Is It Safe To Ombre My Hair For The Summer

Should i ombre my hair?

I would try it out! I don't know what you would consider expensive but I know it will be around $80-$120 or even more, depending on what kind of area you live in, to get it done well. And no it will not ruin your hair if you get it done by someone that knows what they are doing. Yes it will be more damaging but your hair will be fine if you take care of it and moisturize it well. Ombré is nice too because you don't have to keep it up if you don't want to. Here is another idea that looks similar to ombré but I think is a nicer look and even less damaging, it's called balayge. With ombré their is more of a drastic difference but with balayge it can be more subtle. Here is a blog talking about it and it even has some pictures.

Whatever you do, I wish you happy hair :)

Should I get ombre hair?

I realllyyy love ombre hair and it's just really cute. I wanted like blonde highlights before but now I'm thinking ombre. Just for spring and maybe summer. I'm 13, my sister dyed hers but she didn't want to get in trouble so she only did like a few inches. Anyways, I'm scared something could go wrong but I don't really want a professional to do it because.. money.. And I don't know how my mom will react when I tell her I want it. My hair is just below my shoulders. I really love Kylie Jenner's hair and my hair is like that length maybe a little longer. So should I get it? Haha I don't know, I don't want people to think I'm too young to have it because I'm really short and people think I'm younger. But yeah. I don't know.. Should I get it or not?

Does ombre hair look stupid? Will it be out of style by summer?

I really would like to ombre the ends of my hair. I'm 14, and I have belly-button length dirty blonde hair. It is already naturally ombre a little bit, and I have natural light blonde highlights from the sun. The last time I got my hair trimmed, the stylist told me that I have the perfect color hair to ombre. My mom talked to her, and before I start high school, she's (the stylist) going to ombre my hair. (I trust the stylist's judgement because she's been cutting my hair for 3 years now, and she works at an actual salon, not at like Supercuts.)

Does ombre hair look stupid? Like I said, I'm going into 9th grade (high school) in August, and I really don't want to be teased.

My hair is like this color, but I have a little bit darker roots.:

How to un ombre hair ?

So basically I got my hair ombre'd over the summer at the salon. Before that I had never dyed my hair before ( I have medium/dark brown hair). It ended up horrible so I went back to the salon the next day and got it dyed back to my natural hair color. For a while all was good, I stopped using heat/ dying and my hair has grown long and healthy. However recently the ends of my hair have been turning blonder and blonder. I don't like how it looks. I want to dye the blondish parts my natural color, but I don't want to dye my whole head. Do you think it will be alright? Will it damage my hair a lot?Are there any other ways to get rid of ombre besides cutting it? I will NOT cut my hair as I love the length. Thank you!

Can I dye my hair and put an ombré on all on the same day?

I have dark brown hair and I am trying to lighten it up for the summer. I want to know if I can dye it and put ombré in it all in the same day? I will be using Superior Preference UL63 Hi-Lift Gold Brown and Feria Wild Ombré 070 Dark Blonde to Light Brown. Both by Loreal. Can I do this without ruining my hair? And if so how?

Ombre hair problem HELP!?

So my hair is naturally black but a month ago i went to the salon to get an ombre. The lady at the salon left the bleach on for a little too long so the top of my hair was black and the bottom was blonde. My point is it looked very unnatural. The next day I decided to dye the blonde part medium brown and it looked better than before but im still not satisfied. I just hate the brassiness and it came out sort of orangish. Is there anyway I can dye it how I want?

This is how my hair looks now:

And this is how I want it to look like:

I plan on dying my hair at home. Im looking for a dark and a medium brown color. Should it be okay to use two different color dyes at the same time? i plan on using the dark brown where the ombre starts and blend it with the medium/light brown towards the end.

Questions:
-How can I dye my hair the way I want to now?
-Is using two different dyes a good idea?
-How can I make this ombre blend more natural?

Any information is fine. Thanks for your help!!

In the summer I want to dye my hair a crazy color but at the end of me summer go back to my natural hair how can I do this without it costing a lot?

