and deformed if it isn't treated.
