Is It Wise To Change My Septum Piercing After A Week

Should I change my septum piercing after 4 days?

you shouldnt of pierced it yourself?
that was pretty stupid, but since you've done it UNPROFFESIONALLY, you should leave it for extra long to heal, i say atleas 2 months
wash it with sea salt and warm water twice a day to prevent infection

Is My Septum Piercing Good To Be Changed?

You aren't suppose to use plastic retainers in the first few weeks of any piercing.
-I would suggest waiting another week to change it, regardless if you haven't had any pain, etc.
It's safe to wait at the least a month, but if you are in such a hurry, yeah another week would be safe.
Before you put a new barbell in, soak it in rubbing alcohol first for 5 minutes.
Then soak it again in warm Sea Salt water.
-That helps it to be clean, even if you buy any body jewelry brand new, doesn't mean it's clean.
Do not take out your retainer and wait more then 2 minutes to put in the new barbell.
As soon as you take the retainer out, put the new barbell in right away. :)

*Congratulations On the New piercing!*

*Hanna, no extra H lol.
-It depends on your body.
When I was 16, I got my first lip piercing done and I wanted to change it out. I had it in 2 and a half weeks and when I took out my CBR to put in a stud, I kid you not, I had it out for 5 minutes and when I went to put the stud through, It wouldn't go in. The next day I couldn't even see a hole anymore.
It made me super mad.

Can I change my septum ring after 2 weeks I got the piercing?

I know I should wait the 6-8 weeks it takes for it to fully heal. But I'd like to change the ring for a smaller one for a couple of reasons; the ring I have now is a bit too big for my taste, and since I got my septum during winter break no one at school is used to it and I don't want it to be too noticeable at first. My piercer said it can be changed at the shop after 2 weeks, but basically then I could change it on my own as well - or can I?

Can I change my new piercings in a week?

If the jewelry is appropriate in terms of style, size, material, and quality, then it should be left in throughout initial healing. Changing jewelry too soon can result in complications including infection (if you change it yourself), excess scar tissue formation (due to trauma), and other issues. If it isn’t causing trouble and is appropriate, don’t change jewelry until you’re fully healed. (Different areas have varying healing times, and you didn’t specify placement.)

Can I change my septum ring after a week?

If you really need to replace your jewelry, I suggest you have a professional replace it for you. Trying to do it yourself can be really tricky because its so new and you should never attempt to change your jewelry until its fully healed because it causes irritation, prolongs healing time, introduces new bacteria (because you have no way of sterilizing anything) and leads to possible infection. If you go back to where you got it pierced and explain your situation, you can get different, sterile jewelry, and they should be happy to make jewelry recommendations, and change it out for you.

Changing septum bar after 2 weeks?

im a body piercer and i would say just slowly slide it out and push slowly the other one in cuz you cant do the second step you said about putting the new ring behind the other and following it out its to risky and make sure you dont leave it out long because septum piercings close extremely fast!!!
i used to have one so i would know lol....but just do what i said...it will hurt a little but nothing will happen to it...make sure you waited 15 days before changing it though because it can get infected..

Can i change my septum after 7 weeks?

I got my septum pierced the 26th of may (so its been about 7 weeks) and the piercer put a retainer in it which i was ok with until i noticed how it easy it is to knock out!>~< When i wash my face, when i sleep, etc. its only fallen out once but its really annoying and I'm always paranoid it'll fall out when I'm sleeping ;-; i flip it up sometimes but then it gets all yucky e~o i know the guy said to wait about 3 months but at this rate i might not make it till then.-. So is it safe to change it at this time? Or should i wait a bit longer?

When can I change my septum piercing for the first time? Are there any tips or tricks?

Depending on what kind of jewelry you’re wearing, there are a few ways you can go about changing jewelry. I wouldn’t advise switching it out until maybe 6 or so weeks after getting it done. I’ve had the most luck with following the end of my jewelry with the start of the new piece (usually most successful with circular barbells and retainers). Stay calm, make sure your fingers are clean and feel your way through it! It took a few tries for me to be relatively okay doing it on my own.