You can't. Once your hair is dyed, there is no way to get it back to your natural, except growing it out or dying it a colour that's close to what you had. However, I understand your desire for crazy hair colours; I'm putting pink and purple highlights in mine in a week! So, if you want to keep your natural but also have colour, here are a couple compromises:Peekaboo Highlights - Bleach the streaks and apply semi-permanent colour. The colour should fade by the end of the summer, leaving you with some pretty platinum blonde highlights instead.Under-section - You'll just dye a triangle at the bottom, or a layer underneath. Again, this will fade to platinum, but leave the rest of your hair natural.Tips or Ombre: You can cut off the dyed parts at the end of the summer, and you'll be completely natural again!Good luck, and have fun!

I plan to do a silver ombre on my hair, my hair is alread dyed a blondish brownish color so what do I need to know before dying it silver and how do I maintain the color?

To really get the hair silver, you will have to pre-lighten the hair to the palest yellow, almost white first. This is very hard on the hair, so you will want to get a trim after the color service, and invest in a good shampoo and conditioner (For Colored and chemically treated hair), to use at home. Also, I would buy silver semi-permanent color to use in between your appointments, in case the silver begins to fade. Beauty supply colors are not as heavily pigmented as the colors professionals use, but still good for maintenence.

How much will it cost to ombré dye my hair at great clips?

Call them and ask.

Celebrity wears two-tone hair dye all the time, trying to grow out their dye They call that look ombre hair color — darker roots, lighter ends — but colorists sees that fading. Women are wanting dimensional color with natural highlights that look like they've been playing out in the sun. On Fashion Police 1-29-13 episode, Khloe Kardashian said: "I had that in 2011!"

"Ombre is the number one poorly done color in this country! It takes a lot of blending and finesse to look natural. The key is to highlight the whole head, then deepen just the roots. Unfortunately, a lot of the ombre I see today is bad - I'm ready for that to be retired! Dye should make hair look expensive and chic. Otherwise, what's the point?" ~ Harry Josh, Hollywood's top hairstylist, who have given Gisele ombre color for 13 years.

That dip-dyed, dark-at-the-roots, light-at-the-ends look that half of Bondi is sporting looks, like, sooo last season.

We're not actually sure who this is, but she should leave the two-toned hair to the pros."

Senior colourist at Oscar Oscar in Sydney’s Paddington, Michael Kelly, agrees.
“It’s ratty, it’s tatty. It doesn’t look luxurious. It looks cheap, like your colour has grown out and you haven’t been able to afford to go to the salon and get your colour done. Girls see pictures on street style blogs and they want that hard, ombre look, but everyone ends up looking the same,” says Kelly.

Would you let your almost 12 year old daughter ombré her hair? Why or why not?

Yes, absolutely, I would let my almost 12 year old daughter ombré her hair.I would celebrate and encourage her desire to embark on an exciting new life experience.Ombré is the gradual blending of one color hue to another, usually moving tints and shades from light to dark. There are many ways ombré can be incorporated into the hair from very subtle to more dramatic. Some of the most gorgeous ombré work is actually the most subtle and incredibly beautiful.Discover Your Own IdentityOne thing I’ve learned from my 25 years in the hair and beauty industry is that everyone wants to find their own identity.Image Of Melissa Roxburgh as Michaela Stone on Manifest - Photo by James Dimmock/NBC - All Rights Reserved. Melissa has a beautiful graduate blending of hues for a rich light and dark caramel hue.Whether its by changing their hair style, length or color or getting ink or piercings, it’s important to honor that drive.Another thing I’ve learned is that hair grows back.Unless it already completely stopped growing, it always grows back.Do Your HomeworkWhile I’d completely support my daughter’s request to ombré her hair, I would also thank her for talking to me first before jumping in and just doing it herself. Before going forward with my daughter’s new hair journey I would do my homework and proceed with the following steps:Make sure my 12 year old daughter’s school didn’t have any rules or regulations against ombré hair.If my daughter’s school gives their blessing, I would call my trusted hair colorist and make an appointment for her.I would take my daughter to her hair color appointment and if it was okay with her, I would hang out and wait for her new hair color journey to begin.Afterwards I would take her to lunch or for frozen yogurt or similar to celebrate her great new ombré hair.I would help her care for her great new hair color to help extend the life of the hue.If she got tired of her ombré hair I would listen to her thoughts and help her move onto the next chapter of her hair journey. All hair is beautiful and everyone has the right to discover the way they love to wear their hair.Is 12 years old too early? Personally, I don’t think so, but that’s just me.I tend to always think outside the box and value everyone’s right to follow their own path.
