Is It True That If You Put Your Wet Phone In Dry Rice That It Will Attract Asians And The Will Fix

Does putting your phone in a bowl of rice really attracts Asians to fix your phone?

Yes, but make sure its white rice, and organic. Put it in a steamer with some greens, and oranges would be nice too. If they dont come within 30 minutes, then add a cup more of rice. Do this every half hour until they show up.

Does putting your phone in rice actually work?

I've been reading around and I keep hearing about people saying to put a phone that's gotten wet in some rice. Does it actually work because my phone works, just the screen has water in it.

How does rice get water out of phones?

Thoroughly dry rice is hygroscopic, meaning that it can pull moisture out of the air. This means that the air inside a closed container of uncooked rice should be very dry and will help you phone dry out much more quickly. Of course, if the rice has been sitting out in a humid environment, then it has already absorbed as much moisture as it can. Best to use fresh rice.Better yet. Get ahold of some silica gel. This is specifically intended for drying and is VERY hygroscopic. The same rule applies though. IF you have gel packets laying around from shipping containers or meds, they’re probably already saturated and won’t work unless you dry them again in the oven.IF you’ve seen the white kitty litter crystals, those are mostly silica and investing in a bottle of those will do a great job of drying you phone. Just keep in mind that water can cause damage won’t be fix just by drying, but it’s worth a shot.

You are about to be stranded on an unknown island. You don't know what will be on that island. What ten items do you take?

I'm assuming that in this scenareo, you're fully clothed, with shoes, and have a bag large enough to carry all ten items. Your top priority should be survival. That means:Items 1-2) Sustainable food source (Fishing Pole, Knife)Item 3) Drinking Water (Water Purifier)Item 4-5) Shelter (Tarp, Rope)Items 6-9) Sickness Avoidance (fire starter, First aid kit, plastic wrap, any medication you absolutely need to survive)The second priority would need to be rescue... NOT to attempt an escape. You are not  Tom Hanks in Castaway. It's better to wait for rescue and survive than try to escape and die. Therfore, item ten needs to be a means of radio communication. A cell phone wont work because no carrier is going to provide service on an unknown island. A radio is a safer bet. So there ya have it. I would take:1) A compact fishing kit (pole, plenty of line, many hooks, variety of bait)2) Quality knife (carbon steel)3) Pump action water microfilter4) Heavy duty Tarp with puncture repair kit5) 100' of anchor rope6) Flint-based Fire Starter (so you dont run out of  matches or butane trying to start a fire)7) First aid kit (so your cuts wont get infected)8) Plastic wrap (not many people know this, but plastic wrap actually deflects UV rays, and wont run out or wash away as fast as sunscreen -it protects you from heat stroke, but will still tear over time. It also preserves the food from between the kill and the cook)9) Life saving medication and administration instruments (If you know you're diabetic, you need to have your insulin injections)10) Solar powered multi-channel emergency radio (satellite phone works too)If you have plants growing on this island, save the seeds from the fruit and plant some more (you don't need to bring any tropical seeds,  beside you don't even know if anything you bring will grow). Test them carefully too, there are many fruits and vegetables poisonous to humans. You can use slabs of wood to cook your meat on. Just clean it first and place it close enough to the fire to get the job done. (You don't need to bring a pot or pan)If you're not out-doors savy, a survival guide will go a long way. If you don't absolutely need medication, you can swap those two out.
